He's just delightful. After Wild Crime, I re-read his interviews with Barry and I laughed a lot because I had these incredulous expressions to go along with Barry's answers.
Lol. The same thing happens to me when I read portions of the AA now. I can totally picture it.

I can see why Barry would respect him, as Grusing just has this aura about him. No way would Barry open up to some detective, as Barry would view himself to be way above a person like that.

Barry's statement to Grusing when he was sitting handcuffed in the back of the police car says it all:

"How could you do this to me? I trusted you."

I started watching Grusing's YouTube interviews after I was blown away by him in the Harold Henthorn documentary (Wild Crime) on Hulu.

The jury is going to absolutely love him.
MG, is his first name Al or Jonathan?
I saw a couple YouTube’s with FBI agent Jonathan Grusing. I thought his name was Al.

Gold. Pure gold. Suzanne trusted you, BM.

You've highlighted a really good point.

I would be curious to know which bay of the three car garage he pulled into. Especially in relation to where he kept his dart supplies, gun/s, tools, coolers, safe, rafter access, etc.

Most people don't leave their garage doors open when they are away. So, I'm curious when exactly was the garage door left open that day? Maybe intentionally left open after their "vegetable soup" lunch.

Normally, garage door openers have a deep rumble to them. If he did ambush SM, IMO the garage door had to have been left open earlier in the day.

The more puzzling question is why he felt the need to get his truck into the garage before ambushing SM?

JMO, MOO
Just jumping off your post -

I don't know what type of garage door openers BM/SM had, but ours are belt driven and they are very quiet.

Gold. Pure gold. Suzanne trusted you, BM.
And the thing is, that is not a normal thing to say. I'd expect most people to say "I didn't kill my wife."

It's like Barry believed Grusing was going to allow him to get away with murder.

It's Jonny.
Ok thank you. I can go watch the ones I found then. I hope we may get to see his testimony in the Morphew trial.
Barry seemed to think all the men of Colorado were his “buddies” with his mindset. Strange. And arrogant.

This is why I believe he took her up the mountain during the five hour gap.

Your knowledge of this murder case is amazing. TY

Was wondering the other day if it might be possible for you to have a seat behind the Prosecutor's table so you can pass pertinent notes to them so they don't slide sideways during the trial. I'd be happy to donate to the cause.

I watched some YouTube interviews with Agent Grusing. I noted in discussing cases in general like the Berreth case, he said we might say “he never loved her or he couldn’t have killed her”. But Grusing said that’s not true when you are talking about couples.
That puzzles me. I don’t see how a narcissist like Barry could have ever loved Suzanne.

I have not a doubt in my mind that they loved each other for some duration of their marriage. When and where each spouse fell out of love is not crystal clear. Barry proclaims he never stopped loving her. We know that Suzanne got serious on her end for divorce at some point before she started her affair and discussed the idea of divorce with trusted confidants. But we also know she accused Barry of having an affair when they were still in Indiana so the falling apart probably started at some point before they moved. It can take years for some couples to actually uncouple.

Sure. Uncoupling is one thing.
Murder is a whole other thing.

I first heard of Jonathan Grusing during another Colorado case last Summer. The trial of Mark Redwine for the murder of his young son, Dylan. I recommend watching Grusing’s entire testimony. Especially starting at 39:00

I watched it. Very compelling and you can tell how sharp this agent is. He was able to pick up on or catch the details. I would love to hear him talk about Barry Morphew but I know that’s not possible until after trial.

Post of the Day
The beauty of BM's stupidity is that he kept changing his answers to fit the evidence. :) He'd probably still be free if he kept his mouth shut...

I’ve been intrigued by true crime stories forever. My Mom and I used to swap Ann Rule paperbacks and watch Dateline stories. I moved to Colorado in 1998 and there have been, unfortunately a lot of cases in my backyard.

One I never followed was the Watts case. I just couldn’t. My local news told me all I needed to know about those poor babies. Plus, there was no trial. I am much more interested in following the Judicial process than the gory details.

The other night I went down a a YouTube rabbit hole on Watts and learned of a long statement that S.Watt’s Mother wrote where she said that when they first got together Shan’nan was ill with Lupus and Chris would rub her feet and sit for hours on the couch without moving as to not disturb her.

It reminded me of when Suzanne’s sister said that when SM was young and going through Chemo, BM would carry her from room to room because SM was so weak. She said that SM and her Mother were so impressed and thought he was her Hero.

Sorry, it just gave me the creeps big time.

I’m sure both couples were in love at one time.

One reason I am so impressed with Agent Grusing is his calm demeanor. It’s as though he has no dog in the fight.
Honestly? I don’t know how a person holds the job of investigating murderers, rapists and serial killers. To have to befriend them is enough to make my skin crawl.
I suppose it’s those agents we should be really thankful for because the likes of Barry Morphew cannot outsmart them. They just don’t get emotional. No way could I do it myself! If Agent Grusing has any hand in sinking Barry Morphew, I will be so happy.
I realize he is now retired. I just wonder in remembering all the cases, how does he sleep at night?

Talking about Grusing, I'm going through the PH.

Nielsen: And to be clear your theory is that Barry is carrying his phone as he's supposedly moving from porch to porch, correct?

Grusing: I didn't know how else it would get there.
I love this guy!

.

I only want to be there when the drones go up to check the mines behind the house. Everything else I can teleconference in. :D

Somebody has to speak for Suzanne. If it's going to be us, then I want to make sure we're armed against any BS the defense throws.
