There are so many facts we do not know. Some things I would really like to know are:
1. When did Barry reserve his hotel room?
2. When or did Barry arrange for the weekend work with the contractor he was working for?
3. When and who arranged the daughter's vacation?
4. Does the prosecution have additional electronic device data?
5. Did his employee depositions reveal any pertinent evidence?
6. What did the daughter depositions reveal?
7. Has the prosecution been able to determine when the bedroom door frame was damaged?
8. What electronic data, if any, was collected from the other family vehicles?

As to your later questions, we learned that Barry was lying about the perfect marriage, that a journal existed, and that divorce had been discussed. Then the daughters stopped talking to law enforcement, as was their right. Barry couldn't allow that to continue.

The previous owners said that there was no damage to the doorframe when they lived in the house, but the most important thing was that Barry claimed to have never noticed it. There's just no way...

We know the daughter's RR didn't have telematic capability, but we have learned that Suzanne's vehicle helped LE in some way. We don't know how...

John Grusing's Linked In account says -employed by Chaffee County as special investigator for a homicide investigation. He is also head of Douglas County school security-his full time gig. I would imagine he is upset with the prosecution for mishandling the case after providing so much damning evidence against Barry. I'm ready for charges, a new judge, a new trial, and justice for Suzanne's murder. I think an arrest will happen by end of summer- body recovered or not- with a special prosecutor. MOO

Yes I agree because look at her eyes - BM would refer to them as “ drunk eyes”. He’s not entirely wrong they look “drunk” with love to me. Happy in love eyes is what I see.

I think that's why the photos were taken. I think they're on the banner to goad Barry. Which confirms for me that Barry's still local. A not-so-subtle reminder from LE that they're not letting up. Ratcheting it up rather.

There are few locations that generate as much foot traffic as a Walmart, so I obviously love the placement. The timing is interesting, as why now?

It's been over two years, and it's not around the timing of an anniversary (profilers like Grusing love doing stuff like this on significant dates).

Is this just a matter of keeping the case alive, or is there something more going on?

I'm leaning towards the latter, but encouraged regardless.

I think its also called "alternate facts" in some circles these days ! I don't see any ambiguity only an effort to create the appearance of ambiguity IMO.
We are not talking about fishing here and how big was the fish that you caught ! This is a murder investigation. A time for truth if there ever was one.
That is if you are seeking justice. And if you are innocent. Neither of which BM is. Hence the constant attempts by BM to deliberately make things more confusing in order to conceal the truth. All the lies. IMO
