All the smiling just screamed out to me that he was lying. And there was no sorrow or concern in his eyes. His face was not that of a husband and father who was terrified about the fate of his family.
His voice didn't match his eyes or mouth. You shouldn't sound like you want to cry but smile and have your eyes not even matching the smile or sadness.

Normal people don't murder their kids. Normal people try to avoid murder. I don't think there is any head on your body that will make you think the right answer is to kill your family.

Think of another head on a man’s body. That is what he was thinking with

I see the demeanor of someone unwillingly thrust into the national spotlight in a tragedy of epic proportions.

It is easy to rationalize how you think someone else should act with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, not so much when it is you who is involved as it is unfolds in the shock of the moment.
She deleted evidence intentionally.

Why? She hardly knew him.:rolleyes:
Indeed. Why would someone delete such evidence if she hardly knew him - but documents show that she did. Could be for a couple of reasons - certainly not for no reason IMO.

Penis's don't make you kill your family.

If you’re interested in something weird, check out 12minutes31seconds in this video, where there’s a distinct child’s laugh in the closet that freaks out the investigator and dog handler. Now I’m not saying it is paranormal, but I am saying it’s creepy! The investigator searched for a toy that could be the culprit, but couldn’t find anything. Status: unresolved..

What was it that both dogs alerted to in the basement???

Drove out to the Watt's family home today.
Very...eerie and sad to be there.
Said prayers and prayed that in some way this case will help other families escape alive from the clutches of narcissistic people.
One of the saddest things at the house is seeing a box of Huggies on the front porch addressed to SW.

I read that NK's phone pinged near CW's house on Monday morning. Has anyone figured that one out? Or does it go under "things NK forgot about"?

And also what was in the bin that got the officer’s attention when they first went down there? Medical supplies?

It’s a joke. Maybe you have never heard it. How men do atupid things because they are thinking with their little head.

I guess some get it and some don’t. Oh well.

The officer never said but quite a few photos taken of the clear container. Looked like medical supplies or the patches.

She deleted evidence intentionally.

Ehhhh....not really. It is a salacious claim though.

If she deleted them when she said (which they probably confirmed through the Cellbrite dump) it was not known a crime had been committed at that point meaning no reasonable person would consider them 'evidence' at that time.

But the part about unenrolling the girls was really dumb -- you wife has supposedly up and left you and your first concern is school enrollment? Unless they were in such dire financial straights that it was all that Chris could think about -- to try to stem the flow, by any means necessary (including murder, in his mind).

I wonder if it’s because he didn’t want to continue paying their weekly tuition while they were “missing.” I assume the daycare/preschool is like most. You pay in advance even if you don’t go. I assume Shanann withdrew the girls during summer in NC and she saved money. If CW didn’t contact the school, he’d be paying for them while they were “missing” and would have to cough up the money (for a short period of time) until he finally said oh dear I guess they’re not coming back.

ETA: He was too stupid to realize what a big mistake that call was and just added to the evidence of bad steps he made that morning.

Did you walk up to the door? Wonder why UPS didn’t return to sender. I assume every out there knows the house is vacant.

I’ve started listening to the “Ear Hustle” podcast. It’s created by a lifer at San Quentin prison and he works with a female volunteer at the prison to get it aired. It’s pretty fascinating and I’ve thought a lot about CW while listening to it. He interviews other prisoners and they tell their stories. They talk about first coming into the prison life and how they are taught the “rules” etc.

Basically it doesn’t sound that bad (well for being a prisoner) IF, and it’s a big IF, he can figure out how to get along with other prisoners.

Yes, walked up to the door. That's how I saw the Huggies box. Looked in the window by the front door, too.

Why do you suppose she initially lied (and possibly continued lying, for all we know) about the number of times she visited at SW house, and how many times do you think she really went? Where do you think she left her car on the July 4th visit? I think it's creepy that she even went upstairs to SW and the kids sleeping area.
