Kind of looks like defense attorney coaching, also. The optics of females touching him and treating him protectively. Enabling behavior - gives me cold chills. MOO
That was also the vibe I got. It was truly creepy to watch.

Cognitive Dissonance is the discomfort that results from holding 2 opposing beliefs. Those experiencing it will tell themselves almost anything to rationalize and explain away the opposing thought or belief.

In this case, is it easier to believe that your dad of 18+ years is who he says he is, and loves you the way he’s told you he does for 18 years- and almost everyone else is lying and framing him?

Or is it easier to believe that your entire life has basically been a lie? That your dad could care so little about you and your mom that he could take her away from you? That he’s capable of murdering a human being in cold blood…And that you don’t have a single parent left who cares about you?

I think it will take a ton of time - years, probably- to break through the cognitive dissonance and see the truth about their dad, if they ever do.

I don’t judge them for feeling happy that he’s free. I think they truly believe he’s innocent and they want their one living parent back. All the logic in the world may not be enough to come to terms with the fact that their entire world has literally been a lie.
Bravo.:)

Just thinking. Most of us here, regardless whether we’re of the opinion that the prosecution has enough to get a jury to convict or whether the circumstantial evidence is weak, we can agree that what evidence exists tells us Barry murdered Suzanne. What must it be like for friends and family of friends of the girls knowing what we know, what kind of man BM really is? Repulsive on SO many levels. Even if the girls believe 100% their dad is innocent (likely have not and will not read the AA), no doubt their friends and their families are following this very closely and have come to the same conclusion we have after reading the AA or listening to the local news. That’s one huge ELEPHANT in the room. Awkward.

@Kemug , we have an elephant for our BM zoo? :)

without DNA or any physical evidence it could go either way.
it's not going to go either way, there's too many coincidences and lies for him to get off. The odds be like a billion to one. What are the odds he just happened to come home right at the same time as all social media, phone calls, proof of life etc from Suzanne ended right when he got home? Like maybe 1 in 10,000? What are the odds he just happened to go in the opposite direction (right by where Suzannes helmet was found) from his destination Broomfield and had to make a U turn to go back the other way? About 1 in 1000 maybe? What are the odds she just happened to go missing right when she was going to leave Barry? Like 1 in 1000? What's the probability of all those events happening together? Well you use multiply the probabilities P = 1/10000*1/1000*1/1000 = 1/10,000,000,000 or 1 in 10 billion,

then you add in other odd things like, what are the odds that your phone accidentally switches into airplane mode for 7 hours, and that during that time, you “tinker” around with your truck’s computer system?

What are the odds that your car doors open and close an hour before you say you even wake up? And that your phone pings on the road away from home, in the direction of Poncha Market? And that your wife’s cellphone’s last activity pings off a tower in that very same direction about 30 minutes before you say you even woke up?

What are the odds that you decided to make a last minute change of plans to your Broomfield trip that just so happens to coincide with the day of your wife’s disappearance?

It's insane all these things could be considered circumstantial evidence, all of it together is just so improbable it just can't happen. You're looking at like trillions to one odds, it can't happen, all the evidence points to Barry.

The odds are truly astronomical. Everything points to Barry, and if you try to point to the involvement of someone else, it becomes straight up laughable.

The unanswered questions are numerous, but they don't involve "if" he did it.

The three of them look so happy as Barry is leaving jail. Its really disconcerting. Disturbing to me.
I was thinking about this today. Them girls aren’t going to throw dad under the bus. I’m sure they know he’s guilty but it’s their dad. Just like if I had one child kill another, I would still love them both. I would hate the action of the one and I’m sure I would have a hard time accepting it. I wouldn’t lie for the child but I would still be there for them.

I've been thinking about this too. The pointlessly redacted AA shows us that Suzanne was honest with SO in her portrayal of MM2. She was in the home and saw the fighting and was honest with the police about it. I can't imagine the fresh hell that is that kids mind right now. I'm worried for her. He's a manipulative narcissist and she told her mother to leave him and get a restraining order.

Oh yeah ditto on that one. Plus I believe Barry and MM1 are much closer, didn’t they hunt together? Barry’s first love himself and hunting.

I think we can expect more staged scenes like this between now and the trial showing that Barry is just a sweet, smiling father with the women in his life adoring him.

I’ll bet on option 3) except that Barry the brainiac doesn’t believe he’s taking any “chances.” That man is so utterly arrogant he is convinced that he will be found not guilty. I’d love to hear what IE and DN have filled his head with. Better yet, I’d LOVE to hear what they say about him when he’s not around! :p

BM thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room because they haven’t found Suzanne and they likely won’t. :( It’s the only thing he got right and he’s the “no body, no crime” kinda guy, ala Frazee, another narcissist sans two firing brain cells. Unfortunately for him, all the money he can throw at his attorneys won’t change the fact that he’s an idiot and he has incriminated himself over and over again with all his Barsplainin’.

My mother taught me as a child that “lies have short legs.” Too bad his mother didn’t warn him!

When I read Barry's words and see what trouble he has using his verbs correctly, I really question his smarts. I just want to scream and say, "You saw it...not you seen it"!

Is his Girlfriend still in the picture ? The one that thinks she looks like Suzanne (Laughing)?

Bingo, the question is really more what count does Barry get not if he will be found guilty.

Somebody is going to transcribe the AA at some point so we can search it. (Not it!) I tried a quick and dirty conversion but it's an image based pdf.

I agree IMO the man is a total intellectual simpleton - albeit a cunning manipulative street smart one.

He is so Neanderthal in his views on gender that he should be prosecuted on those alone

Regardless tho and most importantly after reading the AA , what are the odds that she died in any other way but at the hands of this guy?
Given that all her communications stopped/were suspended in mid air when BM got home that Saturday -
By BM’s own admission , they were the only two at the house until he left the next day -
Just a few minutes after he arrived home she was never heard from again. Never heard from again. Let that sink in.

I don’t have any worries with the evidence.

But as many of us have said, over and over again on these threads, the prosecution needs to up their game and even the playing field when it comes to the presentation of their evidence.

Meet fire with fire

I love this post so much. You've placed some great one- liners in it.

This one made me audibly gasp.

"He is so Neanderthal in his views on gender that he should be prosecuted on those alone."

Excellent advice:

"Meet fire with fire."

I remain without understanding for valid reasons why Suzanne didn't leave him while still residing in Indiana. I still feel it was here that he began formulating ideas about her demise.

BM wanted proceeds from the IN house and her inheritance that we've learned was $600k when combining her mom's w her Gmother's.

Due to the length of their marriage, att, Suzanne would have received half of the proceeds from the IN home plus be able to keep her inheritance. That's about a million bucks.

Hence, I wonder if Barry created so much drama w his business dealings in IN coupled with other chaos and confusion in their personal life that it prevented Suzanne from clarity of thought in order for her to form decisions that wld be in her best interest.

Their fateful move to Colorado created the perfect storm by allowing him to easily weasel everything valuable to her within two years.

I found a searchable version of the AA. Let me know if it works for you.

Not saying I disagree nyvictoria. That is why I said "documented" history, thinking LE. I'm thinking a jury is going to expect something in that regard when you're talking DV. I do get the difference, I've been here long enough to know.

I think the jury is going to need some "schooling" regarding DV. MOO

You know what I would like to see? Strong evidence refuting BM's character assassination to Suzanne by making her use of antidepressants and pain medicine appear as drug addiction. I'll bet not witnesses can be found to attest to her drinking to excess, either. To me, this is another DV act by him. How many times did he withhold/hide or force her to stop taking her meds? Did her best friend ever see or hear her drunk? His characterization of her during their last days together is so telling.....about him!
MOO

I also would like to add that Barry said that he was working all his life, and Suzanne was doing nothing, with her days, just staying home with the kids.

As the person who worked all my life, often two jobs, I want to say that I understand, better that anyone else, that being a mother to two children is a full-time job, 24/7. We all know it. And the fact that Barry never acknowledged Suzanne’s role as the wife and the mother, and addressed her as “lover for 32 years” is quite telling. Barry despises women. All women.

Suzanne beat cancer, twice, beat the odds, twice, and bore two daughters. I believe her when she is quoted to say that Barry helped her very little with the kids. I don’t believe Barry when he says that Suzanne was doing nothing. She was busy. And she was also taking care of her unstable, egotistical, scary, sadistic husband. I feel very sorry for her because she spent 32 years of her life on him, and with him.

Did the AA contain info about SM's new-ish accounts at an online bank (Green Dot?) and at a funds management co. (Compass something?)? The so-called secret a/c's?
I recall a mention of these at PH but if they were referenced in AA, I skimmed right past. Anyone? TiA.
I was looking for the same and didnt find anything on first look through. My next read will be more thorough!

ETS - the searchable PDF didn't bring anything up at all about these accounts. I imagine that their inclusion would not fit the narrative of the AA though. Thoughts?
