Wow, I must have missed that the Ritters had a no contact order against him.
Is there a link for that somewhere?

Maybe it wasn't allowed but instead it wasn't known to the court that that's where he went when he was released?
Just a guess, but if he wasn't ordered to not live near them, that's technically not a violation of his release, is it?
I'd sure as heck be worried if it were me. I wonder if they even knew?
Ugh. What a creep.

It was announced in Court ( about the R’s) when the Judge set his Bond amount. Idk if the DA asked for it because they are all witnesses or if the individuals filed something.

No Contact: Moorman family, Brad Oswald, Holly Wilson, Sheila Oliver, Cassidy Cordova, Morgan Gentile, Gene and Martine Ritter (Protection orders)

I have a suggestion where he could live, until trial, where he'll be less of a bother.

He's been there before. And as a perk, no ankle monitor needed.

Two Subjects:

Bail:
In my opinion, moo moo and double moo, granting BM bail was a sop, sort of a favor to E&N - good ole boy system. Defendants come and go, but E&N will be on the Colorado legal and state scene for years to come. There will be surveys, polls, votes, reviews, bar meeting and conventions, etc. No sense in making enemies. Moo moo and double moo! If BM had not gotten bail, he would have fired or stiffed E&N. After what he paid them, he hadda have something to show for it. Nobody needed that.
This is pure jmo - imaginary - NOT an actual quote: If not bailed, he could question what they did for all that money. Now they can say they talked him out! If he says: BUT I was bound over for trial. They could answer that he talked himself into that! - Speculation not a real quote.

BM is not really a threat to the public, he is not likely to take off, and if he pulls a FD, so much the better. Chaffee County saves money.

SD: Next subject: Moo moo and double moo! Imaginary only: As hinted upthread, SD may have been periodically surveilling PP at BM’s request. There may well be some clue on the PP premises as to the location of SM’s murder or body. A stone turned in a particular direction? A newly planted tree? A small piece of a paper or cardboard, perhaps taped on a window, some object which if its position was changed, would indicate someone was “getting warmer” to solving SM’s murder or her resting place. She might have been checking to see if anything was moved or changed so as to report back. The package might have been found serendipitously and she just took it. Moo moo and double moo.

Ok, so Barry has a virtual hearing scheduled for October 13, which is next Wednesday.

My suspicion, is that it may have to do with bond conditions. I can't imagine the DA is happy that Barry is living in the same neighborhood as witnesses who have no contact orders against him.

Well, jondaba, on the second topic of SD:

If you'll watch the video Cindizzi posted by Profiling Evil, you'll learn ShoSho is not so innocent in all of the stalking, following and harrassing of local residents.

I was astonished that SD removed a package from PP without permission and this new information fortifies that she is willing to play dirty. A resident is requesting "protection" from SD for the themself and the person's children whom SD has frightened, according to the information Mike imparts in the documents he has in the video.

Thanks Cindi! Great stuff.
So Mike King just verified, Mass Guy called it earlier, the DA wants Barry off Puma path. Totally understandable and reasonable.

I just want to know why the documents aren’t being uploaded to the free to the public CoCourts site.
I have no doubt that MK is acquiring them legally and they aren’t under seal. He must be paying to access them through Pacer or something similar?
Never seen this in the other Colorado cases I’ve followed.
@MassGuy and @Seattle1 , your thoughts?

Doubt Jean Ritter feels that way at all, or a few others. For that matter he called Melinda Moorman "wicked. " Seems Mr. Righteous does feel a need to set the world straight. I otherwise agree with most of your post.

But I still don't understand why the Ritters are afraid of Barry. Or do they just think that he might think they know something?

  • #477
I'm curious why you think Barry would be in violation of his bond conditions with regard to Shosho's trespass case?
It's interesting that he seems to want to keep an eye on the place.
moo
originally though he asked to live in Gunnison so will be interesting to hear how his lawyers respond.

You bet they might, the two hour coffee chat earlier in the week, wasn't about gardening I suspect. And who did the daughters reach out to? And Barry? Obviously Jean and Suzanne shared a relationship.

It may be that the State is just protecting their witnesses from anyone trying to get them to change their statements. JMO
After all, JR did tell the FBI this :

https://twitter.com/laurenscharftv/status/1430202618329108486?s=21
Agent Grusing said that Gene Ritter told investigators to search for the bike after #BarryMorphew told her to look for #SuzanneMorphew bike.

Welp when the FBI and various local and state law enforcement agencies work together for a year and testify in court that they believe they have evidence that shows that my neighbor murdered his wife, that might be enough for me. Especially if he was the guy that asked me to report her missing. I would want him in jail, certainly not next door to me with his new-ish girlfriend that appears to be known to LE.
