it is disturbing the terms feminist being thrown around here in supporting NK.
since when has helping yourself to another womans husband been a part of the feminist movement??
this immoral behaviour does not constitute feminism and if one thinks so maybe should google what womens libs actually are through time.
And even more disturbing being labelled a misogynist for disapproving immoral behaviour.
as a woman I find these terms in this case offensive and desperately inaccurate

Thank you. It's absolute nonsense.

There was no indication that SW killed her girls, either, but some people were bent on going over and over her videos to prove that she was cruel.
True some did do that

I am listening to it now and only 23 minutes in. I want to finish the whole thing before I say anything pertaining to NK.

But I wonder what her father is thinking as he is looking at his daughter in that room listening to her.

If I were in her shoes, my Dad would refuse to go talk to the cops with me. I can say that with 100% certainty. He'd probably tell me I should consider hiring an attorney, think about changing my name, but that's it. He would be so incredibly disappointed in me, I don't think he'd even be able to look at me.

Personally, I am still not convinced he ever felt rage. Maybe he did. I just picture him as more of a robot - devoid of human emotion beyond lust and fun - than anything else. But I could definitely be wrong. And he surely can place blame, and I agree he would have blamed her.

This interview I am listening to while typing with NK continues to chill me. It does not sound like she is talking about murder, it sounds like she is talking about a day at the beach and it rained. What a bummer. MOO.
That would actually be very consistent with some sociopaths. They can be beating someone or saying the most horrific, cruel things while having a stone-cold face like they're feeling nothing. Or even that they're amused. I'm sure it's the same when they're killing someone as when they're just ruining someone's life or beating them up.

Sorry if this has already been discussed but I just read in the discovery report that in an interview with the director of the Primrose school that the girls were set to attend, the director stated that Shannans mother called to see if the girls were in school between 0800 and 0830 that morning of the 13th. Does anyone know of this has been verified by Shannans mom that this was actually her that made this call ? I just found it strange for some reason..
My guess is that Shanann spoke with her mom every morning via phone.... maybe Shanann's mom called Shanann multiple times Monday morning and it went straight to message so she called the school... (?)

She does say she made it clear she had no intention of hanging out with him when he would have his kids during his 50% post divorce. I do not fault her for that at all, but I can see how he came to see they were a liability. She may have also (completely innocently) said that she had seen herself with someone who did not have a prior family. Again, I would not fault her at all for this. I am beginning to think it was less financial for him and more about freedom, pursuit of NK (his new toy), and the fact that the kids were far more attached to their mother than they were to him. MOO.

Second time she went to their house, they "had went out" and stopped at their house for a moment. She saw a pic of SW and said "wow, she's (and kids) so beautiful" why would he want to leave. It "almost made her feel bad"

She sounds a little narc-y herself!

Ok, I had never heard of "vocal fry" until right now and googled it. I wanted to say she sounded like a smoker. That would be why.

Edited to add: Google shows about 6 articles on vocal fry in New Zealand media sites in the last twelve hours. I must live under a rock!
Sounds like a blase, bored , over-it-all, Xanax popping little millennial side chick to me.

You make very good points. I can see feminist concerns, eg the focus on NK, rather than CW, the idea that a women is behind every mans crime (therefore to blame)., in this case Mrs Watts and NK.

However I consider myself a feminist too. Unfortunately the facts speak for them self. If she was just another AP, she would have gone to police, been honest, helped with the investigation and we could have had sympathy for her situation. Even if she outright admitted cheating with a married man, again not the best morals but she we all know people who have done that Im sure.

Without a doubt she is not to blame for his crime as he was the one who committed the offenses. However, this man wiped out his family and she was the person who he was intensely involved with for the last 6 weeks of his families life. That's not a coincidence, and it more than warrants further investigation. People want to understand why and what triggered his crimes.

Yes she is not to blame, but its incredibly misogynist to think that we cant question a women because shes just a 'victim of a man'. Because to me I thought women were just as equal in capability as men, including being awful, immoral bad characters.

Women are well underrepresented in the crime statistics which in part is a form of misogyny too.

I bet she saw a lot more than that! And didn't she thank him for celebrating her birthday on the 3rd while SW was in NC with her family wanting to see fireworks but they were rained out...

This whole story is so sickening. Who would have ever thought this could possibly have happened?

Maybe the sex was so good she threw it to the wind, I did hear her say they had a lot in common.
Now that I can believe, them having a lot in common. Lying, decieving, sneaking.

Just listening to the interview, already so many inconsistencies, the bottom line is there is no room for deception of any kind for any reason in a murder case.

Did she run or work out? Did she use Thrive, watch Nascar, or root for the Steelers? What in the world did they have in common besides sex, I wonder? MOO

I still think we can’t get into NK’s state of mind, and I can’t help but feel the shock, disgust and horror she must have felt about the intimate parts of herself she shared with that monster, CW and why she’d want to erase any connection with him and what they did together ASAP as a woman, without giving any thought to a police investigation. Maybe I’m wrong. She didn’t delete her texts about CW to her friends which you think she would do if she was trying to impede the investigation. As it turns out the police were able to take the information NK gave them, without the texts, and walk into that interview room and coerce CW into confessing, and with NK’s consent, were able to download most of the deleted texts.

They didn't need her consent. And maybe at first she thought they would not be interested in texts ABOUT CW from her to a friend. But she told her friend to delete texts between them. So clearly she was still trying to hide stuff from LE. Not a nice look.

I would not be talking about her though if her conduct in thwarting an investigation and being concerned about things as crass as book deals and net worth after babies were murdered, wasn't being minimized here.

First 3 minutes is NK mumble, annoying mumble and suddenly her voice becomes perky after Investigator tells her she can leave at anytime -- unbelievable.
He tells her that right away though

ugh..........NK: "the bar we "used" to go to (Lazy Dog)" as if this entire affair is eons in the past. This whole interview in cringe-worthy.

  • #1,398
NK didn't come on to CW. He went into her office and introduced himself. That was how it began. IIRC He initiated things. To me that's evidence his personality was changing, a new CW was emerging. No more quiet guy in the background.
From what I remember in the document dump, the scenario you're describing is what NK told LE in her first interview, but I can't recall any independent verification of her version. I do remember reading that a fellow coworker saw them standing very close together, in a way that seemed "non-coworker-y", in April though...

I believe she did say they were into healthy living and eating,,,she liked cars but did not know as much as he did. But they were also interested in what each other were if they were different things. Still listening.

Almost. But then she threw herself at him.
