What's going through IE's head is money and fame. She wants both at any cost and thinks BM is her ticket.

I found it repulsive when they kissed in the parking lot after the case was dismissed. Ewwww, gross.

MOO

I agree that is why she is doing it ... but does she never stop to think?

The guy is a cold blooded killer

Especially no women are safe around him. IMO.

BM is literally taunting the State of Colorado about a murder case where he remains the main suspect.
He must be supremely confident in his ability to get rid of a body.

Which is a huge tell.

Only the person who knows where she is can project such self-smug confidence.

Barry Morphew, 55, again insisted he was “absolutely not” involved in his wife’s disappearance even as authorities told ABC News he remains a suspect despite charges being dropped just before his trial.
[…]

Sources insisted to ABC News that Barry Morphew remained under suspicion. The murder charges were dropped without prejudice, meaning he was not cleared and they can be filed again.

Barry Morphew was asked about officials believing “they had their guy” with “a mountain of evidence against” him.

“They’re wrong,” he replied firmly.

“They’ve got tunnel vision and they looked at one person. And they’ve got too much pride to say they’re wrong and look somewhere else,” he said.
[…]

Still, he acknowledged the possibility of fresh charges. “I was innocent the first time they arrested me, so I’m sure it’s possible,” he said.

Tunnel vision! Ha!

Barry created the tunnel.

Are they a couple?
I have my suspicions - speculation only.
IMO Iris may fancy a rough and tumble/ lying snake/bad boy cowboy type. Barry may be enamored with a fancy lady lawyer to keep him out of jail /but most of all perhaps her earning potential is what is most attractive. They deserve each other IMO. Oh the games and the drama lol - JUSY MY OPINION

I wonder how her daughters live without her in their lives. I simply can't believe they don't care what happened to their mother, but I can believe they're being bought by their father. Sad.
It is really concerning about the two supportive daughters. They're victims but it's interesting seeing the support given to their father. jmo

Yes they know a whole lot more about the marital dynamics than we ever will.

Around the 2:30 mark they’re asked if anything was amiss leading up to SM’s disappearance. BM (imo) clearly nods yes, but one of the girls says no and begins talking. I don’t know if BM was nodding acknowledging the question or he was indeed nodding yes, something was amiss. I wish the interviewer would have followed back up with him after the head nod.

Anyway, I see the dynamics with the girls different than most here. Especially with the older daughter. I think they or more MM1 has a lot of control over BM. It’s clearly a close bond, imo, that was in place before SM went missing. I think SM might have felt on the outside of these three. Imo

Maybe they're fearful of him. Between their father and his attorney, they might be doing what they're told to do and SAY. And, inspite of it all, they probably love him. I don't think it's that they think they'll be getting a huge payday, but he's probably supporting them financially. A lot of mixed emotions there, which is the way they come across when talking to the media. They've been left motherless because of their father. I'm sad for them.

It's really common in cases like this. I think it boils down to people just not being able to believe someone they've known their whole lives is capable of something awful like this. People uninvolved in the case are able to look at the evidence against Barry and say "seems pretty clear that he did it." But children will often prioritize their faith that they know their parent over any objective evaluation of the evidence. Believing that law enforcement is unfairly persecuting your father is a lot easier than believing your whole life is a lie and your father is a manipulative narcissist who killed your mother in cold blood.

These young women clearly have been affected by the loss of their mom, and according to the video (imo) as they expressed their feelings it caught (timestamp around 2:25) BM off guard. Quite an interesting reaction, unless I'm making too much of it. moo

I wish the national reporters would ask BM just exactly what Suzanne's bad decisions were.

Doing chemo? Doing drugs? (Excuse me, taking medically prescribed pain meds is not doing drugs.)

The affair, sure, but he claims he knew nuttinboutit, until later. When he just couldn't even believe it. Man, that chemo must have eaten her conscience, huh, Barry? Or...maybe beating cancer for the second time compelled her to take stock of her life and she decided she wanted one without conflict and control. Maybe she felt empowered -- maybe she recovered some of her old self's strength and courage, from someone who knew her back then. Maybe she found marriage to YOU, BM, to be oppressive, exhausting, inauthentic --

But divorce would've made him IMO look bad and that wasn't going to happen.

He preferred being widowed. Details notwithstanding.

Sheesh, he doesn't even say/pretend that he hadn't realized she was unhappy. That would've been believable at least. Nope, he claims they had a perfect, loving marriage...

I guess we should be pleased he didn't burn the photo albums too.

No way of knowing, however, what else he's barried. Alongside the truth...
