There was the one mention of the bare footprint and then no follow up on that!
Yes, I really wanted to read more about the footprints.

The fact that he had his daughters come to pick him up, was so inappropriate, IMO. Their mother still “missing” (dead) and the family shouldn’t be exploited for his benefit by parading them in front of the cameras in an effort to show unity and support for their Dad. It is disgusting and I cannot imagine how torn and confused the girls must feel. He is wrong, wrong, wrong! So selfish of him to use them at their expense.
I did not see any of them looking confused and torn.

I am
There was one moment in the video where the girl on the left looked EXACTLY like Suzanne, that creeped me out. Are they really that brainwashed/in denial that their dad is innocent? I feel for them as well, i really wonder if the smiles are genuine or they are doing it because that don't want to disappoint barry. Who's idea was it to walk out like that too?

I am certain that BM has been manipulating them into believing how LE has been setting him up and creating false stories to frame him. He has had a year to work on it. Both daughters come across as extremely nice young ladies. I genuinely wish them the best.

I don’t think Barry will run. I imagine he believes that he will never be convicted. Do you think he paid the 500k so he gets it all back, or did he get a bail bondsman?

The “perfect family” photos of them during their last vacation “looked” like they were happy and deeply in love too.

Not saying I disagree nyvictoria. That is why I said "documented" history, thinking LE. I'm thinking a jury is going to expect something in that regard when you're talking DV. I do get the difference, I've been here long enough to know.
I hope you don’t feel that I was being dismissive, as that wasn’t my intention. It’s possible that some jury members might need proof and without police reports or photos, some may find it hard to take seriously. I’d like to think that’s not the case, as there’s so much more awareness of DV these days, but sometimes old beliefs are hard to overcome. Let’s hope the State has a couple of good DV experts lined up to refute whatever nonsense the defense puts in. I wouldn’t put it past Barry to say that he was the abused one in the marriage. Jodi Arias was the abuser in her relationship with Travis but her claims that she was abused saved her from the death penalty, twice.

Kind of looks like defense attorney coaching, also. The optics of females touching him and treating him protectively. Enabling behavior - gives me cold chills. MOO

Just goes to show what a wonderful mother Suzanne was.
She wanted a happy family life for her daughters and put up a good front for their sake. While she knew exactly what their father was like, she probably never spoke poorly about him. Now she’s gone and good or bad, he’s all they’ve got.

Prediction - Barry is scheming how he’s going to get out of spending a long time in jail. He’s a hunter and now he gets to make a plan, and he kind of enjoys the challenge. He’s got a couple options. 1) Make a run for it. 2) Make a stand and go out in a blaze of glory 3) Take his chances in front of a jury

All options are on the table.
I’ll bet on option 3) except that Barry the brainiac doesn’t believe he’s taking any “chances.” That man is so utterly arrogant he is convinced that he will be found not guilty. I’d love to hear what IE and DN have filled his head with. Better yet, I’d LOVE to hear what they say about him when he’s not around! :p

BM thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room because they haven’t found Suzanne and they likely won’t. :( It’s the only thing he got right and he’s the “no body, no crime” kinda guy, ala Frazee, another narcissist sans two firing brain cells. Unfortunately for him, all the money he can throw at his attorneys won’t change the fact that he’s an idiot and he has incriminated himself over and over again with all his Barsplainin’.

My mother taught me as a child that “lies have short legs.” Too bad his mother didn’t warn him!

Even if he’s not convicted, I believe his daughters will forever wonder if he really did kill their mother. In time, things have a way of revealing themselves.

I wish them all the best as well.

They simply believe what their father is telling them and it's not a punishable crime to believe whatever he is telling them.

It's just a sad story all around, there is so much collateral damage to so many people with Suzanne being at the top of that list of people :(

IMO

It's the kids I feel sorry for. Everyone else had a choice.

Cognitive Dissonance is the discomfort that results from holding 2 opposing beliefs. Those experiencing it will tell themselves almost anything to rationalize and explain away the opposing thought or belief.

In this case, is it easier to believe that your dad of 18+ years is who he says he is, and loves you the way he’s told you he does for 18 years- and almost everyone else is lying and framing him?

Or is it easier to believe that your entire life has basically been a lie? That your dad could care so little about you and your mom that he could take her away from you? That he’s capable of murdering a human being in cold blood…And that you don’t have a single parent left who cares about you?

I think it will take a ton of time - years, probably- to break through the cognitive dissonance and see the truth about their dad, if they ever do.

I don’t judge them for feeling happy that he’s free. I think they truly believe he’s innocent and they want their one living parent back. All the logic in the world may not be enough to come to terms with the fact that their entire world has literally been a lie.

The thing I think people need to remember is that for the girls there is no leeway here about bM's guilt or innocence. He's either completely innocent or completely guilty. Either way, he's still their father. They are going to have to overcome every natural instinct that has been programed into them since they were born to not love him even if he's found guilty.

There's no grey area here. There can't be any reasonable doubt for them, there needs to be no doubt what-so-ever. Every single piece of evidence needs to convince them 10000% that he is guilty and that is an enormous hill to climb for them. This isn't something that they can do overnight. It can take decades. It can take a lifetime. Only they can decide.

Did the AA contain info about SM's new-ish accounts at an online bank (Green Dot?) and at a funds management co. (Compass something?)? The so-called secret a/c's?
I recall a mention of these at PH but if they were referenced in AA, I skimmed right past. Anyone? TiA.

The terms of his release were Cash Only. Seems bail release is not a public record so the best I could access was BM's vine report confirming his release but not who posted the security or the actual conditions of his release.
