Yes, but it was suggested that he told a coworker that it was on the counter, which is where the purse was. I was wondering if he told two different stories. There are many examples of that but I had not heard the one about the ring.

I listened to NAU interview. She actually initially found the purse in her office, at the right side of the open door on the floor. She then took it to the counter. It was not originally on the counter.

Maybe. But it just doesn't sound like something he would say, it sounds more like Shanann. I can't remember who said she was the one who wrote all his posts on FB. I remember long ago many posters said it sounded like he was mimicking Shanann on his FB account, so it made sense when it turned out she was actually posting his comments for him. Imo

Did we ever have any evidence from Shanann or her Thrive friends that she posted for CW on his facebook? I only recall seeing that from his pro-Watts family friends and/or coworkers in the discovery documents. I agree that those words don't sound like him but we know he is almost incapable of coming up with his own words. He had to google song lyrics to write love letters to NK. He repeated words and phrases that SW said to describe Bella and CeCe's personalities. It would not surprise me one bit if those comments on the baby blog were written by CW but were taken directly from things that SW said that day when they went to get the ultrasound. CW was just a big pretender. JMO.

I think Chris gave up caring about SW after the nut incident and his dad's reaction to it. The reason everyone caught on so quickly was because SW was telling how suddenly bizarre he was acting toward her and her pregnancy.

With a toxic narcissist, everything is about control. If he had agreed to go to therapy, the red flags would be thrown by the therapist. JMO
I think he stopped caring about her because he was in love with someone else and had already made up his mind that he was done with them. I don't think the nut incident would have changed anything. Imo

This just my own opinion, but the reason I would question if he abused prescription meds or street drugs, is not to absolve him of his choice to murder his own family. I see it more as another indicator that he makes deviant choices that are contrary to societal norms. If he did begin usuing drugs, it would indicate another way that he selfishly made choices that suited whatever fix he wanted to get with total disregard to what is best for his wife and children.

Does that make any sense?

Anyways...I would have to assume that LE has explored this possibility and tested his blood work for these drugs.
Sorry for all my typos. Still can't figure out how to edit my posts for typos.

Awesome information but it has nothing to do with this case. No evidence whatsoever of either alcohol abuse or drug use by Shanann or Inmate Watts. MOO
This case is one of the most heinous acts of domestic violence I've ever heard about. CW has admitted guilt. SW's family are searching for explanations for CW's sudden turn to extreme violence. So am I. JMO

Maybe you missed the DA's press conference?

At the 23:43 mark:
"...He found a new love interest; and for whatever reason, in his mind, divorce wasn't an option. I can't speak as to why anyone would take the steps that he did but during the course of our investigation, other than the normal stressors of the financial stress that I think most of us have, the occasional marital stress, we couldn't find anything else that was a significant enough motive to annihilate your family in the manner that he did..."

CW’s text messages indicate that a friend and his family were going to stay with the Watts coming up. I wonder what CW was going to tell the friend after Shannan and girls went “missing”?

He would probably say she was on a playdate. MOO

Try this. When you look at your post, there will be a blue 'EDIT' , on the left side, just under your post. Click on that, and your post will reopen in a new window. You can change what you want, then click on 'SAVE CHANGES', in the bottom right corner.

You usually only have about 45 min to an hour, to make edits. After that, the EDIT button goes away.

How much have you read about Family Anhilators? We have around 40 pages now, at least, discussing their lack of previous violence, their motivation, etc. Dozens of links have been provided with information offering explanations. I haven't seen you on the forum since CW asked for the plea deal so it is possible you missed out on these discussions.

I would be open to discussing the possibility of drug use IF there were any indication whatsoever that he was under the influence. Since there isn't, though, I don't see the relevance.

I think that SW's family are fine with the fact that he is an evil man.
It is CW's family that keep either denying that he did it, blaming SW if he did do it, or finding other reasons for their dear little boy.

I don't remember who said it. I just can't imagine him saying, "We even saw you sucking your thumb, or "I can't wait until we get to hold you!" It just doesn't jive with anything he has said. After listening to him talk for hours everything is either literal or something he heard before. He has no imagination. Its just my opinion that those words did not come from him.

It would be great if we had a simple answer here, one that everyone could understand.

We all want an answer to something that is unfortunately inexplicable.

It’s human nature on our part.

The fact is, this type of thing has happened many times in the past, and will happen again in the future.

Drugs, rage, mental illness etc, are rarely the answers we are seeking in cases like this.

“He wanted a new life with his love interest,” doesn’t work for most of us.

But that’s the best we’ve got, and the best we are likely to get.

It sucks.

Nope, no panic - CW went about his day as usual. All his co-workers said he was acting completely normal.

Pg 1045 (Discovery pg 1162)
"Packed my lunch box, had my oatmeal, chicken. Filled my water jug up. 5:15
went outside, back of my truck I had loaded up, had my book bag, my
lunchbox, computer, water jug, my big co- big clear container, I put big clear
containers in my truck so it’s easy just to pull out, pull in, just depending on
what I’m going to use. About moving kit. I knew it was gonna do some
splitting box rubbers that day, so I got some various open end wrenches from
my toolbox, I know those work better than the ones they would give me."

Blah, blah, blah...just another day.

MOO

I believe the only time he might have felt "panic" is when he thought he might be caught. Nothing in regards to remorse. He is a non- human.

This is a heinous act of violence, but it is not unique. There are MANY other cases that are strikingly similar

Chris was not the first seemingly normal man to mass murder his family to create a new life with a new woman; he won't be the last.

Yeah, we saw panic when he was reviewing those surveillance videos at his neighbor’s house.

I get a lot of satisfaction out of that.

Yes and the way he looked at NUA at the house.
