I’ve always been curious why GD would cover for Barry or help him in any way if he knew or suspected the truth. He had only known him two years. Did he know about Barry and SD? Is he that dark of a character? Even if Barry told GD he suspected SM of infidelity, you would think GD would try to talk to his friend about divorce. Maybe he did, to no avail. I’m interested to hear what GD knows.

I have never believed that GD would risk his family, livelihood or freedom over a guy from from IN that moved to CO two years ago. BM probably tried desperately to fit in with these guys. I think GD thought he was helping a friend who had a missing wife. I can absolutely see him searching for SM and believe he would do the same for a neighbor he didn’t know. It’s a shame that BM totally exaggerated his deployments (I think BM does this often) and that became his identity on here and elsewhere. He’s probably a nice and honorable guy.

IIRC he criticized LE when he saw SM’s bike being removed and gloves weren’t being worn. I believe he heard the call come through over his issued fire station communication and went to the scene. It sounds like he was suspicious but probably not at BM right away. I think he gets a pass for that. Who knows what he thinks today. I believe he did that one brief interview with LS at his front door

As far as him or anyone knowing of any infidelity by BM- I’m not sure how many people in general would get involved or think it was their place or responsibility. IMO

In addition to having a major man crush on GD, Barry totally used him as cover.

There was no way Barry was going to speak on camera to the press, or do the things that every innocent spouse does when their significant other is missing.

Instead he exaggerated GD's service record, in an effort to create the illusion that he was doing more than he actually was to search for his missing wife.

I do hope that GD has since seen the light, and I hope he does the right thing if called upon.

Barry is a pathological liar, a manipulator, and a killer. I hope you realize that George.

People Believing in BM's Innocence?
@FromGermany1 Thanks for your thought provoking post.

In summer/fall 2020, I recall stmts of support but since then, not so much, leaving me to wonder who ^ post refers to, aside from relatives,* and well Sho.Da.

Other names/initials to share?
And their specific stmts/actions showing belief in his innocence? When?
Anyone? @FromGermany1 ? TiA.

I must be overlooking some people or info, or misinterpreting something as I inadvertently do from time to time.

Some people on SM do. No initials. ;) I may say, the homeowners of his current residence love him also.

I am on the same page 100%. He may have criticized LE, I didn't hear it on the video and that's when they were literally bringing the bike up the hill. I have stated before, I think there is a great probability both GD and TN were unwittingly used by Barry, as were the Ritter's. IMO

Agree with all you said but it’s all a guess at this point. That’s why I would like to hear from him. He was with BM’s nephew when the two tried to shake down MG and threaten her with not getting her pay from Barry and told her she didn’t have to turn over her phone to LE. Are you willing to give him a pass for that? I am not. He should have known the moment Barry asked him to do something so wrong that Barry was not so innocent.

Wow, so very interesting! Thank you for posting the list!
Even Lauren Scharf is there.
From what I can tell...everyone or just about everyone they talked to is there as I mentioned earlier. I believe they did talk to Lauren. There was that strange period after she called him on the phone and then the confrontation at the condo when his daughter was upset. And that is only 2 times I suspect they had a conversation with her. I'm sure she was doing her share of knocking on doors as an investigative reporter. They talked to non-media you tuber/videocasters also from what I saw on the list that had been taping and looking around the area. I'm wondering if some of the names that aren't easily recognizable were people that were on the "people's search" in the fall with Suzanne's brother that were dog handlers or who turned over information they found or called in tips on which they followed up. They have allowed 4 weeks for trial so clearly not all 500 people on that list are going to be in court testifying and that is only the prosecution side...defense might have witnesses also so even if they could get through 6-8 a day which is pretty speedy with testimony and cross there won't be anywhere near 500. It's all going to depend on what prosecution will be allowed to use as evidence I would think and what theory they are going with - if they are sticking with the dart gun theory or have modified their theory. If they aren't going to use the bobcat for example, they don't need the DSI guy that helped with the blade change IMO. If they aren't going to use the search at the river house there are quite a few people in investigators and including the lady who heard noises she couldn't quite remember which night but close to the date Suzanne went missing they may not need or call as another example in my opinion.

I agree most of his friends have been used. But some if it seems to be willingly. Not cool.

Aren’t they 2nd homeowners from Texas? Not locals

I think the Op is talking about the Cushman home. They support Barry and believe he is innocent.

BM description per wh[/QUOTE]
Q Eytan: As you can see on May 7th, Ms. Morphew continues to text message between Mr. Libler a lot of the day, correct?

A Harris: Correct.

Q Eytan: But you remember from looking at the investigation that — and in your timeline — that at 4:43 on May 7th Ms. Morphew lets her husband, Barry, know she’s been studying all afternoon and had veggie soup on for dinner. You recall that?

A Harris: Yes, I recall that statement.

Q Eytan: And Ms. Morphew’s next report about Barry beingbetween the report about Barry to Mr. Libler is on May 9th at 8:21 am, the next report about Barry where she says to Mr. Libler after he asked her how her night was and she said, “I had a fine, quiet night. Picked up pizza and looked around town at houses for sale. Still talk of Arizona.” Correct?

A Harris: Correct.

Q Eytan: So Ms. Morphew is telling Mr. Libler that she had a fine night with Mr. Morphew on May 8th, correct?

A Harris: Yes.

MR. LINDSEY: Judge, I’m going to object. That’s very much speculation. Fine evening does not mean anything other than she had a fine evening and who she was with, or who she wasn’t with, it’s not in the text, that’s complete speculation.

THE COURT: It would help if we could get the testimony about the pizza. That got very confused because you had the date wrong.

So I think if we can establish that they had pizza on the 8th and on the 9th she said she had a fine night, I had pizza there’s a link there, but we don’t have the pizza part yet.

MS EYTAN: Okay.

BY MS. EYTAN:

Q Eytan: On May 8th at 7:15 pm Ms. Morphew lets Mr. Libler know that she can talk to him on WhatsApp.

A Harris: You said 7:15 on May 8th.

Q Eytan: Okay, we’re going to move off the pizza. Okay? let’s move to Suzanne’s secret bank account. On April 23, 2020. Suzanne’s Gmail account received a statement from her Green Dot account, correct?

A Harris: I’m actually —

MR. LINDSEY: I’m going to object. This is beyond the scope.
I swear these attorneys purposely make mistakes to confuse, then instead of sticking with the correct information they quickly change the subject. Can you imagine how confused a jury will be if the Judge doesn't nip this in the bud immediately.

Barry was like a meek little lamb when he returned to Puma Path. From the weak ”lion?” to standing around and quietly discussing with his right hand bud, he did not appear to be a man who needed information. I’ve been in the situation, I was like a maniac demanding answers. I know everyone behaves differently, but hard no on this one. Even when he went into the house, with his,“ is the door open?” What was he worried about? LE would have needed somebody to stay with me as soon as I arrived, to help me understand what had been done and what was being done. Her bike was found locally, and this was Barry’s turf. Why didn’t he try t0 offer insight and go over possibilities? The side eyes were well deserved. Why did they look at Barry right away? Not cause of a bleach smell. Cause of every single thing he said and did that day.

Yep. Remember how we wondered for the longest time (over a year) just what it was that quickly raised LE's suspicions? The body cam footage answers that question.

WhatsApp is owned by Facebook so that tells me they do keep track of users data.

"Whenever you clear (or delete) a message, or a batch of messages on WhatsApp, (be it an individual chat or a group message), they disappear from your screen immediately. But you should know that messages that are not seen on your screen, are actually still present on the smartphone, and are not permanently deleted by WhatsApp...
... the app retains and stores a forensic trace of the chat logs, even if you are deleting them this creates a ‘treasure trove’ for those who are mining for data."

Here's the snag pertaining to this case:

"However, in order to get the required data, one needs physical access to the device."

WhatsApp doesn't permanently delete your chats, keeps all records saved

Yep, seems curious?
Since not full time residents I wonder how well they knew Barry?

Apparently Barry is a good schmoozer to some.

Then there are those who knew him in Indiana who say he lies all the time.

Yes.
Sorry, I didn't make note of the timestamps when I made my transcripts.
The photo of Jeff looks a lot like the Cox brothers of Vallow/Daybell fame.

I think BM made a nistale, saying tours for missions.
He has no military background, made hash of 400 missions.

Join the club. I'm pretty sure Shoshona was the housekeeper for that home.
IMO

I'm feeling more and more sure that Barry and Sho had a relationship before this somehow. I think he was sneaky about it and he often left and stayed gone with his phone off. It seems he wouldn't need to use his phone to communicate with her if he had that other phone and he could storm off any time he wanted and be gone for however long he wanted with his phone off..

When people know you for 30+ years it's harder to hide who you are, so maybe the "newer" friends just haven't seen enough of who he really is to be swayed yet.

I didn't get any sense of urgency from BM on the body cam. His level of concern and overall demeanor were just weird, and off, imo.
That really weird, contrived quiver in his voice makes me giggle every time I watch the video. He must have googled how to be a concerned husband of a missing wife for that one.
