Great question! What happened in court the other day? Has @NoSI reported back to us yet? The silence is very strange. o_O
Lauren didn't have time to do a YouTube live, but @NoSI says that Lauren is planning to do one on Friday.

@NoSI did take notes, and plans to post them here soon. She needed time to recover from Iris, who apparently left her with some sort of TBI (she talked a lot).

I

So she brought it up first??
I always thought it was the other way around...
I know. Logically it makes no sense.

No he brought it up first.

May 09, 09:50 – Barry to Suzanne: Want to go on hike? *Text Exchange*
09:50 am BM text to SM: “Want to go on hike?”
09:52 am SM to BM: “Where?” (No response) Later on, asks about summer tires on Range Rover
10:36 am SM to BM : “Wanna meet to hike?”
10:48 am BM: “No, coming home”
10:48 am SM: “Get hot tub stuff”

Barry stated that on Saturday, May 9, 2020, he worked with MG on a job site in Salida. The task was to complete a rock beach on the property. After this job, Barry communicated with Suzanne by text message. They talked about hiking and she later requested him to purchase hot tub chemicals. Barry stated his last message from Suzanne was between 11:00 AM and noon. Barry stated at around 2:26 PM, he texted Suzanne that he was done and was headed home.

I think her objection was referring to what he did with his ring.

JMO
He has his ring on in the hand images of the scrapes and healing wounds. Her ring is either with her or if she didn't wear it continually the family has it in my opinion. But I don't think it has any relevance to the trial so we probably won't know.

I just went through everything regarding the Facebook friend requests in the AA, and I am convinced Barry sent those friend requests (a previous post by @sk716 got me thinking about this).

There are two particular points of interest here, that can't be coincidences.

Barry is down by the river when these requests initially go out.

Barry is at a job site then begins heading home about a minute after a Facebook password reset is sent to Suzanne's phone.

Also, we know from the AA that Jeff deleted his Facebook back in 2018, but it's not clear if he reactivated it. Regardless, 3 of those 20 or so friend requests were sent to men named Jeff, but none of them were JL.

Barry had to have known the first name of the man Suzanne was communicating with, and was fishing for the right one.

By friending a bunch of otherwise random people, he would have averted the issue of Suzanne putting the pieces together in regards to what was going on. She would have simply believed she was hacked, as many of the people she friend requested believed.

Also, did we know that this zoo contained bears and coyotes?

Haven't gotten quite caught up in the new thread but I wanted to add that the AA also says most of these requests were to people in IN. So, I think it's safe to say at the very least, BM was probably aware of "Jeff" and "Indiana" when he was at his river spying hidey hole that night, using his burner device on SM's iCloud to access her fb. Personally, if I had to guess, I'd say he overheard her one-sided conversation via another hidden camera somewhere on the property that he threw away during his trash runs. Just my guess.

LOL....we've all worked with people I'm sure that we have to listen intently to because they blather about all sorts of tangential things and take the long route to get to the point. I'm sure her points were made somewhere in there. Since I'm not able to hear or watch live hard to tell, but from the little we know that is definitely her personal style. I'm more interested in Cahill...will be a long trial if we have a lead investigator who "doesn't remember" or "can't recall" and we don't know because we don't know what happened but suppose, and a defendant who "doesn't remember" and "can't recall"....LOL could be a long month of trial.

Thinking about Barry's state of mind as a result of Suzanne gone missing...

He was reported to be very agitated, pacing the floor, staring out windows while residing elsewhere while LE secured the Puma Path home and property.

Not that this would be unusual in itself but when compared to his lack of concern shown on the bodycam tapes I find it notable.

He also seemed to be irritated during AMs search effort, to the degree he was adversarial, protecting his property while armed.

Other than these two reports, he has gone about life, quietly confident. The few times he did make statements it was all poor Barry.

Question is, what got him so worked-up the two times mentioned?
Was it LE and AMs search team on or near Puma Path? The seizing of vehicles, equipment, and phones?
Or both? Are there any tells in this?

It seems Barry's decisions and actions throughout this time are contrary to what a reasonable person would do, guilty or not.

As of now, I don't believe LE has revealed any solid leads as to where she can be.
However, IMO evidence points to BM taking Suzanne's life in the afternoon of May 9th.

Barry seems to be a restless person by nature, perhaps even mistake prone and bombastic. It's so frustrating that as of this time Suzanne has not been found...

IMOO

Edit to add:

"Barry's decisions and actions throughout this time..."

I mean the entire time from May10th to the present time!

Hostile to search parties
Liquidating properties
Selling Suzanne's personal items
23 interviews with LE without attorney
And on and on and on...

If anybody went to the spa store, why were the bottles empty?

JMO
Exactly my question also
Does the store recycle them?
Did BM use them all up and planted empties in her car for some reason?

It was a low level partial DNA mixture that could possibly have been that of Suzanne and a daughter.

Anyone know whether that dart or needle sheath is removed by the user before loading the dart in the weapon that fires it? Or, does the sheath stay on until the needle penetrates the target?

Cahill conducted his interviews with Kobach and Graham as partners. All the prosecution needs to do is use them again, as they did at the prelim. The videos of those interviews will speak for themselves.

That's interesting MassGuy. I'd never noticed that map before or connected the 'turkey searching' to that time. Now my mind is swirling.

What was he doing walking east from his property at 12:22? Why walk so far from his house if he was stalking Suzanne? He couldn't see her from there. Could he have been checking his (predug?) burial site for later? Interesting too that where he was pinged is off of the building envelope for Lot 2 of Monarch River Estates so not likely to be disturbed in later years.

Just throwing out a random thought here.

Do we know the details of the wifi/cell service at PP? Is the spot he walks to at a higher elevation maybe? Just thinking of alternatives as to why he would go there. If he did have a secret camera there, maybe he needs at least cell service to watch her at the house?

I'm not going to go down this rabbit hole as I don't think it has an bearing on the case, but it all depends on what they needed....there are all different brands, all different chemical compounds for shock including chlorine free, sanitizers, foam inhibitors and the list goes on and on plus treatment supplies are generally relatively available from big box stores like Walmart as well as pool and spa specialty stores. Why she had containers in her car is anyone's guess. Perhaps she just wanted Barry to handle driving and purchasing but threw them there to remind herself to stop when she was in town if Barry didn't go buy whatever it was they needed.

Didn't Andy or someone say Barry knows how to use animal scent as a deterrent?

Is that stuff pungent to humans? Did Barry get himself skunked? Is that why he tried to slink into the hotel by the back door? Is that why he was (apparently) showering and changing and showeing again, to get the stink unstuck?

Barry might've been THRILLED to learn his crew was met with full face with the scent of bleach! Might've meant he was successful in masking a way a worse stench!

Consider this as well:

Barry stalked that mountain lion for years. Could it be that Barry built a trap out there, hopeful one day to catch it? He's not much of a hunter IMO, but he 'sho loves himself some wall trophies.

Might he have had the proverbial hole trap, disguised, for a cat to fall into but having killed his wife, needed to borrow it all quicklike? Peel back that trap door...... bye bye, cooler.

Not genius. Opportunistic.

JMO

We all know BM tends to seep in the truth when he lies and your "skunk" story reminded me of his excuse to LE about the stalking of SM and her friend at PP! Remember, he told LE that he wasn't stalking them, he just "smelled terrible" and was attempting to sneak in the house without them seeing him to shower!

Good point...it's possible...not sure of the terrain where he went. Rivers are generally lower and the water flows downhill into the rivers. We do "walk and sometimes drive up the hill" to get better service.

Costumes! The animals need costumes. Sunglasses like Suzanne wore. Tutus for the lions. Ruffled collars for the elephant. Chipmunks requested brimmed hats. They'll be dressed in bright happy fabulous colors as spectators in unique costumes for the May Murder One trial of Barry Morphew for murdering his wife, Suzanne. With Special Circumstances. With forethought. And tampering.
.
RSBM
The animals should be jurors. :D

Could that be why he was looking at that other machine on his way home? Not to purchase but to borrow a part? Hmmm

This is really really good thinking. If I'm going to swap a SIM card and then swap it back to cover my tracks, I'm going to want to swap it with a machine that I know isn't moving or going anywhere. Otherwise, he has to explain how the Bobcat was at such and such site working across town.

I read an interesting article today on a former Veteran magnet fishing with his grandson. They were using magnets in Florida over passes where fish were known to be in abundance. You put a strong magnet on a fishing pole to see what you can find of interest. They found a couple of military issued rifles but no ammunition. Serial numbers had been scratched off. Wondering if this might yield Suzanne’s phone, iPhone, ring and anything else. Particularly interesting to me with our interests. Anyone local interested in magnet fishing? I’ll start a you know what seriously. Wondering how many crimes can be solved by magnet fishing. IMO

Magnet fishing sounds fun! I've already picked out a spot in Little Rock that's likely loaded with discarded evidence.

Okay! I misunderstood then! :) Thanks for clarifying. I wonder if they took some of that dirt (no matter how small it is) in case they ever find Suzanne and they can compare the soil from her location and maybe that dirt. It would likely be from the last place he ever dug. I do think some of the bobcat data is missing from the defense evidence they submitted. He would have had to turn it on to remove it from the trailer and the last time we see it moving on the defense evidence is at the repair place.

Exactly.

Everything Cahill could say at trial can be covered by others. IMO, he was no longer included in the prosecutors' trial strategy once he received a Brady letter. Not a difficult decision.

They will need to address the partial DNA match effectively, though. E&N may at least try to call him as part of the defense case, in an effort to confuse the jury.

IDK that IE will be the lead at trial. @NoSI's reaction to the mind numbing, windy, circular arguments of the "Hurricane" is not unusual and jurors who don't like defense counsel can tune out what they say -it's a natural human response. I suspect that as a team, IE deals with motions and DN is the lead trial attorney who makes the opening and closing argument to the jury. Both involved of course in all decisions, but different roles in court.

Or did he take her car back into town to get the chemicals? Remember the bottles were in her car.. seems so odd. Her car data wasn't back at the time of the AA being written.

From the PH. I love me some Grusing:

Q (Nielsen): Did you consider Agent Graham’s interview – you did a whole timeline, an FBI timeline, in this case about what the events and what Barry’s movements were on May 9th, correct?

A (Grusing): Correct.

Q (Nielsen): Did you consider Agent Graham’s interview of Janelle Nebal at Salida Stove and Spa who said that Barry came to Salida stove and spa sometime between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm on May 9th?

A (Grusing): I did not.

Q (Nielsen): Did you consider the interview that D.A. Investigator ?ren did of Janelle Nebal of Salida stove and spa where she gave the same information?

A (Grusing): I did not because it would conflict with the telematics.

Q (Nielsen): How does it conflict with the telematics?

A (Grusing): At 4:44 his vehicle is at the residence.

-- (removed Nielsen wasting time) --

Q (Nielsen): And we know that the telematics doesn’t capture all the events, correct?

A (Grusing): Right.

Q (Nielsen): And we know the location of the truck changed between 2:43 and 4:44 pm.

A (Grusing): Yes, and Barry was interviewed approximately 30 times.

Q (Nielsen): Did I ask you that question, sir?

A (Grusing): No.

MR. LINDSEY: Judge, objection. That’s argumentative.

MS. NIELSEN: I believe he’s being argumentative.

THE COURT: Well I think she didn’t ask you that particular question and you’re going to get an opportunity to redirect.

BY MS NIELSEN:

Q (Nielsen): Did you consider Ms. Nebal’s statement to Agent Graham that when Barry Morphew came to Salida Stove and Spa on May 9th between 4:00 and 5:30 pm that there was nothing unusual about his demeanor?

A (Grusing): No I did not.

Q (Nielsen): Did you consider Agent Graham’s conversation with Ms. Nebal’s son Colton Nebal?

A (Grusing): No.

Q (Nielsen): And that Colton said he had been told by his mom that Barry had come into the store on Saturday, May 9th?

A (Grusing): I recall that he came in the store but the times I don’t – no, I didn’t consider these times.

Q (Nielsen): Sir, you did a timeline –

A (Grusing): Correct.

Q (Nielsen): – a detailed timeline and you didn’t consider this information or included in your timeline.

A (Grusing): That’s correct.
