Anyone else feels after following cases on Websleuth that you can spot a narcissist much quicker? I know I can spot them and there's frankly way too many!
Another poster said they can spot one a million miles away. I feel I learned to fine tune my skills. I wish I had this knowledge as a teen when I was attracting abusive Narcs one after the other in my life.
I read an article that said that if a narcissist has "chosen" you, it's actually a compliment.... The argument was that Narcs are attracted to good-hearted and kind people because their techniques are more effective on them... :/

Agree. I also loved how Coder introduced the notion of two CW's. He was correct in that, and he was trying to draw out the real CW and combined with Tammy and the polygraph, they got the real CW to come out of hiding.
Agree! And I also don't remember CW ever contesting the theory of two CW's. Instead, CW was saying things about the CW you're talking to right now, etc...

  • #403
So, did CW write that letter? OR did a Watts family member write it, and try to pass it off as evidence?

JMO, that letter was the complete fabrication of someone close to CW. The DA's response to a question in the presser regarding the letter is telling - he refused to even acknowledge that it ever existed or that LE had ever even heard about it. It was too ridiculous for the DA to waste his breath on, JMO.

LOL! You're right - that's how he responded to that. A normal person would have been very highly insulted if someone suggested they were two different people.

It was a real tell and Coder definitely knew his customer.

No one knows who wrote it.

Did she take the photos after August 13th? Did she hire a PR firm or attorney to help her?
When did she have the time to do this?!
ETA: The news agency gave her a makeover for the shot? Is that correct?

Hard to say when, but guessing it was taken by a staff photographer close to the date of publication. Here is the article, published November 15th.

Christopher Watts girlfriend Nichol Kessinger speaks about Frederick murders

A snippet mentions that she was interviewed on a Thursday, but not which one.

Kessinger was working in the environmental department with an Anadarko Petroleum contractor when the two met, she said during a Thursday morning interview in the office of her lawyer, Ed Hopkins.

jmo

ETA: Correction, the photo was by a freelance photojournalist. If you Google his name he is on social media.

I gave the mistress the benefit of the doubt in the beginning. Lots of ppl have affairs, including ppl I know personally. The outcome usually isn’t murder. However, she has lied since the get go and some of the info that has come out including the work emails has me very suspicious. If I were a friend of Shanann’s or a family member, I would be absolutely disgusted/livid with NK. She may not have assisted in the murders but I don’t believe she’s an innocent victim.

<modsnip - rumor>

I just wonder what NK could have possibly done to assist the police in finding the missing wife and children as she claims as one of the reasons she contacted the police. I think she thought it was a nice thing to say but really didn't mean it

I don't remember that. The same page shows a call at 2112 hours (9:12 pm) from FPD that lasted 6 minutes. Where are you seeing the 2 am call?
Page 22 of discovery - Officer Goodman supplementary report - he notes that at 2am (14th Aug) he was trying to put together the missing persons report and he phoned CW several times and all he got was dead air. CW called him back from his work number and never asked if there was any news.

Somewhere else in discovery it says that at 2am CW was playing phone tag or something like that but I haven't got the page number, that's just from memory. Probably the section near the end where they put together the texts in sequence.

SW had contacted the a/c repair guy on August 10th while she was in AZ for her work trip.
Inmate Watts had the day off work, but he was too busy looking up comedy clubs, restaurants, shopping for a new car and getting his new Amazon Fire Stick to bother with a/c repairs.
The high on August 12th was 91 degrees fahrenheit, so it would have been pretty hot upstairs, which is why I was wondering if the windows were open the night of the murders.
I assumed it was the upstairs a/c that wasn't working because those ceiling fans were all running at high speed, while the ceiling fan in the family room downstairs wasn't even turned on.
Maybe the disc 2 docs will show if it was ever repaired, but I haven't had time to look at them.

Disc page 2111 8/10/18
1808 hours: Shanann asked Matt Johnson (720- if he was still planning to stop by her home and repair the air conditioning. Johnson said he hopes to and will coordinate with Watts. Shanann and Watts then exchanged messages regarding this expected repair

Thanks for the information that on Thursday, I think that day is correct, after she was in Arizona she called somebody about the air conditioning was not working. And that possibly is an explanation for the fans not working.

I had not heard of that bout that before, and I had not seen any phone calls relating to following up on such which I would think would be very important for the family, or somebody else would have mentioned elsewhere

I've only gotten through about 10 of the very many post that were on that last release, and I haven't commented on any of it here except for her for co-workers whose interviews were on it and we're obviously in the police department, because I don't know if we are allowed to. It's not mainstream media in the specific videos or text.. I don't think can be linked here.

I know from experience with my abusive ex,and his string of Side chic's who wanted to replace me.
I didn't even realize until after a year of being free of him, that he's a sociopath.
I can spot them better now.

I believe that’s this call, at 0159 hours on the 14th

I'd think the scent of death would be strong enough a ceiling fan couldn't throw the scent.

watching the canine videos again, I think you might be I'm just something. Watch where the dogs are barking.

Q: How much time passed do you think from the time that she was back in the bed until you put ‘em in the truck?

A: I’m not sure.

Q: Like, we talkin’ minutes, hours, somethin’ else?

A: From when I, like, from when I left the house?

Q: No, like, from when you got her into bed to when you put ‘em in the truck how long did that -- how long a time was that?

A: So, like, from when the time in my truck, from the bed to the truck?

Q: Yep from your master bed to the truck, yeah.

A: Minutes

I feel like he misunderstood this question, and thought she meant how long it took to carry (or drag) her from the bed to the truck, rather than how long between killing her and removing her.

I just wouldn’t be surprised if he went and made a protein shake first ...

Wow, good catch. I had not noticed that before:

Somewhere we have NK's phone records too. I thought there were more calls between her and CW from midnight to 2 AM. I'll see if I can find that.

And it was so important he didn't even answer the calls from police at 2am because he was on the phone to NK, I believe.

Someone up thread did a timeline, can somebody repost it?

They use the good-hearted person's qualities against them to destroy them. Sociopaths and Psychopaths do the same, and they are also fueled by narcissism. These are also folks to watch out for as they always cause incredible damage to their victims.

My rule of thumb as a non-professional is to be familiar with Cluster B symptoms. It's a spectrum and there are tells if you pay close attention. Don't ever try to dismiss or negate a tell. It's best if you are able to spot this before allowing the disordered person access into your life because once they have gained access, you are already a victim, and it's probably a matter of whether you get to live or not.

Probably the same reason he parked it at the airport, leaving it exposed to the weather, instead of getting a taxi as Shanann asked. To trash anything important to his wife. Like he tossed the book she gifted him in the trash. This is mindless hatred directed at Shanann. He can't do it in a confrontational way because then he'll get called out on it, he has to keep the mask of "good boy" on, so he does it slyly and derives satisfaction from it.

The pieces are falling into place for me, (moo) he was seething in a controlled way after Shanann 'hurt' his father and 'caused' his father to shun them all. From that point on he was planning how to kill Shanann. The children crept into his plan because they were mirrors of her and she adored them. His mindset is clear when he says we aren't compatible anymore and I've stopped loving you. That's how it happened for him, lights off. Now he had a new potential partner in the wings who would be his new feeder/supply so he was all set. Psychologically he stopped developing at about age 3 or 4 (moo). He never developed empathy for anyone except his father and that isn't even real empathy, it's reactionary and impulsive enmeshment rather than a rationalized thinking system, and it developed without his awareness, so very young. He is a boy locked inside a man's body.

I think he wrote the letter his family claimed to have and he wasn't clear at that point how he was going to do it, but it included the children. His mind set to work on the 'how' the week they returned from NC. But he had to retain the mask at all times, right up to the point of killing. His rage was ice cold and white, because the part of him that wanted to kick and scream and tantrum (the toddler) was killed by his mother. So he felt nothing but possibly satisfaction that he had avenged his father. I never intended to go from the parking of her car to why he committed the murders but it all followed on so I thought I'd get it out. :)

All MOO
"I think he wrote the letter his family claimed to have..."
Wait, what???

Great. So that's what I thought, it's a bit blurry for me but is that an incoming call from CW at 1:51am, 8 minutes lasting until 1:59am? That is the time FPD were trying to call him.

I'm sure you sleuthers have already discussed this, but...
Remember the text NK sent to her friend saying something about how CW already had a family, and that she wanted to have that with someone who hadn't already done that? (paraphrasing badly) Maybe she said the same to CW. He would do anything for her after all.
