Who is right in this argument? Did you side with the Cowboy or DeNiro's character?

If you're siding with Barry maybe you side with the Cowboy, I mean he is right people win at Casino's and slots all the time. It's possible some of these things with Barry were just him being really unlucky, especially if you consider each one seperate.

If you're siding that Barry's guilty maybe you take DeNiro's side, the odds are just too astronomical for 4 slots to pay off 1.5 million to one jackpots in 15 minutes. Barry's case I think it's got to be well exceeding 100 trillion to one odds all this was just a coincidence.

Your statement sounds like your rationalizing dv saying he only chased her around the resort because he caught her on the phone no matter the reason it’s DV it’s not okay. I also disagree that she had no job she was a stay at home mother she had the hardest job in the world. I think we just have different perspectives which is okay.
Yes, it's ok. Life is funny, I was very careful in my wording to say ..no job outside the home, meaning no outside business related travel, I recognize that motherhood is hard work. I'm not rationalizing anything or saying it's ok, same point all along, what is a jury going to hear? They don't know the person we think we do at all. They will be hearing soundbites.

Barry has been gaslighting his family since, well, always imo
I think he enjoyed the anguish it would have caused Suzanne when she thought he was having an affair, would guess he deliberately led her to believe that he was having an affair cos in his mind she would 'try ' harder to keep her husband, for example more sex , he said it himself in interviews 'all we men want is sex' or something along those lines - Not too sure if I've worded that the most appropriate way and don't intend to cause offence :(

The terms of his release were Cash Only. Seems bail release is not a public record so the best I could access was BM's vine report confirming his release but not who posted the security or the actual conditions of his release.
More on my follow-up on BM bail conditions: Confirmed with Chaffee County
Probation (K. Post) that Inovation, Inc. is the contractor for electronic monitoring services.

Per SR/Crime Talk, Judge Amended Order citing he was previously misinformed about the services and BM will be wearing GPS ankle monitor.

In addition to meeting his lawyers, BM also allowed to leave the county for maintenance of his location tracking device. MOO

That was my point earlier...each person is going to frame what constitutes DV differently. Most people would agree that physical violence is DV but I don't think every person is going to think everything is DV and the jury isn't going to determine it anyway I think. Suzanne was spying on Barry and Barry was spying on Suzanne...that is documented so which of the two was committing DV at that point? I could on, but I'm just saying that not everyone is going to agree one hundred percent on this in my opinion. But it is interesting to read opinions here. Here's a good primer from Colorado and of importance is to note is that it very carefully and several times points out that not all constitutes "criminal abuse". And that "added" enhancer in this case is determined at the end of trial as part of sentencing in this case and determined by the judge I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong. From the link: Domestic Violence & Domestic Abuse | Legal Information Network of Colorado

Colorado’s Domestic Violence laws cover violence, attempted violence, threats of violence, stalking, harassment, revenge, or coercion. Coercion means forcing, threatening, or intimidating someone into doing something they do not want to do. Coercion also means stopping someone from doing something they have a right to do.

Domestic Violence may be added to the charge for another crime. It is not a charge by itself. For example, if a man hits someone, he might be charged with misdemeanor assault. If he hits his wife, he might be charged with a misdemeanor assault as an act of Domestic Violence. Almost always, the prosecutor must charge as an act of Domestic Violence if the violence includes intimate partners.
BBM As much blabbing as Barry did to investigators in his interviews, his ever changing alteration of facts, his accusations that a few of his workers were drug users, his mental games he played with his wife such as threatening suicide, I have zero doubt that if his wife was the abuser, the whole world would have heard it by now. LE follow-up? SM's 'secret' a/c's?
Not in AA - but this from MSM
Prosecutors Outline Barry And Suzanne Morphew's Movements On Days Around Her Disappearance
In September of 2019, Suzanne’s best friend, Shelia Oliver advised Suzanne that she should begin tucking away money to be able to live on her own. At some point, Suzanne set up a secret Green Dot bank account as well as an account with a fund management company, Compass Management. The FBI agent on the stand, Ken Harris, said he didn’t follow up on these accounts.
Questions -
1. Why no follow up? Surely follow up is needed for no proof of life?
2. How much money was in these accounts?
Other musings - IF BM gave SM $400 weekly 'walking around' money - thats quite a sizeable amount to put away into safe keeping?
@Nikynoo Thx for your post.
Iirc, the LEO said he did not follow- up, so leaves open the poss that other LEOs did check. But I do not recall any further Q's & A's on findings.

$400/wk to 'put away' ain't chicken scratch. But Captain Obvious reminded me--- whether that is a sizable amt depends on how long the practice lasted---both sides, BM providing it and SM accumulating it.
Had SM already started a secret stash, e.g., the proverbial sugar bowl, before SO offered her advice?

Oh, yeah, one other thing, like you said:) --- whether it ever happened at all, even once. Because, you know, consider the source of info about $400/wk. Wasn't it BM? my2ct

Well 40o a week is relative, if Barry was a cash guy. Was that 400 to spend on groceries, gas, classes at the gym, haircuts, Macy expenses, everything? Were the household bills paid separately? If it truly was 400 in walk around money and the weekly bills were separate, Suzanne could have squirreled away a decent amount. Heck most of it was hers-except for the money he hoodwinked people out of through his businesses. I wonder if DSI liked his work. It’s sad that the one thing he did well was murder his wife.

I would like to hear more from the sellers of the Puma Path home. The AA mentions that the couple from whom the Morphews purchased the house believe that BM murdered SM based on behavior they witnessed both before and after the sale.

I'm sure none of this would be admissible at trial, but ... inquiring minds, you know.

Does anyone have a link to the PP home listing for when BM 1st put up the house after Suzanne's disappearance - the room I believe that's referred to as the 'bonus' room in AA had a couple sofas and TV that was wall mounted? but the revised listing had 2 beds in there, and it connects to what looks like the master bedroom on revised listing - this would be the room Suzanne references in her list of grievances with the ' knew I was looking at phone in bonus?' line

That's interesting! The behavior of BM before the purchase!
No wonder SM had an affair! She needed someone to treat her nice!

Think of this as a juror, we know a much longer history, they won't. First off they'll hear of her affair, guarantee that...SM thought he was spying on her ..who bought the spypen? Chased her around a resort on vacation, yes, when she was speaking to her lover on her cell phone, he obviously knew something was up....think of it as juror. As someone familiar with DV you use the word "threatened" her with money, range rovers...the average juror who doesn't know DV isn't going to see that questioning money as a threat IMO. How tied down was she? In a year and half ...6-8 trips just see her lover, no job out side the home and how many more trips in that year to see family and friends? How do they know it was just the last year and a half could been a life time of trips. You have the 20th anniversary picture out there as recently as 2014, Suzanne says she's looking for 20 more years with him...

…. sometimes DV brainwashed spouses just say and do things to just survive….

Barry probably gave her $400 ONCE.

And it was probably more like 4 40.

Which is $44.

Colorado Rules of evidence typically do not allow character evidence for the trial but character evidence is allowed for the penalty phase. It's possible whatever the seller's witnessed might be introduced at that time. MOO

With the hits on the Bobcat, and a brand new bucket/blade, how was it not involved????

Did Barry string up the tape himself? Nothing to see here....

I wonder about the timing of the mechanical thing he did, if he misremembered it as at 4 pm, not 2.

Or April.

Because that would be a significant mismemory.

Kind of suspicious if he tried to put a lot of distance between that mechanical thing and Suzanne's disappearance.

Need to know: was MG operating HIS Bobcat that morning?

Did Barry have time to dig a big hole on Saturday morning? At Tailwinds. Necessitating repair perhaps? And later all he would have to do is hand shovel it and plop in a tree.

If Barry used his Bobcat like I think he did, he must be feeling pretty okay with having gotten away.... with murder. Yes, charges still pending but somehow the Bobcat has been exonerated.
And I'm not ready to put it to bed. I hope LE isn't either.

By the way, if Barry hadn't showered 4 times like I think he did, dogs might've alerted ON HIM.

Please, LE, don't let up on Barry and don't give up on the Bobcat.

Leave no stone unturned. Especially any uninspired clusters of them.

Well I read the entire AA the other night and kind of skimmed some parts because it’s SO lengthy. Here I am at 2:00 a.m. poring over it slowly now, focusing on the interviews with BM and FBI Special Agents.
Whew. I have so much to say but want to make some notes and reference page numbers before I post my thoughts. Also get some sleep first, too lol.
But I just had to share this from Page 97.
They are asking BM about the list that SM had on her phone ( the 50 things they call “grievances “ against Barry) and what he thinks she means.
He claims that SM accused him of having cameras in the EYES of the deer heads in their house to spy on her ! Omg.
I have no idea if he would actually do such a thing ( wouldn’t put it past him at this point) or even if she actually said or thought that. But it makes me so sad to think about how isolated she was and that he could make her that paranoid if true.
Breaks my heart that she couldn’t get out in time.
I pray the Prosecution can show a Jury how this guy just wasn’t going to let her go.

Cameras in mounted deer eyes: my guess is that this is what BM told SM, if it came up between them at all. MOO

Let's be honest, we can help with that. No, we won't be anywhere near the trial, well maybe @NoSI , but the rest of us can keep this thread alive, poor Gabby has taught us that a round of insane headlines about murder sends thousands of extra eyeballs. Keep the record straight, don't give Barry an inch. If the defense comes out swinging, so can we.

Suzanne Morphew was a prisoner in her own life.

MG was with BM from 6am-ish until Barry called it a day. Barry picked her up and dropped her off at the Anytime Fitness in Poncha Springs, it's in the AA.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had attempted it. There is a receipt for a missing digital video camera.

Can someone dial us up another look at Barry leaving the courthouse(s)?

Is he wearing MAKE UP?!!!!!

IMO, his face is remarkably smooth and one color.

Not at all like previous photos we've seen of him.
