We have the interview with her "best friend" (whom NK was quick to speak condescendingly about). I feel like NK's resentment of the children jumps off the page, but that's just me.

Maybe im looking to far into it but i find it interested in the timing she told Charlotte of Chris. In the interviews i remember she said that she didn't want them to know yet. if i recall that right.

Petition Calls for Chris Watts' Family Photos to Be Removed From Cell — and Prison Responds

Prison officials have responded to an online petition urging authorities to forbid family murderer Chris Watts from displaying photos in his cell of his pregnant wife and two daughters, whom he murdered in 2018.

In a statement to PEOPLE, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections said it “has no legal basis for removing the photographs from Christopher Watts,” who was transferred to a Wisconsin prison from one in Colorado in late 2018 because of security concerns.

The statement says, “Incarcerated inmates are permitted to possess certain identified items of property, including photographs. Some photographs are not allowed, such as those depicting gang signs, colors, or insignias or photographs that include nudity.”
I see. Well then. I suggest whatever legislative body/committee came up with that list sit their butts back down and amend it to include “photographs of inmate’s victims and other trophies of their crime”.

I wish the reporter would have asked if they'd allow a pedophile a photo of their victim.

Or a bunch of pictures of fully clothed cute little kids in general. It’s just wrong.

Scott Reisch sure got that one wrong. Photos of tiny victims, a shrine if you will. So they let him keep the kids' book he said he reads to them every night? What's the name of it "Daddy is my Hero"? Super grotesque.

I think, as others have mentioned, that the inmates are not usually as "nice" as CW, and that is influencing the decision. Nice like he was to everyone until the "moment" in his life when he murdered tiny kids and their Mom, and desecrated their bodies. Just a moment, of course, by which it would be unfair to judge his whole life, per Watts. After all, spending his whole life in prison just for murdering his family? He thought that was not in the cards. Maybe just a few years like the politicos get for tax evasion.

I understand that Sandy, Frank and Frankie are not publicly commenting on this travesty, think of the hurt they must feel knowing this detestable creep is staring at their daughter and grandaughters every night, feeding them snippets of the bible, big switcheroo from just the song lyrics which passed for expressing his feelings before.

(Mention once more I respect people who authentically do follow precepts in the bible, no offense meant in any way)

CW really is an empty shell of a human being. He had his whole life to embrace Christianity. All of a sudden, because his mother reads him a verse about God always loving him during victim impact statements, he decides to go full-on born-again.

It's like him going along with the detectives asking if SW killed the girls. He takes a kernel of an idea and runs with it. He is that simple-minded and mentally and emotionally vacant. It doesn't go past me that his moms tearful plea instigated this new persona.

Let's see.
For SW: the savior
For coworkers: Mr. Nice Guy
For NK: fitness junkie/Lothario
In jail: devout Christian

He doesn't have a real personality. He just adopts the one he needs depending on the situation.

I kind of want to see what others think about this.

The security in the house detects movement in the basement and living room and door alerts on the basement door, front door and garage door and back sliding doors right? I saw that those types of Security panel that is situated in the house for arming and disarming the house could have a webcam build in. Does anyone know what type they had?

And if Shannan was really distraught about the diner bill that saturday night she could look back on the front door camera if Chris took somebody home.

I recall their security did not have built in webcam -- only door alerts used mainly for the children. Camera was limited to front door bell camera. As for Saturday night, I don't think SW believed CW would bring anybody home with his girls at home waiting for him. MOO

I rewatched the actual footage of the investigators going thru the house with the 2 dogs
The first dog taken thru barked at the front porch outside. some in the living room downstairs but nothing on the steps going upstairs
It barked in the bedrooms and in the loft where her phone was found in the couch. Barked a lot in the basement near the bed. So much so the handler called her partner to bring the other dog to the basement.
The investigator walked the 2nd dog all over the basement and he didn't make one peep. There was no explanations of either dogs behavior
I don't know what day this occurred or if they went thru CW work truck later. I guess by then he confessed so they didn't need input from the dogs. The first dog handler commented to LE "the house is so immaculately clean it doesn't seem normal does it?" Another investigator commented there wasn't even any dust in the basement
There were hundreds of hairs found in the work truck but we never heard any more about it

He is probably the most, or one of the most dangerous psychopaths they have in that prison, IMO. It sounds to me like he was very quickly able to manipulate one or more people in the prison administration and he was allowed to have pictures of his victims in his cell.

Unbelievable that they would have fallen for his routine. JMO. CW is unable to even fake empathy for his victims.

I don’t think he manipulated anyone. Most prisons allow for inmates to keep photos in their cell, so long as they don’t violate certain rules (nudity, violence, etc.).

Scott Reisch said there was no way anyone would be allowed to have photos of their victims in Colorado prisons, and he extended that to Wisconsin, but sadly, he was way wrong. I posted the link a couple of days ago to his latest podcast.

Thanks for posting that Pommy. However I hope no one gets on me if I point out that maybe gang photos or insignias are not quite so bad as displaying the victims of the brutal murder he himself did, before he then desecrated the bodies. Note he wants nothing to do with grisly photos of what his own actions produced.

And keeping those photos diminishes the importance of murder, placing it somewhere below gang signs. Did he say he had one of their books? And read to them each night? I am remembering that but am not sure if he said that in the latest confession or if it came from his family members earlier on.

I just read the prison's response to the petition, and just learned the prison does not have the ability to prevent him from keeping the pictures of his family member victims in his cell.

You're welcome. I certainly agree that he doesn't deserve to have photos of his victim's in his cell. Not a dang thing we can do about it, but I applaud the efforts of those who tried. MOO

I completely agree. In his prison interview he went through the brutal details of how he murdered each of his victims and how he disposed of their bodies. He later talks about about having their pictures in his cell. He said he reads scripture to them and he reads them a book (not sure if it is the same book) that he used to read to CeCe.

With respect to his reported reading sessions with his victims, poor, poor CW. He's sorry he got caught and he tried very hard to avoid that, and now he's sorry that he has to pay the consequences for his hideous actions. He's sorry for NK, too. That's it, JMO.

It was very smart of Anadarko in firing Chris Watts right away and NK. I would've loved to see the rumors. I can't take those FB pages of the hate of SW. Colorado, you are in my thoughts....I can't imagine what I would do if this was one of my friends/family.....what a tragedy.... You standing tall and brave for Shanann is admirable.
There was plenty of anonymous stuff said by self-described “co-workers” about NK on websites/FB pages that we can’t comment on here. I take anything anonymous w/a grain of salt but probably some truth mixed in there.

I understand why we didn’t have co-workers commenting on NK or CW publically. Many people probably didn’t want to be associated with the mess in any way, and I’m sure it was known that Anadarko wouldn’t be pleased to have employees speaking out. It wasn’t that long ago that a house exploded in nearby Firestone due to abandoned Anadarko pipelines. That company had more than their share of bad publicity. Employees were no doubt tired of being asked about Anadarko by friends/acquantances looking for dirt — even before the CW horror.
