So is all mail inward and outward bound vetted? Stupid women, wonder if CW gets any mail from MALE admirers?

It’s all opened, by a machine. It’s not read, necessarily. Prisons don’t have that kind of manpower. Outbound mail isn’t read. The inmate seals and stamps the outbound envelope.

Iirc Scott P was getting bags of mail & extra mail room help was needed. I’m sure his popularity has declined by now.

All NK has to do is change her name to something mundane "Nichole Lee" or "Nichol Smith" and then just lay low for the next few years. Everyone will forget about her.

Screwing around with a married man is bad news, and I'm a millenial so it must be a morality problem. Both this case and the Betty Broderick case have cemented my decision to never screw around with a man who's still attached to his wife. It never leads to anything good.

As I've said before, NK above all, is an opportunist so if she can play the unsuspecting victim, she will.

I probably have more sympathy for NK than a lot of people, but the whole witness protection thing is a bit much. If you are a public figure at all then there are going to be people who don't like you. There will be people you've never met who downright hate you. You'll get a lot of crap written about you on the internet and, yes, some of it will be disturbing. I have a job that keeps me in the public and I couldn't count the number of mean social media posts, crazy messages and emails, and, yes, Facebook groups that have cropped up about me. Welcome to the millennium. The good news is that eventually the public moves on. They have short attention spans.

I would argue that NK didn't ask to be in the public, she didn't know when she slept with a married man that all of this was going to happen, but since her name's been released she hasn't exactly done herself any favors either.

There are MANY other people involved in various crimes (as victims and perps) who received death threats and bad publicity and they were not put in any kind of "protection" program. I don't believe that NK was either. I refuse to believe that the state would extend any kind of financial assistance to her, especially when they didn't wind up needing her for a trial. The whole "witness protection" thing was a rumor that started back in August on a social media group. If I remember correctly, it was a theory because her social media accounts had disappeared. The rumor has been around for quite some time and that's what I believe it is-a rumor. Someone probably decided to turn it in to Radar as some kind of "exclusive" so that they could cash it in.

If they helped at all, I could only see them gathering the paperwork for a legal name change and perhaps helping her buy a plane ticket in another name so that her destination couldn't be traced. (I know someone in CO that had help with both.) But I can't see anything beyond that.

And you are absolutely right. Change to another last name and slap on some different makeup and nobody would know the difference.

Sometimes a wealthy person will buy crime scene real estate & raze it. Actually, the builder could buy it back, absorb the loss, tear it down & maybe make a little park/memorial area on the lot. Nothing morbid, maybe a place for people to sit on a bench, a fountain or two.....

This is my vote as a local. What a wonderful idea, something like this, maybe a little play area, “Bella Celeste Park”. We have seen this done with Jessica Ridgeway, Abby and Libby (softball park)...oh we have to get Niko in there too.

I think the community could benefit from this. Maybe a little community center building.

I’m not sure how others feel about this.

Of course I personally could never live in that house, but there are others I’m sure who could and would, especially for a deal. It’s booming out here, moo. They say thousands are moving to Colorado every month so I would not expect it to necessarily be that less expensive, so to speak. Supply is low and demand is high, moo.

Someone new moved into the Ramsay house, right? Iirc it sold for a lot of money, considering it’s Boulder. I think I looked that up one time...need to go back and check...I think the value has probably quadrupled by now. (I’m no real estate expert.)

The builders, etc may choose an approach to just bury that it ever happened and just sell the house and try to forget about it, idk....

I think since it’s a fairly new subdivision with an HOA, the builder will buy it. Agree? Even if he razed the home and left lot vacant for a few years, he could then build a new home, dif’ style, etc. maybe move the hoa office to that lot.

Maybe it's weird, but I could live that house. I've lived in others where bad things have happened. I believe in a lot of paranormal things, but I mostly believe in energy and the idea of taking a place with negative energy, a place that's had some bad stuff, and "flipping" it with positive appeals to me. If something awful happened to my family (knock on every wooden table in my house) then I would love it if another family moved in and filled the rooms with laughter, music, and talking again. Something terrible happened, but lots of beautiful things happened in it, too. For me, it would be sadder to see a vacant lot or even a new construction than to drive by and see the yard full of children's toys, a family grilling out, etc.

There's no right or wrong way to feel about it, though. I just have a thing for houses.

And their names, birthdates, where they were born... o_O
MOO
WTH? My head is gonna explode. They are dragging their kids into this, the guy who snuffed out his daghter's,and unborn son's lives,as well as his beautiful sweet wife.
I hope the prison burns those letters, and they don't get to him.

NK is not the first woman to be involved with a married man that killed his wife and kids. I don’t recall any previous mistresses needing a new identity. Anyone?
Amber F had worldwide recognition but went on to live her life successfully.

I wonder if his parents will travel to CO to remove his personal property?

A problem with a new family moving in, IMO, is they’re going to get a lot of drive-by traffic, probably door knockers, gawkers, etc., and be a nuisance to the ‘hood. IMO, it needs to be gone for the sanity and safety of other homeowners.

It’s quite possible that he hasn’t.

Unless his lawyers showed them to him in order to convince him to accept the plea, then I don’t think he has seen them.

In order to get him to confess, LE played to his ego, telling him that he was a great father.

Showing him these photos would have the opposite effect.

You can’t appeal to the emotion of a man who clearly is devoid of empathy, anyways.

Indeed, well stated. I imagined a scenario in my head of his lawyers addressing the evidence photos and him cowering and saying “I don’t want to see it, don't show me that, I can’t look at that, I’m not going to look...” And his comforting attorneys said, “okay baby”, moo.

as it should. the neighbor's house that WAS on the MLS is not anymore.

The neighbor with the camera that captured CW hauling bodies to his truck? Idk his house was for sale.

Oh please let us all have a fire here and watch his stuff burn. All his favorite toys.

(Okay getting a little too rawled up here, going to step away for a few.)

—I appreciate you guys and this conversation. This is freaking unbelievable and I will never forget this. Ever.

Amber Frey didn't have vocal fry, and disdain for Lacy, she didn't wipe her phone clean, or care only about herself either.

I know. But similar situation, IMO.
When NK was complaining to LE that she’d never be able to work or whatever she droned on about, it was clear (to me) where this was going.
I say bleach her hair and cut it short. Move to the next county, change either your first or last name. Or go by middle name. Easy.

Yeah I can see that happening.

Yeah. She was, and still is, regarded as a hero in that whole situation.

There was never a doubt that the wool was completely pulled over her eyes, and she almost single handedly put Scott Peterson behind bars.

She came out and did the right thing, faced the media head on, recorded phone calls with him, and ultimately turned the tide at trial when the state’s case was floundering.

She was selfless.

She’s basically the opposite of NK.

By similar I mean an intimate relationship between a single woman/married man that resulted in the death of a pregnant wife. I’m not comparing NK to AF.
Nor do I wish to argue. I’m elated this discussion is again open.

Good night.

Yipee, this thread is open again

Re what will happen to the Watts house..

Travis Alexander was killed in his house (purchased in 2004 for $249,920) in June 4, 2008. On August 7, 2009, the house was sold for $206,000.

It sounds like some kind of ID holder lanyard thingy. Maybe it's so he can get into the prison library?

Navy Blue 38" Colored Neck Chains

JMO.

Hmmm. It just seems odd to me that it's beaded. That just seems kind of fancy for a prison lanyard? This case just has my brain all kinds of twisted.
MOO

Maybe it's a question for the prison expert guy?
