The weather is keeping them from being able to follow the lead and they don't think they'll get it done before the trial starts.
That part kind of sounds like a Hail Mary but given the circumstances today might be for the best.

I am walking the eff away for a bit.
Maybe this is good news. Maybe they have found remains and need additional time to identify. I know I’m likely dreaming but one can hope. Barry gets excited to think he is off the hook only to be arrested again with Suzanne’s remains as proof. Fingers crossed.

to dismiss, prosecutors write “law-enforcement believe we are close to discovering the victim’s body”. Searches are focusing on a “remote and mountainous region near the Morphew residence”. They say area where they “believe Ms. Morphew is located” is under 5ft of snow

That is not what the prosecution states. They say that they *think* they know where the body is, but adverse weather conditions mean that they cannot recover said remains. We shall see.

If they don’t find Suzanne, the party’s over. Would they ever attempt to Re-file?

To be honest, I'm thrilled by this. Provided of course that the case is dismissed without prejudice, they can fix all the <modsnip> mistakes they've made and nail the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

I'm not sure law enforcement is truly close to finding the body, but I respect the move.

I mean misleading the court is just par for the course these days right?

This sounds very specific.

Wonder if they have Digital intel?

Misleading the public would be an extremely prejudicial move. So if this is more tactical than true, sanctions should roll down on Stanley, et al.

Can BM sue for and win attorneys’ fees if case is dismissed?

If the prosecution pleading is accurate, this might go some way to explaining the bizarre conduct of the state in the last couple of months.

Maybe they never expected to run the trial on a no-body basis?

I was semi-joking, riffing on discussions in recent days
