Hmm... Here's a textbook example of being "cunning." The trait in Barry that David Moorman spoke of.
I've obviously never heard of a case where a suspect talked to law enforcement this extensively, as it just doesn't happen. Even so, the amount of lies and inconsistencies is absolutely unbelievable.

I've never seen anything like it. I think the one thing we can all agree on, is that Barry is a pathological liar.

Think it's his need to control...everything.

An answer for everything.

Is the rusty old chipmunk gun or ROCG the same short rifle he’s been charged with ?

The AA says he handed it over to the FBI on February 29 and the weapons charge says it was in his possession until March 4.

I realize that’s only 4 days, just thought it odd.
The PP home sold on March 3.

He also insists that he shot it even after SM went missing.
Notice he almost said “ before “.

This gun:
(Barry Morphew Interview – February 29, 2021)
While SA Grusing and SA Harris were parked about one block away from Barry’s condo, Barry drove his truck beside the Agents’ car at about 5:03PM and handed a weathered .22 caliber altered rifle with a newly mounted rifle scope to Agents. Barry said that was the gun he used to shoot the chipmunk and he had to leave to workout at the gym.

Is this gun.

The chipmunk is Suzanne. This weapon was unaccounted for on May 10th, 11th, and 12th.

SM's Remains. Undetectable?
The septic or basically any location on the Morphew property would be ruled out, imo...because it would not jive with Barry's statement that "he could bury a body and no one would ever find it"....He could bury a body on his property....the rest he would have no control over. I think he used his skill set and Mother Nature's secret hiding places.
@Scootie98 Thx for your post, and agreeing w you: SM's remains being placed in PP septic tank (hypothetically) would be inconsistent w BM's stmt about burying a body in a nondetectable way. {ETA: not claiming to know where her remains are.}
OTOH - what about BM's penchant for exaggerating & telling big fat porkies?

What's your theory?

Where'd he stash it? Based on the condition/appearance, do you think it was buried (and subsequently got wet)? We know he's a barrier.

Not a proper way to take care of a gun but then look at his workbench, his truck, his Indiana couch disposal, and Suzanne's list of reasons; he dun't take care of what most men would.

Ah, so now we think he either went and got a wood chipper or went to the Fire Station?
No, I don't think he used a woodchipper. He wanted a no muss, no fuss murder. IF he did use a woodchipper, he could have buried it like he did the furniture and money in IN, and then planted alfalfa on top. Who does that?

Lol. I was just replying to @eyeseestars comment about a wood chipper. That would not be the first person to suggest that BM did away with SM’s body by using a wood chipper. I just wanted to point out that there is one readily available.

No. A different George from Indiana. I'm a big fan. We'll call him "George W," or W for short.

W* said that Barry thinks he is a really good liar and he is not. Barry is the kind of person that will just stand there and "tell you something you know damn well is not true." W* would often just listen and not contradict because he just did not want the conflict with Barry.

W* sent Barry a series of texts on September 23, 2020, accusing Barry of killing Suzanne and telling Barry he would rot in hell.

Let's start a George W Fan Club ! Love this guy already, calls it like he sees it..no beating around the bush :p.

To me seeing the elk checks out. There was about an 80% moon on 5/10.
Elk were .105 mile along straight road section.
My question is why did BM proceed to Garfield to turn around since the elk were near the intersection of 50 and 225?

My guess would be to show off the police because maybe some evidence was at the location he actually turned around at? If all they have is the missing miles and the missing time roughly then maybe he went down a side road before the Garfield turn around? Maybe he tossed the phone there or something else that was never recovered?

BM climbs a trees to scope out his prey, I'll bet he knows where a lot of hollow trees are at. I'd also bet that theory has never been checked out. But that old rusty, musty gun looks like it's been hanging out inside a hollow tree for a minute.

He got one thing right, then screwed up everything he possibly could.

Even idiots know things, and Barry knows the outdoors. He also had the advantage of a vast expanse of unforgiving terrain.

He killed Suzanne in a bloodless way, and likely transported her body to a remote location that he was familiar with.

After that it all went it hell, starting with his hilarious and damning alibi.

I do agree I think it was bloodless.. or very little blood if any and it was likely just from superficial wounds like scratches while she was fighting for her life. I don't think he shot her or stabbed her. I think he strangled her or drowned her while she was tranquilized or something similar.

But, if he did shoot her let's say.. he has a lot of experience with killing animals and with cleaning it up. I am sure he's learned over the years of ways to do what he does without making a huge mess. He has learned how to clean up after himself when gutting or processing dear, elk, etc. I think it's possible he might have even thought of how he would/could do that if he ever killed Suzanne. Imagine having a way to practice being as clean as possible, how to not get blood on your clothing or shoes, how to avoid stepping in the mess you've bad, etc. It's horrible to think about, but I think he could have thought about killing her for a while. Maybe not in an evil plan all the details out kind of way, but when they have argued, when he's stormed off or been on hunting trips, I think it's went through his mind that he could kill her and clean it up no problem. I mean he even told MG that he could hide or bury a body so it would never been found.

Regarding Barry's burying...
I've been asking myself the same thing @jakat
He is so secretive and controlling.

Edit to add:

Maybe the mind of a "tracker" leaving no trace?
Only a man knows his own spirit and I think subconsciously Barry feels the need to conceal.

I think I got this:

Barry said that he owned firearms and all the firearms and ammunition are stored in a locked gun safe in the garage. It should be noted that on May 11, 2020, while law enforcement searched the Morphew residence, two firearms were located at the residence that were not inside a gun safe. A high-powered rifle was located in a closet on the ground floor in a closet. The rifle appeared to be spray-painted in a camouflage pattern and your affiant could not locate a serial number. A Benelli 12-gauge shotgun was found lying against the wall in the garage. Also, a loaded .22 long rifle cartridge was located lying on the floor in the master bedroom near the right side of the bed.12

This rusty old thing has been modified in a whole lot of ways. Note that bolt action.

I've got no doubt this thing fires the darts he owned and I'm reasonably certain that in the months that he still had it after he was supposed to have turned over all of his guns, that he altered the rifling in case the dart was ever found.

Speaking of, WTF was this weapon on the 10th? It wasn't in his truck when they seized it or they would have processed it. It wasn't in the house on the 12th.
Good question. Do we need to add that to the list of items he had stashed somewhere?
The thing is, he got himself all twisted up with the whole killing chipmunks story. If you were confronted by LE as to why you were running all around the house on the last day your wife was known to be alive, you would likely say, “What are you talking about? I was never running around my house that day.” Now he’s got himself killing chipmunks, 85 of them, admitting he was shooting a gun that day, and intertwining that with the dart story, tranquing deer for their antlers, etc, etc, etc. You’re telling the cops they’ll likely find bullets, bullet casings, tranquilizer darts and fluid, antlers from illegally tranqued deer and God knows what else. They must have been looking at him and saying “What the …………. You have got to be kidding me. This guy is a treasure trove of ludicrousness.” :p

The arrest/complaint language is an estimated or inclusive period.

I recall BM complaining to Agent Grusing how he wanted his gun(s) back and why he wasn't cleared yet.

Wasn't his entire gun safe seized? I wish we had those search warrants already!

I don't know why BM ended up with the illegal short rifle in his possession after the search warrants were executed on PP so I think he must have had the gun elsewhere at the time???

Nonetheless, I think BM surrendered the short rifle because he was moving from PP and did not want to give LE a reason to search his new dwelling for the illegal, short rifle. MOO

Yes!
I've spent more time looking for chickens that failed to roost than Barry's spent looking for Suzanne.
We even had some little skunks that drowned in our culvert and I cried.

As a fellow chicken owner, I must say this made me laugh a little. But yes, I totally agree.
