He shoots her from the breezeway, she runs inside and manages to lock herself in the bedroom, he busts the door, and either holds her down until she passes out (scratches) or smothers/strangles her.

More likely mud. This got discussed quite a ways back....but any mud that dries that has clay in it leaves a reddish tinge.

Does anyone really think Barry gives a damn about his daughters’ happiness? I sure don’t. IMO he only wants them around for the photo ops of the three of them walking into and out of court arm in arm.

Once Barry found out what the bf and and his father told LE, he was probably worried that the bf and his father might be able to convince MM that Barry killed her mother.

I don't think Barry has much respect and affection for people generally, but I do feel he loves his daughters.

I believe without a doubt he'd give his life for them!

How they relate to each other day-to-day though is probably very much on his terms. Suzanne may have role modeled this and built him up in their eyes, too. I believe they love their father very much.

Depending on the respect shown within this dynamic, it isn't necessarily a bad thing (there are hierarchies within relationships).
It depends on the luck of whose one father is...

Add note: He does seem to really love his mother and hold her in high regard. I get this sense through pictures and brief filmed interactions.

Absolutely I he loves his daughters. There is zero, zilch, nada that points to the opposite.

No one can say "absolutely," one way or the other, even if one personally knows Barry. Only he can know that.

People looked at Facebook posts and photos and said "they looked perfectly happy." Little did we know...

This man is a cold blooded murderer who took their mother away. That doesn't exactly scream "love" to me.

He’s just so dumb. He should have taken that poly. He would have failed but we probably wouldn’t have heard about it and it wouldn’t be admissible at trial. He may have even cracked and confessed. At the least, it likely would have pushed him to get an attorney right away and he wouldn’t have yapped away to LE for hours and hours.

It’s kind of satisfying to think he’s dug his own grave.

At the time of Stephanie Bruner's death, investigators had three persons of interest including the husband, her affair partner, and his wife. The affair partner and his wife both failed polygraph exams but were soon excluded as POIs. Dale Bruner, the husband, refused a polygraph and was convicted of his wife's murder.

I agree, BM should have taken the polygraph!

Their high-pitched voices irritate the other jurors, they talk too fast, and they always tear up the "guilty vs innocent" vote tallies before they are fully counted and stuff the pieces into their cheeks until they are so overfilled they explode all over the table in the deliberation room.

They’re not known for neatness. I had chipmunks at my old house. They were so cute and friendly and I even named a few of them. I can’t imagine anyone finding it entertaining to arbitrarily go around shooting them just because they’re there. I really despise Barry.

Suzanne and Barry were married a long time -- Suzanne said he was boring or disinteresting. Unsatisfying, as it were. He had to look up, um, how to be, um, satisfying.

I'm pretty sure they had a fixed repertoire as most long-time couples do. If Suzanne noted it, it was odd enough, new enough, and outside the repertoire.

It's curious.

If the cleaning lady who talked to Barry on Wednesday evening at the development dumpster assumed it was Barry and his wife, she might've reported it as such. (Anyone find it ironic he was policing the communal dumpster, calling out illegal dumping??? But what a clever way of dodging suspicion of HIMSELF by putting the other person, the cleaning lady, on notice?)

We don't know whether she had subsequent interviews with LE to clarify the exchange. Maybe "Suzanne" hung back. Maybe she has since confirmed it was Suzanne. Or it wasn't. Or she can't be sure.

If Barry confronted her, I think it's fair to ask whether he was protecting the neighborhood dumpster or if he created a diversion away from just exactly what he was doing there in the first place.

Barry may feel something he identifies as love towards his daughters
IMO his love is very transactional
Based upon what others can offer him
All take and not much give

He likes the image of a perfect family
Suzanne pretty much cultivated and maintained that image for him
And when she no longer wanted to enable his behavior and play pretend
He killed her
So there’s that

The girls have stepped into Suzanne’s role
His perfect daughters now lovingly escorting their father to court
Doting on him and holding his hand
Is that appropriate
Does a loving father think of what is best for his girls
Or what is best for him

For Barry, his needs seem to be always front and center

So, IMO, if Barry loves his daughters, it is a very warped one sided type of “love”

Red clay was discounted as CCSO would recognize red clay, it's common in the area.
