It's quite possible CW really liked really bossy dominating women. It was his type. NK is Mamma Watts only younger. Also, anyone thinks the google search for "preparing for anal sex" was for NK to give not receive?
It's all starting to make sense now to me.
:D:D:D:eek:
Now that's starting to sound like fun!

The sniffle they said he forced out in the discovery docs is at about 22:10:D

Lol. I mocked that in the transcript, but it’s much funnier actually seeing and hearing it.

He’s dumber than I tell people.

I couldn't understand how so many people thought that wasn't a big deal either. It certainly was to LE. Another thing that was insisted upon was that behavior isn't evidence. Yet that was the very first thing noticed by LE.
All the insistance that we need more facts and need to be open to all possibilities when the very thing most important to LE was consistently ignored. Imo

Exactly! It's mind boggling when people suggest we suspend our own common sense when observing a suspect's demeanor, when that is actually what the best investigators utilize most!

The problem is that she coveted another woman’s life and she did it wantonly. Yes, this is what mistresses of married men do. But she was in the house that Shannon decorated with the man that chose Shannon first. She looked at pictures of the children of Shannon...her things, their things...and then she looked up wedding dresses and searched if her married lover would basically choose her. She coveted Shannon’s life. Did she murder her? No. But that is a kind of evil in its own right and it certainly set terrible events into motion.

Personally, I think it is truly a mental sickness to go into another woman’s house because you are with a married man, who is still living with his wife and look at and touch the life they built as a family and then covet it. It is like a snake slithering under your door. It wasn’t direct. Her moral character is bankrupt.
Yes, exactly...she covets the life. She either cannot, or does not care to bother to, create a certain type of life for herself or on her own. She just finds one she thinks suits her needs and moves into it. No regard for anything or anyone but herself. Period.

I am not American, and maybe there are cultural differences, but she comes across as arrogant, rude and slightly narcissist. Not what I imagined from her photos. All about how she did the right thing. IMO she sounds like a dominant person (surprise, surprise).
Yes, arrogant is what I'm getting from her delivery too...doesn't sound the least bit intimidated by the interview or the situation. Kinda blase and "over it"... And maybe I'm heartless, but her crying/talking about the girls around 1:37 sounds forced and contrived... :/

That really confused me as well.
his way of sticking it to his wife. The one thing he could do to her, mock her in her own house by having his mistress there. Dont tell me they didnt do it on sw's bed.

Why do you think there was no mention of NK’s social media searches in the discovery documents if there were, in fact searches?

Because they didn't search her social media. They didn't ask for it. They didn't get a warrant. It wasn't needed. That's why.

Many of us saw that she had had social media. You can probably do a search now and still see it.

Someone said it looks like he was falling asleep at the end of the video. I completely agree!
People asked how it was possible he wasn't tired. Guess he was. Falling asleep in the interrogation room where you're going down for murdering your own entire family? That's pretty impressive.

Its almost like NK enjoys telling the story once she gets talking she can't stop.....so gutwrenching

The thing is, there didn’t seem to be a gradual decline in the relationship according to Shanann or anyone who knew them. (Couldn’t keep his hands off her before she left, etc.) It was like the flip of a light switch. Seemingly normal one day and deadly soon after. I think that’s the reason everyone (including me) is still digging through minutiae in these documents. Trying to make sense out of something completely nonsensical.

We don’t know how it was between SW and CW.

The story that their neighbor told - how he/she observed them once fighting, and then they noticed the neighbor watching, and in three seconds changed their demeanor to that of a happy couple - is very telling. Truth is, what we see on videos/pictures is a make believe, created by Shanann, then their is Chris with his life/thoughts whom we don’t know, and then there is Shanann with her thoughts that we can not see from her posts, either.

I don’t think it changed in one day. I wonder if Chris had been dreaming about

I am reading Amber Frey’s book. And from the very beginning, I am wondering if SP dreamed of getting rid of Laci before he met Amber.

In October, Scott Peterson meets her friend and asks the friend to find someone for him, “a horny bachelor”. The person introduces him to Amber. Question one: in view of Laci very much pregnant, how many times did he attempt encounters with other women before Amber?

When Scott Peterson meets Amber for the first time, he tells about a condo and a land rover that he wants to sell as a package deal. IRL, there is no condo, but Laci has a Land Rover. Question two: has SP already thought about killing Laci and selling her car when he met Amber?

Same with Chris.

it sounded really phony at first when she started crying because she kept using the valley girl extra syllable for one syllable words. Then she more forcefully cried but she lost me by that time, she was crying for her own situation.

Sort of like the Susan Smith situation where her side man didn't want anything to do with her kids...

And casey anthony whose boyfriend didn't want Caylee around, didn't want kids and if he did have a kid, wanted a boy.

This is for gitana 1, I need a lawyers expertise, if you have time please answer a question.

Is the DA's office allowed to remove certain facts in the discovery documents
before being released to the public?
Thank You,
Book-thinker

Yes, they can redact them. If something gets released that should not, a lawyer can request a “claw-back.”

Editing to say that counsel can also claw-back something that was accidentally released to opposing counsel.

so I've been away for a while and have gotten about 1/3 through the discovery..where can I hear the NK interview?
Also...does anyone think he was going to do something with the gas can?
He barely even buried her.....she was just barely covered up.
And previously I thought he had killed the girls long before...but now I think it was after SW. That flight delay really messed him up.
Does anyone else think one of the times he went back in the house, he was flipping that latch on the front door?
OMG...the trash bags at the scene...there were two..one for each girl maybe?
What a terrible person.

OMG her married boyfriend confessed to murdering his wife and NK is going on and on about his stupid nutrition macros. The investigator was asking what they talked about at dinner and she turns it into basically a 15 minute speech about herself on how she clean eats. She is the most self-absorbed annoying person IMO.

I also was so taken back she wanted to leave the restaurant because she didn't like the menu. I realize that is so irrelevant and so what, but omg she sounds so opinionated and hard to please. It is just the opposite of what I would expect would be appealing in a mistress. I don't think she is responsible, but omg THIS is who CW annihilated his family to be with? Once again.... is mind-boggling one word or two??

It’s not necessarily that aspect of his personality that could lie to everyone he came into contact with so effortlessly that lay dormant for so many years, it’s the aspect that was capable of strangling his 2 daughters with his bare hands, and then dump them, arms over head into those oil tanks. Who could do that? There had to be signs of emotional disconnect before this happened. He had to have done some weird things in his past, but maybe not.

Probably it was some dissociative feeling, who knows why they come? He planned, but when he killed, he was in a trance-like state. I doubt we shall have evidence of cruelty to animals or anything else like it.

it is disturbing the terms feminist being thrown around here in supporting NK.
since when has helping yourself to another womans husband been a part of the feminist movement??
this immoral behaviour does not constitute feminism and if one thinks so maybe should google what womens libs actually are through time.
And even more disturbing being labelled a misogynist for disapproving immoral behaviour.
as a woman I find these terms in this case offensive and desperately inaccurate

moo

I hope you don't mean me!! Cause' I'm the only one I recall who used the word. Just in case, I don't think it's anti-feminist to disapprove of affairs or feel it's wrong to have a relationship with a married person.

But historically, the "other woman" is given the lion's share of blame while the male is excused as simply expressing male "inclinations". As if he can't help himself.

And in this case some are complaining that NK seems to be getting more blame for this than CW has for the murders.

That stuff is pure misogyny.

I just don't think that's what's been happening here. Not primarily.
