After watching the boyfriend on the body cam, this was very evident to me although I think BM did not care about SM enough to pay attention to the details of a hobby that brought her joy.

He didn't know she would have never gone in that direction.
He didn't know she would have taken her water camel pack.
He didn't know she would have taken her car.
He had no idea she biked in the afternoons.

His whole bike story was a fail for me, based on that young man's interview.

I don't think a person could be any more nonchalant unless they were in a coma. Every word he says and every step he takes is faked, and poorly at that. To watch the videos I had to mentally step back and watch through the lens of someone who potentially knew what they were driving toward. I am guessing George was calling him while he was driving from Broomfield. He probably knew people were at the house so knew Suzanne wasn't there and knew what was going on at the ravine site. It's possible MM2's high school boyfriend's family was calling him also. I need to go see if the cell data had incoming call info to confirm, but I would highly suspect he was getting info during the drive. He had the fire scanner in his vehicle so at minimum he was getting intel from that. So if you knew there were people at the house and the house had been searched would you still come in the door and yell if you knew your spouse wasn't there? Would you jump out of car and dash down the ravine? I don't know...but I suspect he knew a fair amount before he arrived. As far as looking like a "coma" perhaps he was in shock....whether or not he did it wouldn't matter...the situation was coming to a head and reality was setting in.

And finally I do believe within every perceived lies there are nuggets of truth...just almost impossible to figure out although personally think the crux of it is that he doesn't know where she is so his mind is going in a million directions.... ravine, mines, out somewhere that animals could find her.... I really want to listen to those interviews and hope they are released soon. I think those will be our biggest clues.

i have a 20 plus year friend who lost her husband to a choking indecent last week He was enjoying a midnight snack while everyone was asleep and when they found him broken, blue and non responsive. She knew when she discovered him that he was gone. Bless her heart. She never implied he had an accident or faked his own death. Bless all the lived ones who find themselves in similar situations. Sometimes the universe indeed gives us more than we can handle .

To answer your questions, yes, I would still jump out of my truck and dash down that ravine. I would be questioning everyone at the scene. I would be yelling for Suzanne when I went into the house, and looking around to see if something had been missed. I would be thinking about nooks and crannies (the messy garage?) and thinking maybe she had fallen and was overlooked. I would ask about canines and need them to repeat what had been done, directly to me. I would ask a million questions and try to reason out when Suzanne may have left, I would call Sheila and ask when they had spoken, call her Dad, and cycle through it all again and again.

The last line of data that they show is at DSI at 2:10 PM, which does agree with the timeline. We need to subtract 6 from the time given to convert from UTC time to Mountain Daylight Time. (20:10:16 UTC -6 hours => 14:10:16 MDT => 2:10 PM) So they didn't include the skid steer data after he got the blade changed. The critical time of when he got home at 2:47 PM on through the night is missing. I guess I shouldn't be surprised as it was submitted by the defense. Sigh... I suppose we should have some faith that the prosecution checked all of the data, and not just what is listed here. Just bummed, as I'd like to see all of the data. Oh well...

Aggh this makes sense. The defense submitted this so it wouldn't include that. Wonder if it shows Barry "awake" and moving this bobcat at a time he claimed he was sleeping?

Also, there is a pile of dirt on the trailer. So did Barry do that AFTER he got home? Why would he have a pile of dirt on the trailer from a job site and then drive around to get a blade change with the dirt still on the trailer. That is where the dog alerted also. Just seems odd.

I'd be running around like a lunatic! I wouldn't have driven to THE BIKE sighting first - thanks to his 4000 tours good friend GD who he called (where they both touched the bike), I would've ran to the home and searched for her on the grounds, as many of you have said. LE was taking care of the areas surrounding the bike when there was still daylight and BM made no effort to LOOK anywhere or ask questions other than where they found the bike - just proposing a mountain lion mauling attack - with no blood.

So, he waltzes (matter of factly) at a slow pace into the home, doesn't look around, doesn't call out for Suzanne and never searches the grounds. He's in fake 'devastated' mode when his wife could be injured or out there suffering. Suzanne isn't there so why bother. She disappeared on a road she'd never ride on.
Everyone involved, even at this early point, know he killed her but that doesn't register with him. He thinks he's got this.
They even need to ask him to turn the lights on. Who wouldn't be flying around the house looking for something that's amiss? Where's her keys, her handbag, her phone? Nope. These cops are so dumb (he assumes) that they're just going to take his word for it, all of it - why point out those things that could make you look like a murderer? Just act like you're catatonic, like your wife was.
Another thing, remember that photo of a huge file with a lot of papers in it he had in his arm when walking out of the hotel?
I guarantee those were documents he didn't want LE to find. Did they seize his truck that same night? Doubt he disposed of them. Did he drop them off somewhere on his way home? That was one hefty file.
If they'd been work related, they would've been in file cabinets at home. As for the 'mail'? I believe that was a document in an envelope. Quite possibly, what he left in the trash bin was just an envelope with one of those filler papers stating what's enclosed. Postal workers don't show up before he left that early AM.

I personally believe a lot of the disposed items were unrelated to the murder, but related to other shady business dealings of Barry's. Since we know he was all about the fireplace, it must have been things he couldn't sufficiently burn. Someone like BM wants to appear perfect, he knows LE may end up searching the house and he needs to get rid of EVERYTHING that may paint him in a less than godly light. That includes any potential (judging by the interviews, BM is VERY into sex to the point of being creepy), evidence of those bank accounts SM wasn't privy to, shady business dealings including the legal issues he was facing in IN, all his spyware like the hidden cameras from the deer heads etc. He's going to want every bit of that out of the house/safe and gone. We know from MG and Jeff's testimony that the hotel room reeked of chlorine so some of it was likely clean up from the crime scene as well. He had a lot to get rid of if he wanted to make himself out to be the perfect man.

I know we just don't know how anyone would react, but this man painted a picture that their marriage was PERFECT, she was the best wife, he was just working so hard up in Broomfield and he is so devestated, but where is that showing up in any of these interactions?

I showed my husband these clips last night and asked his thoughts of them (he knows nearly nothing about this case and he has LE training) He said the guys in the first clip seemed concerned and reacting how people would when they are trying to figure out what happened to someone. He felt the video of Barry arriving at the bike scene was off. Barry's words and tone were just off.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the very first question. Everyone, EVERYONE questioned the suspicious and wrong nature of the bike location. Everyone except Barry.

Well said, I thought about this as well. A couple of things tho from my standpoint and my opinion to answer a couple questions from only my point of view. He was certainly in shock, it was show time.
* Getting all the info on the drive back, I may not have gone to the bike first. Significant other's would know where and when they bike alone. I for one would have a text or notification system in place as it is a wilderness area and would want to know when they got on the trail and when they got off the trail and what trail it was. ANY good hunter knows this when a group in your hunting party takes off on there own to hunt an area. There are trails and areas in Salida I wouldn't want my SO to bike in alone, so a buddy system would absolutely be in place. I would also know she never bikes where the bike was found and by the time of arrival it would be evident there are no tracks or signs of a struggle there. He could have already been sent pictures to confirm it was her bike. IMO I actually find it odd that is where he went first, or if I did it would be a very frantic fast stop, I would want to get to the house and see if I notice anything different that only a SO would know and a homeowner would know.
* I would absolutely yell in first entry to the house, as soon as i hopped out of the truck and as I walked in, regardless of shock. There are places and things only BM would know about the house and yard as he lived there. Like a steep incline she could have just slipped and fell. I would immediately check the little nooks and crannies that are her normal escape life spots. I would know certain things about my SO that would have me going to the house first, telling LE to meet me there. I would know those routines and any caring husband would be wanting to see those things or check those routine items prior to having a LE officer take me to a closet. He didn't even look at the bed. I would have went and checked the bed, check the night table, check the bathroom, check the kitchen,. did she follow her normal breakfast routine. I may have even went to the car first, with all the vehicles in the garage where does she normally park her bike, how did she get it out with a crowded garage. Was there things missing in the garage where she stored the bike.
* I have a few things at our house that scare the crap out of me. Like the sump pump,they probably wouldn't have one but as an example it's a pit in a dark area of the basement with water and wire's coming out of it. I would run to that area to see if she may have been injured there, like a weird noise coming from it and she grabbed one of those wires. Just all kinds of things I think I would look for instead of sheepishly heading to the closet to look for shorts, why not grab something from the laundry room?
* Which brings up another point, why have dirty clothes in the closet when your doing quite a bit of laundry....
