I think SO's testimony would provide context, in terms of SM's sharing her private thoughts and plans. But I think the really interesting evidence will be around timing of when SM dropped off the radar. Human input really to some of the phone data.
Totally agree.

From page 10/129 of the AA:
Sheila had constant communication with Suzanne via text messages and
Snapchat messages until Saturday, May 9, 2020. Sheila said that Suzanne promptly checks her Snapchat messages and Sheila was worried that Suzanne did not read three Snapchat messages from her on May 9,
2020 at 6:40 PM and 6:48 PM (MDT).

I think Sheila's testimony helps tighten the timeline.

Someone was obsessed with antlers$$$$
It would be interesting to know how much he made selling antlers. My kids said maybe $60 a set, more if they are very large and heavy and perfect shape as they sell by weight and symmetry. Probably some good pocket change or a vacation each year potentially. The end products of course are significantly more. I pay $18 for a 6" chunk of elk antler for my spoiled dog I prefer that than having her run and find gross dead deer bones that aren't picked clean by the critters.

The pivotal question at trial is whether there is a reasonable possibility SM was lightly snoring in bed last time BM saw her. That's the nub of it.

If not, the Jury should reach the obvious and natural inference BM murdered her and hid the body.

As such all the circumstantial evidence of the case will revolve directly or indirectly around that question.

The defence will throw a lot of mud against the wall but ultimately they are stuck with a defence that SM was abducted sometime later that day and was asleep when BM left.

The prosecution does not particularly need to prove how she was murdered or concealed as there is no other reasonable possibility to the abduction defence.
BBM.

BM has no affirmative defense. No alibi, no other responsible party. IMO, he will go with a general denial that the People have proved the elements of the offenses beyond a reasonable doubt. Any attempt to distract the jury with alternate possibilities not based on actual evidence will be objected to, and the objections will be sustained.

UPDATE: The prosecution has dismissed the trespassing charge against #ShoshonaDarke the alleged girlfriend of #BarryMorphew The victim did want to prosecute the charge but after closer review of the case law the people don’t believe there’s a reasonable likelihood of conviction.

If the state no longer wants to charge Ms Darke, does this solve the conflict between her attorney and Judge Murphy?

I don't think so, as the issue is she will still be represented by the attorney who presents the conflict of interest.

So this particular case is over, but she will still have this firm protecting her interests in Barry Morphew's murder trial.

Does this mean Barry's minions can now trepass at will?

This is the trespassing charge on the Morphew’s former home in Maysville. #ShoshonaDarke was arrested on Sept. 28. Her attorney wanted to make a note to the court that this was emblematic of harassment that Darke suffered from the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office. @FOX21News

Looks like Suzanne’s stepbrother TO asked that same question on Lauren’s tweet. Will be watching to see if LS answers.

Can we raise monies for the new homeowners, for trail cams in every tree, every eave, every inch?

Just in case any trespassers are feeling emboldened by the dropped charges.

Will she go back?

I can't shake this feeling that some secrets are barried there...

It warms my heart that she's feeling victimized.

There's a price to be paid for protecting a murderer, and that price begins with scrutiny.

Killers often celebrate their murders.
And take trophies.

I have no objection to hunting, provided it’s done within the law and whatever is killed is eaten or otherwise utilized. My Dad was a hunter and the first and most important thing he taught me was to respect the animal. A person who boasts about the number of chipmunks he killed around the house is not a hunter. He’s just a killer.

Did they do this to keep the judge on board? Because the victim wanted to prosecute. It’s a shame the victims rental property can’t be protected.

It’s a problem for me that so many criminals are having charges dropped. I hope this wasn’t for the judge’s sake.

Why not? Why can’t there be a conviction? Isn’t she guilty?

Legally speaking, I think they made the correct decision to drop the trespassing charges. I don't think a jury would convict someone for trying to retrieve a package that was supposed to go to their home.

Jurors tend to think 'what if I was the defendant?' Would I be trespassing if I was trying to get a package meant for my house insteAd of the house it was delivered to?

I think the prosecution realised it would probably be 'not guilty' and that would have been a bad look for them, imo.

I do believe this friend might be a witness, although I'm not sure what she adds to the murder charge since she wasn't around the days of the crime other than being yet one more person who could testify that their marriage was failing. Not sure how many of those people they really need on the stand to make the point their marriage was in trouble. And I'm not sure how this witness would hold up under cross if Suzanne was as secretive as it appears to us.
Her best friend knew of BM's abusive and stalking behavior, including when she was physically with Suzanne. Suzanne's own daughter corroborated exactly that in her statements to LE.
Suzanne told her sister after she was really frightened, and I'm sure we'll hear from her too. For all we know, there may be others who witnessed his abuse.
Suzanne was secretive about one thing, her long distance and infrequent relationship with JL.
Of course, the defense TRIED to negate everything Suzanne told her due to her not telling her about him but just watch - no one is stupid enough to buy that.
All of their testimony will be damning as hell added to everything else the prosecution has.
IMO

I think it's messed up. Unless someone can prove that the package was delivered to the wrong address, I'm not buying it.
If that were so, why wouldn't he go himself to retrieve it? Why did she walk all that way to covertly pick it up? Why not drive up to the house where a license plate would be in view?
I'm sure UPS or FedEx have a record of the delivery address AND the sender.
Did they retract the PO too? Why not if Shoshona did nothing wrong? This is bullshat and I'd love to know why.

With all the porch pirates in my vicinity I would have a hard time convicting someone of retrieving their own goods especially in these times we live in. Doesn’t make it right but leaves a lot of room for reasonable doubt. IMO
Would however love to know the contents of what was retrieved much the same as I would like to know who Epstein had in his contacts. Never will happen but I will always remain interested.
