Wow! This is the performance of a SuperLawyer? Trying her case in the press, while criticizing the DA for public remarks? Blaming the media for giving BM a platform to tell his story, and for reporting on the proceedings? 100% cheap shots that will have no impact on public perception of her client as a an abusive, faithless, femicidal husband.

IE did neither herself nor her client any favors. Nota bene that we heard not one word - not even a scripted word - from her client. I predict that we won't. He'll be on the next plane out of state, to an undisclosed location where he can remain incommunicado for the rest of his life.

I don't know. If it were me prosecuting the case I'd be out there myself if I had to with a shovel getting to the bottom of this.

Joined by the rest of us.

ETA: DH just walked past me with our shovel, en route to one of his projects.

@MarcSallinger

to dismiss, prosecutors write “law-enforcement believe we are close to discovering the victim’s body”. Searches are focusing on a “remote and mountainous region near the Morphew residence”. They say area where they “believe Ms. Morphew is located” is under 5ft of snow

If this is correct, creep BM is very worried.:D:D:D

It's so weird to me to see "this is Garfield mine, we think it's where Suzanne is". It's so specific. What if she's not there? What if she is? What is stopping anyone from going there? Sure, there is a lot of snow obviously but will that stop everyone?
I'm livid, they simply took something said in court months ago, and identified it as the location. This is the Daily Mail making this claim as fact, when it doesn't appear to be so.

They say this: "The remote Garfield Mine where police believe the remains of Suzanne Morphew could be hidden."

Then say this:

"The spot could be close to the remote Garfield Mine which was mentioned in prosecution arguments during a pre-trial hearing in September 2021."

$500,000 down on a new house would not be his best move right now. Could this loving family be breaking up? You know, a trip for three to Cancun with only two returning?

MOO
Costa Rica. No extradition treaty. Lots of cute girls from Puerto Viejo. Nobody knows your tired old schtick. Do Bobcats fly free?

IMO he won't move away.

He's married to those mountains.

He will, however, (and also IMO) have an escape plan.

Whiff of the next arrest, he'll pull a white Ford Bronco.

Barry Morphew murder case: DA drops all charges

Snipped and bolded by me

Barry Morphew’s defense attorney, Iris Eytan, argued in court Tuesday that the case should be dismissed with prejudice so that it could not be refiled. She said Stanley was acting in bad faith and dismissing the case to avoid the steep sanctions over the discovery violations. She accused the prosecution of “judge shopping.”

“They’re going to try this case again, they’re going to evade the court’s ruling,” Eytan argued in court.

Lama rejected that argument, saying he did not find bad faith and that it was reasonable for the prosecution to reassess their case after he limited their expert witnesses.

There is no murder case

Fair enough. Unfortunately, using his method did not bring enough evidence for a murder trial or conviction, even with 30 hours of questioning . Those interviews were the best opportunity to bring justice in this case. Sometimes when someone is pressed, they confess
I believe Barry was close to confessing when he asked for immunity. I also believe he was going to lie again and say it was an accident and Suzanne got in the way of him shooting a nefarious gang of chipmunks. Although if it was an accident where are Suzanne’s remains. IMO

I’m skeptical that prosecution thinks they have found human remains. I think they are bluffing. However, let them get their act together and refile the case.

In the meantime, I predict a few vacations to Mexico or elsewhere will be upcoming.

#Breaking Judge Ramsey Lama grants the prosecution’s motion to dismiss the case against #BarryMorphew without prejudice

We will be speaking with the defense soon @KKTV11News

YIPPEE.:):):)
Does this mean, BM's money spent to this day, CANNOT be recouped?:p
So, for next trial, (when, if) he won't have stacks of dough.:)
Public defender coming up.... OR will these current bulldogs take him on again, or run.

But there's still that illegal weapons charge (and the voter fraud case). I am optimistic that he's not heading out hunting with guns this morning.
This is a valid point. Barry may never be reunited with his guns. Listen…

Barry retains all of the rights previously granted by the court in previous filings.

Bummer.

What does this mean?

The Prosecution said that “ for some time a single location has been the target of on going investigation. “
I believe they must have very credible leads to make them want to search there.
They need to rule it out and keep searching if nothing is found there.

I agree. I think she came off very poorly.
Totally agree. She demonstrated a very loose relationship with the truth. She said things that can easily be proven false. The whole time she spoke she exhibited very argumentative and scolding behavior. Berating others is never a good road to go down in public. I can now understand why she wanted the court closed off from the public eye as much as possible. ALL IMO

Off topic but I just watched a clip of a reporter talking to a young woman outside the courthouse in the J. Depp trial.
She had 2 very cute LIVE LLAMAS on a leash and said she brought them in hopes that JD might see them and they cheer him up. Lol
Made me think of our Zookeeper @Kemug !
