No, he definately didn't say it to him at that point. If it came up at all it would have been later on. But I didn't see it so I don't know.
He possibly told him once he knew he wouldn't be going back to the site or back to work.

Why would it be odd that her purse and car keys were on the counter?
Because Shanann and the girls were not there. I think McCoy was talking about when Chris had received the call from NAU, and she told him what was going on.

Yes, I believe he killed them all. I just found it curious that LE didn't include the girls with SW in the line of questioning. Wondered what other posters thought.
They did? When LE looked him in the face and said, you're lying and the only logical explanation is you killed them all and that is what we think.

Wow, the SA is masterful.

Loved SA Coder interviewing CW.:):):)
"I just don't believe some of the things you're telling me."
Let's talk about the 2 Chris, and he continues.
Did something terrible.

Then the ridiculous lies by Sewer Slime.
"I promise you that".
"Nothing in this world will make me do anything to my kids, or my wife".

Fantastic.:):):)
Tale of 2 Chris.
MOO.

From Coder: "NOTHING YOU'VE TOLD ME MAKES SENSE".:):):)

Last thing this creep sees, is the kids on the monitor and his wife in bed.
MOO.

I don't remember him mentioning the ring being on the counter at all. If he did, it would just he one more lie he told. I just don't know why he would change that particular detail.

This case has affected me like no other one has. I have even told my husband that sometimes, his mannerisms remind me of Chris Watts The Family Annihilator. Shanann was completely blindsided and had no idea he was planning to kill her. On Facebook, she wrote that she was EXCITED to come home to Chris and the girls and had no idea he was all prepared to kill them.

It is very scary to me that he could be so loving to her, apparently, and then become The Family Annihilator. He is being held in the same prison that Ed Gein was and where Steve Avery of Making a Murderer is, according to the news.

This case is probably going to haunt me for life. I cannot look at any man, husband, or father the same. Every single person reported that Chris was loving, kind, gentle, great father, good husband, "not like THAT","OH that's NOT like Chris", and he became an evil monster that could kill his pregnant wife and two little children.
  • How? How does that happen? Why?
  • I have trouble understanding that he annihilated his entire family simply for NK... I believe that sinister, serious, deep evil overcame him.
How could you deceive Shanann, an innocent person thinking that you're going to love her and stay with her to work on the marriage? How could you lure her and lie to her just to kill her? How can you kill two innocent babies, ones that call you their "hero"?

I am trying to find closure and I don't think I will be able to, despite my hours and days of research...

I relate to Shanann. I'm also OCD, have chronic pain, a planner of all things, and have a dominant, "take charge" personality.

Makes me so sad reading your post. Keep in mind how rare this type of murder is.

And there are plenty of female murderers.

Your husband and dad should not pay the price for what CW did.

None of us will ever really know why. Only CW knows and he will never tell. So it’s best to just accept that and move on.

Maybe stepping away from this for awhile would be best for you and your family. Best wishes to you for peace

Do you remember which interrogation video this is from?

Interesting when you put it all together like that. And the fact that NK rang the CBI agent after her initial interviews to point out how weird she found it that CW never seemed to need sleep. He kept her up late at night to the point she had to take naps after work to keep up with him but she said he could never seem to switch off. Sounds like he bugged her no end on their camping trip because he wouldn't go to sleep and she was exhausted. He was like some kind of strange robot.

I think CW was using drugs. Perhaps Adderall and I wonder who supplied it.

I have several threads to catch up on but wanted to ask if anyone can link me to the last document dump? Thank you, in advance.

I know that my spouse would never hurt me, in 10 years he has never even raised his voice to me. Now, my ex husband, there is something wrong with him, I just couldn't be with him any longer. It was obvious that he checked out of our marriage, I chose to leave. I think that he did have the capacity to kill me.

If you think that your spouse is dangerous, leave. Or, if your marriage is bad, and he has changed, don't stay. SW thought she could fix everything, some people can't be fixed.

There are probably clues, both CW and SP were cheating on their wives. Their marriage vows were meaningless. And it is a slippery slope, to realizing that their wives were meaningless as well.

Even without the ring, why would it be worth mentioning that her bag and keys were on the counter?
Are we sure that CW told TM that on Monday morning?
No, Watts said he was going home to check on SW. She had missed a Dr appt and no one could get hold of her. On Mon evening McCoy texted CW and his replies were "short with him". After that McCoy commented to his wife about the strangeness of the circumstances. He began to get suspicious at that point.

That she was ' missing' but hadn't taken her phone or keys.

We have no evidence to indicate he was taking any medication like that, nor that he suffered from any ADHD like conditions.

Is this based on anything?

They said it many times throughout. They told him of their suspicions and how many others, in fact everybody, suspected him of doing something bad to his family. When he denied it they suggested maybe it was an accident. At the end, when they suggested Shanann had done something and he was trying to cover for her, it was just a technique to open the door to a confession. They never truly thought she had done anything to hurt them. They knew once he confessed to that they had him. Imo

It was crazy to watch him answer that question. He just took the cue from the investigator and repeated the same words, "The Chris you are talking to right now loves his kids and would never hurt them. That's the Chris your talking to. I promise." I really wanted Coder to say something like,"well how about if you consult with the other Chris so we can hear what he has to say?"

It was indeed crazy to watch how CW reacted to that! It would have been great to hear Coder tell him to ask the other CW! That would have been as good as what Tammy said after the lie detector test, but before she told CW he failed.

He was fiddling around with his phone and she asked him if he'd received a phone call from Shanann.

Also, no my marriage is not bad. My husband is kind and good. I just can't believe that CW was reported by friends to be "kind, loving, and good" to, in reality, a family annihilator. It makes me more suspicious of people.

In NK texts to her friend Charlotte, she wrote that because he has kids, "I feel like I will always be second" and that "he has done everything already".

That was a painful and frustrating time having to watch those lies explored. And watching a victim of a horrific crime having to be defended against lies and innuendo. jmo
It was horrible. I can't imagine how her family felt.
