My take is the odds right now without the benefit of the trial information are 50/50. A couple months ago I might have given the tip to prosecution but the dart theory crumbled. No one has even thrown out the possible defense counter argument that the needle sheath in the dryer was Suzanne’s from cleaning and flushing her cancer port. There are absolutely incriminating things in this case but the case is no where near a given in my opinion.

The photos submitting for evidence showed one of the needles from Barry's darts missing and then the one found in the dryer laid beside it. It is the missing one so unless Suzanne used his darts for her port flushing?

Thank goodness BM LOVES to talk and he’s such a prolific lion liar! :D I hate to think where this case would be if he retained counsel once he realized they weren’t buyin’ what he was trying to sell. Now that’s providential!! :)
Isn't it though? :p

Ole' self-professed tight wad BARE wasn't going to spend $$ Suzanne's inheritance on a bunch of phooey lawyers, when in his own mind he's the sharpest man in any room. And the irony of that very thing being his downfall isn't lost on me. :D

A picture is developing for me.

Suzanne made the bed Saturday morning, per habit.

Saturday early afternoon, she is sunbathing on the patio. On the brown towel. In her bikini.

She sends the selfie, messages that she's switching over to wa. In fact, if the time stamps bear this out, I think she sends the selfie. As an appetizer. Wraps herself in the towel and goes inside.

In her bedroom, she removes her bikini, hangs it up. Perhaps all she's wearing now is the brown towel. She plugs her phone in (she'll want it fully charged for her upcoming bike ride) and sends the message about wa.

She lies on her bed. On the towel essentially because she was wrapped in it. But first she relocates the throw pillows all to the left side of the bed. From where she never gets the chance to retrieve them.

The two minutes Barry is outside the door, if she was in the shower, he was listening. If she was on wa, he was listening. But is it possible he was talking to her? Through the door. Listen, angel, open the door. You know I love you. I just want to talk to you.

Maybe she wasn't scared. Yet.

But if she got scared and said so, if she said she was going to make a call, that would be the common moment when hell breaks out, and controllers break down doors.

Suzanne would've been grabbing for her phone when he made entry. Perhaps the tackle happened on the floor, bedside, where the unspent cartridge landed. The phone cord tangled between them.

If this theory holds, Suzanne never slept in that bed again and neither did Barry.

Barry hates that bedroom.

Lauren did a summary of the Broomfield job. Barry was not hired by the general contractor Garrett construction. Garrett had subbed to EA outdoor who had subbed to Barry so I would not be surprised if he didn’t know who the general was. Barry delegated it to CC and CC and she says they said Barry was not there for the job.
I’ll have to go back and watch LS video about the wall job.

But you’re right, it really doesn’t matter if BM knew the name of the contractor or sub-contractor in charge of repairing the wall. CC says it had already been repaired several times just 6 months prior to Mother’s Day.

My point was more that another reason his alibi looks so contrived is that he says this was a big $30000 job that he had to rush up there and “ get eyes on it” so he could get his workers lined out a day before they showed up to work, and he didn’t bring any paperwork on the job .

No paperwork was found in his truck, the binder or in the hotel room.
Paperwork was found in his home.

He lied and said he was studying it in the hotel room.

Doesn’t add up. Along with him not bringing the required equipment and him changing the plan at the last minute with MG.

She has never communicated with anyone from the moment Barry arrived home.

Barry's phone tells the truth, that he was the last one around her and now any communication from her is dead.
Her friend SO immediately felt something was wrong when she didn’t hear back from Suzanne. These idiots who think they’ve planned the perfect murder always seem to forget that there are people out there who will know there’s something wrong when they don’t hear from their friend/loved one.

True… but we are less than 90 days from trial and witness list is due in the coming week. I would challenge the idea that everything that gets discussed here is fact. Some is of course. I have followed this case since the day it hit the news having familiarity with the area and family that lived in the area. I had friends who searched with Andy. I haven’t been to Salida since Fibark this past year but I will be back again. But the trial is of utmost importance. He goes to prison for a very long time or he goes free never to be tried again for any of the charges that the jury votes on.
I didn’t say everything discussed here is fact, I said most. Reread my post. I have also followed this case since day 1. I never said the trial is not important. That goes without saying, doesn’t it? I’m sure most of us here know what happens in a trial and don’t need to be told. Until then, we can all speculate or discuss facts as we know them. I don’t need a trial to tell me what facts I know to be true.

There would be no case without his mouth.

Yeah, the marriage was collapsing.

Suzanne's footprint ceased the previous day.

Barry was strangely in the driveway during the 3'oclock hour.

Suzanne's phone powered down just as he was leaving.

She never went biking there, didn't bring everything she normally would, and didn't turn her phone on that morning.

Barry's alibi was suspicious, and he lied to the Ritters about where he was and what he was doing.

All that stuff tells you that Barry is responsible, and excludes anything else happening.

That's not a murder case though.

If there is justice here, it will because of your ignorance, arrogance, and stunning stupidity. Thank you Barry Morphew, you magnificent 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.
.
Well said.
I’ve missed a LOT of posts today. I would shocked if twelve reasonable jurors don’t connect the dots right away.

Edited: I had to delete a previous post. Sorry.

TS looked foolish, imo. All hat and no knickers. Bro points for loyalty.
I think the sister has potential for Janey Peterson hijinks.
I'm having a difficult time feeling empathy for them because Suzanne, a person they claim to care about, is gone, and they both know things that they are choosing to ignore, brother or idol, or not.
BBM

Exactly the vibe I got from her!

I remember it vividly. Not, "Did you find my wife? Where is she? We need to find her!". Nope. Mountain lion, bike, phone and that's it. Then he goes and touches the bike with his buddy GD.
And just as bad, if not worse, when he went into the house with LE he didn’t call out for Suzanne or frantically run around looking to see if she was there.

His alibi is remarkable. Of course by "remarkable," I mean "remarkably damning." It's actually pretty hilarious.

He leaves early for a job he can't perform.

He tells investigators he spent all day traveling from the hotel to the job site, despite spending minutes there during a lone trip.

He bizarrely changes shirts multiple times, carries boots to his hotel room to remove laces, and dumps trash 5 times, while not even remembering doing so.

He later claims that he looks at the wall, and has time to kill because he's going to have his workers perform this job, which is the reason he decided to clean out his truck.

Of course he really dumped trash 4 times prior to even going to the wall, so that doesn't remotely hold up.

He spends five plus hours in his hotel room, which blows apart his earlier claims that he was working all day.

The biggest, most damning lie however, is where Barry was when the Ritters call him. He tells them, and then tells investigators on multiple occasions, that he was at the wall (he told the Ritters with workers present), rushed back, and left his tools.

In reality, he leaves his room, goes to his truck, and then retrieves tools to sell that lie.

The following day he speaks to Morgan, and instead of saying "come back," he basically tells her to figure out how to perform that job.

His wife has been kidnapped and eaten by a mountain Lion, but he wants the work to continue.

I dunno about you, but it's almost as if he was trying to sell that alibi.

Can anyone who is remotely open to Barry being innocent explain all of this away?
But-but-but he’s done all that all his life!

Having been on chemo for many years it has never been an option for me to flush my own port, something done by medical professionals.
I can't even imagine why self-flushing would be an option considering the risk of infection.

Do we even know whether Suzanne had a port or whether she received treatment through it? So many assumptions required when one tries to make a case from lies.

Edit.

And just as bad, if not worse, when he went into the house with LE he didn’t call out for Suzanne or frantically run around looking to see if she was there.

In fact, he very casually made his way to the front door of PP with 2 officers in tow, and walked straight in to the bedroom, over to the closet door, and pointed right down there to her biking clothes.

Almost like he knew exactly where they'd be.

Weird.

I'm running about a day behind, but Dateline did confirm that Suzanne slept on the side closest to the bathroom. For me, that confirms that Barry hadn't been sleeping in the bed for at least a couple of days.

http://www.[link removed]/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/People-Exhibits-Prelim-Hearing_Page_77.png
The decorative pillows are on Barry's side of the bed so she probably wasn't moving them to remake the bed.

Something just occurred to me about the sheets in the washer. So if Barry wasn't sleeping in the bed, was he sleeping in the spare room where the sheets were missing? Maybe they needed washed because HE was sleeping in that room and not so much because they just needed washed for company coming.

He can't have LE knowing that because then they would now there were issues. I wonder if that list she wrote was really her writing. Maybe he wrote that list to justify those sheets being in the wash.

"Barry has made at least thirteen assertions by his third interview with the FBI, most of them unsolicited, that he had no idea about the affair and asks Agents to say they believe him,” an extraordinary footnote of the 131-page affidavit states. “This contradicts other statements made to the FBI and his actions in 2019 to find out who Suzanne is talking with and who she is seeing on her trips.”

Top Five Most Explosive Details in Lengthy Barry Morphew Murder Investigation Affidavit That Was Just Released
Because it was 100% in Barry's best interest for LE to think he had no idea about the affair. He didn't even think they were going to find out about those texts he deleted suggesting the marriage was not good. Then he could lie and claim the marriage was amazing and he had absolutely zero reason to harm her. Nope none at all...

No we don’t know if she had a port.
We only know what family and friends have said about her treatments.
Although quite the novel idea, I find the suggestion that the needle sheath being something SM might have used to be ludicrous and quite reaching. JMO

p.s. I really really hope you are doing well.

Suzanne, a strong woman on many levels, overcame Hodgkins Lymphoma twice. Once before her children were born, and again as the Morphew family moved to Colorado. The family says they celebrated her last cancer treatment on October 1, 2019.

Some days I would be in the chair next to her getting chemo. Suzanne was one of the nicest people I have met. She was always cheerful and had a great attitude about her cancer and life. She loved her daughters more than anything in this world and they loved her more than anything too. She would never just up and leave them, never!

Her daughters (one or both) would always be with her for her treatments. I saw Barry come in once, he was not overly friendly and seemed to be uncomfortable there. That is not unusual as it’s often hard for loved ones to be there.

Suzanne was so happy on the day of her last treatment. She was still coming in for maintenance treatments, but the chemo was done and she was doing great. She was supposed to come in for her maintenance the Monday after Mother’s day, but of course, did not show up. She was a bright light in this world. I really miss Suzanne and pray that justice is served.

Weird.
He knew where the laundry basket was. He pointed and stood back and the officer chose what to take while he was retrieving the plastic bag.

Agree. One of the reasons I think they want the whole interviews played is so the jury can here Barry in dialogue and not snips of conversations. So yes to get a sense of him in context. It must not be something they are nervous about. Probably not something they are excited about. I have always wanted to hear the “Barryisms” in context.
BBM
Well its funny though isn't it, because on one hand the Defense says they want the full interviews played in court, but on the other hand they ask the court to sanction the Prosecution by throwing out all BM's interviews. Kind of circular - which I suppose is very fitting
As far as “Barryisms’” - I guess that would be defined as the practice of deceit or the act of "giving a bum steer", coined in reference to a murderer who was a lying liar.
The last thing, BM et al want is all his changing dialogue, ole Barry jumping like a chipmunk from one lie to the next, played for the world to hear.
IMO

So there would be no flushing a port at home. Nope. Nada.

I found that ironic also.
