CO - Shannan Watts & Daughters Bella & CeCe Murdered By Chris Watts - *LWOP* #74

There seems to be a lot of bickering going on in this thread and I'm not quite sure what has created this flurry of activity with no new news to report. I lived very close to where this happened and have been here since day 1 -- And what it comes down to is that NO MATTER WHAT Shanann posted or why she posted it or what actions she may have taken or what money she may have spent, NOTHING justifies or explains why CW did what he did to her and to those girls. Period.

We will never understand it, he will never be honest about it. And to suggest that anything she was putting on FB or the way she was living her life was what "set him off" is absolutely disgusting. He murdered his wife, his unborn child and his 2 beautiful girls in cold blood. All of this back and forth really should stop.

So there was a recent flurry of some of the Watts case followers on different platforms about a recent citing of NK at a funeral in Wyoming I believe. It looks like her and her current state could be someone who had recently had a baby as the various contributors have said.

Going back and listening to the interviews with NK, I find myself highly annoyed at the one interview with NK where her father was stonewalling the police officer when NK was being questioned. She also was given a very wide berth IMO about her own wiping of her texts and other cell phone exchanges with CW, telling the police she just wanted to be done with him after they had their 90-minute phone call. I also find myself highly annoyed with the cell phone ping from NK's phone on the morning of the m$rd$rs was glossed over by the prosector and his further angry responses she had been cleared, etc.

I really do not think NK was part of the actual plan or activities to dispose of everyone; she's just kind of an odd duck. You could tell in her interviews she was rather entitled, but that also could be her age and where she was in her life stage, as she had no responsibilities other than herself and her immediately getting her dad involved when she was interviewing with the police. However, the cell phone ping still raises doubt.

Her attitude in the LE interviews annoyed many, myself included.

However there is no proof available that she was at a funeral or that she had recently or ever given birth, despite "many contributors" having said so.

BTW, her father was allowed to attend an interview with her, as was Watts' father allowed to literally hold his 33 yr old son's hand in one of his interviews. In fact, Watts would not disclose the location of where he disposed of his little girls' bodies before he was allowed to be physically coddled by his father.

RW did not say anything to investigators unlike NK's Dad. Big difference.

Yes he did. Go watch the interview. Rw tried to distract fbi/cbi with doll photo, insinuating that SW did something to the kids. He also reprimanded them when they were pushing CW to tell them where the babies were. Rw directed the show while he was there. All the time hugging the murderer, rubbing his back, soothing the person who was 1/4 of a century old plus 8 years.

Ok. I disagree that RW "ran the show" - if anything he should have told CW to STFU and not waited to inquire of the police about getting CW an attorney after CW's confession that he had just sat through.

Agent Tammy Lee gave CW a little shoulder or arm rub--can't remember it's been a while since I have watched the interview--and as they were bringing RW into the room Agent Coder gave Chris a shoulder squeeze, like "stay strong, man." Different techniques and reasons but everyone involved in the Day 2 interrogation had a piece of CW in some way that day.

Well I disagree, but won't continue with this except to point out that CW was stonewalling LE for 3 days, as to where his family was. Even after he told RW that his wife did it, and after RW left, CW for nearly an hour - go time it - would not confess as to where he had shoved the babies to try to dissolve their little bodies. Fbi/cbi had to offer to go out to help find the bodies, but CW freaked out and started crying at the idea of his coworkers being there. The most disturbed he had been during the interviews. I wonder how much Bella cried when he made her watch him kill her little sister.

Fbi/cbi briefly touched him in a soothing way, part of the effort to find murdered babies.

Who wouldn't stonewall if they were the culprit and were trying to get away with a heinous crime? He was terrible at it and screamed "guilty" with the dumpster fire of the front porch interview and later the body cam footage of the first officer on site with NA calling 911 and the whole matter started to unfold.

Didn't CW tell RW he had put the girls in the oil tanks; yes, he was sticking to the SW strangled the girls story. Like I said it's been a while since I have watched the Day 2 interrogation video. I've got no beef with your perception, and I am just as horrified at what he did to his family.

I don't think the touches from Agents Lee and Coder, especially Agent Lee was to soothe-she wanted him to squirm and be super uncomfortable with what he had done, deploying a certain interrogation technique.
