Her brother talks about how private she was. Her Facebook didn't show that but I think its because everything she shared, was just every day life. I really don't think Chris had any idea that Shanann had shared with all her friends, how he had been treating her and that he no longer wanted the baby. He thought they would still think of him as a "nice guy". I think that is why they all caught on so quickly. Besides that, they really knew Shanann.

I think Chris gave up caring about SW after the nut incident and his dad's reaction to it. The reason everyone caught on so quickly was because SW was telling how suddenly bizarre he was acting toward her and her pregnancy.

With a toxic narcissist, everything is about control. If he had agreed to go to therapy, the red flags would be thrown by the therapist. JMO

hi I don't know if this has been brought up yet, and not current topic, but the timeline on the night Chris was supposed to have gone to the Rockies game and went to dinner/ used the credit card..NK said they went to dinner around six 6:30 so maybe the latest 7. Maybe paid bill by 8 the latest but wasn't he supposed to be at the game at that time and wouldn't Shanann have found out the time that the credit card was charged?? Maybe she found out around the time when she called home which was said to be about 7:50 and perhaps she asked the babysitter what time Chris left??? Just a thought!

I recall he told her he went for food and drinks after the game but there's no possible way you could have went to the game and been at dinner by six 6:30?

Not sure if this will help answer your questions, but here is the phone record timeline from that night (Discovery pg 2113-2114):

Shanann was suspicious since she searched for what time the game got over and also for menus for the restaurant to look up their prices. I believe CW didn't care if SW suspected something at this point because he had already planned to murder his family. He used the card on purpose so she would see the charge. JMO.

Did he ever care at all?

Did he ever care at all?

About his family? No, I don't think so.
About what they thought of him? Yes.
I think that is the only thing he has ever cared about-- how he looks to others.
MOO.

Thank you. In all that info in the document dump, it seems that if drugs (prescription, legal, or otherwise) were suspected or involved then there would have been some kind of mention in the investigation.

I just saw that you are in the hospital and had surgery. Please take care and prayers for a speedy recovery!

Is it possible this is as simple as Occam's? A pudgy, unpopular, DEVIANT guy who found a new sexuality from getting lean and toned, found a new hot chick/s and decided he was bored with his wife and babies?

Money would be a lube into his newfound adventurous life with new sex partners and his appeal would be increased by a nasty, overspending wife who ran off with their toddlers? And she was pregnant by someone who is not Chris Watts?

Seriously mybelle, please stop insulting the pro-victims with trying to excuse CW's behavior. Its not ok. He killed his pregnant wife and toddlers in the cruelest way imaginable.

He destroyed the lives of Shanann's friend and family and now the excuse is he might be a drug user?
That's as useless an excuse as a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 with tastebuds.

Mods, I'm sorry but this is just unbelievable on a pro-victim forum.

IMOO and most others.

BBM. Respectfully, I have NEVER excused CW's behavior. Drugs are an explanation and so are a personality order. He confessed and is exactly where he needs to be.

I wonder how he feels about his appearance now, as one of the most hated men in America.

I hope he receives no shortage of letters containing news coverage of this case, especially the tabloid ones.

Drugs/alcohol can wreck the brain's wiring and fuel acts of domestic violence. Domestic violence is epidemic in the U.S. and the correlation to drug/alcohol abuse is documented. It is a serious issue that should concern us all.

JMO

BBM. Drugs/alcohol remove the ability to suppress rage and is why there is such a strong correlation between domestic violence and the use of drugs/alcohol.

Awesome information but it has nothing to do with this case. No evidence whatsoever of either alcohol abuse or drug use by Shanann or Inmate Watts. MOO

Are you willing to say you were wrong for bashing Shanann in the beginning and that CW is an evil monster and that a pregnant mommy and her precious toddlers were murdered by a WICKED PUTRID monster?

Because until you do, and you stop making excuses like drugs and thrive patches for this evil 🤬🤬🤬 it is hard to take anything you say seriously.

That goes for you and the other bashers like ShekkieC.

Please Mybelle. I understand this is a very sensitive subject. CW is Norman Bates as Levi said, and is pure evil as is his sister and ma and pa Watts.

Not moo.

I have been called for Jury Duty. It will be interesting.....
The voir dire or whatever it's called is the WORST. My name ends in S right? and they went through everyone, 40 or so of us, one by long excruciating one, asking 10,000 questions of each person. They didn't get to me till the end of the day on Wednesday! So I sat for 3 days listening to about 5 people/day tell their idiotic, boring, irrelevant life stories, while freaking out about all the work I was missing. I was amazed that people actually WANTED to be there and get picked for the jury! It is definitely not at all like Law and Order. More like 'Yawn and Snore'.

It almost makes one wonder if they knew he was on the phone and had a trap on his phone through a search warrant.

Interesting thought, but I think we would have seen that warrant in the documents, wouldn't we? I was thinking the purpose of calling at 2 AM was to test his reaction. His family is "missing" and the police call at 2 AM? Innocent people would be frantically asking right away-- "did you hear from her? Have you found my kids?" CW didn't bother asking. And the LEO's questions were rather basic ones (description details of the girls and SW) that could have waited until a decent hour of the morning if there had been any evidence SW walked away voluntarily. I think LE were onto him pretty fast. This was a test. CW failed. MOO.

Did he ever care at all?
I think he did. It wasn't until he got involved with Nickol that he seemed to lose interest. Shanann had said his comments just came out of the blue and before she left they couldn't keep their hands off each other. Everyone who knew them thought they were happy. He was always compliant. He never complained. He may have been getting bored with the marriage, but I think it was the idea of having a new life with a new woman that precipitated the loss of interest in his family. Imo

When my brother passed away, I was in shock. I didn't know it then. Frankly, I couldn't think. My husband literally told me every move to make for a week. There is no way, if he was in shock, he could have gone through with dumping them and trying to hide evidence. I guess, every case could be different but I can't imagine it would be that different. So the whole time people are saying he is in shock, I'm thinking that's not the look I had on my face. A laugh never escaped my lips.

My sympathy for your loss.

I never thought CW was in shock. I think he was in pure panic mode when he disposed of the bodies. In those interviews, he looked incredibly nervous to the point he was rocking. JMO

I'm sure I've missed a lot, but have I missed info pertaining to CW and drug use? Is there any source to back up this speculation or is it just someone's theory?
The only source is the search that was found from his phone about the 80 milligrams of oxycodone. But we have no other details so maybe it stems from that. And that has nothing to do with caffeine or steroids or meth so who knows. Imo

Nervous yes. For himself of course. No I don’t think he was in panic mode when he disposed the bodies. Nope try again.

There is nothing to it IMO. I think there are some posts I can't see though so I might have missed something. :p
The only thing I know that has been revealed recently in regards to drug use is that CW's father abused cocaine when CW went away to college.

PS: Praying for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery for you, mtnlites!

I don't think the panic began until he found out that NAU had called the police and they were at his house. His coworkers observed him right after he disposed of the bodies and not one of them said he seemed panicked or even nervous. Imo

Yup, and right up until CW actually CONFESSED to what he did there were people here bashing, blaming and invalidating SW, Baby Neko, Bella and CeCe. SMH!!!

Ours is nothing like that. The last jury that I was on the jury selection started at 10am and we were in the courthouse by 12 noon. No questions except that you are asked to leave the room a) if you know the person or a relative of their, 2) if there is anything in your life which would cause an influence on this crime.

Nope, no panic - CW went about his day as usual. All his co-workers said he was acting completely normal.

Pg 1045 (Discovery pg 1162)
"Packed my lunch box, had my oatmeal, chicken. Filled my water jug up. 5:15
went outside, back of my truck I had loaded up, had my book bag, my
lunchbox, computer, water jug, my big co- big clear container, I put big clear
containers in my truck so it’s easy just to pull out, pull in, just depending on
what I’m going to use. About moving kit. I knew it was gonna do some
splitting box rubbers that day, so I got some various open end wrenches from
my toolbox, I know those work better than the ones they would give me."

Blah, blah, blah...just another day.

MOO
