Regardless of which cemetery or which plot I have to guess Suzanne will be put to rest in Indiana. With her cancer battles surely end of life discussions were probably had with Barry and those wishes would be honored.
I doubt it. Maybe, but I have zero faith that he would honour her wishes over his own.

I just cannot get my mind around where she was found. I cannot believe he just drove off in that direction and randomly chose that spot, but perhaps he did.
I don't think it was totally random. That area is well known for Elk hunting, something BM was quite obsessed with. I am pretty sure he had been familiar with the surroundings already.

He knew he needed to go away from his 'alibi' area. If she had been found near his job site or near their home, it would look very bad for him. And that was where they would be searching just in case.

I think he decided to go in the opposite direction and remembered the hunting area that was remote and fairly close.

Not yet up to speed with the discussion ... Barry explained his erratic phone movement in the house, near the time of last proof of life, as shooting squirrels inside his house. He claims it's a common past-time because they once got into his furnace and it was expensive.

Much later, he provided a .22 caliber altered rifle with a new scope to police. It's the gun he used in May to shoot squirrels. I hope enough of Suzanne's body can be found to determine cause of death. I'm wondering whether he shot her with a tranquilizer dart (found in the bedsheets), carried her to where she was found, shot her with a .22, went home, stripped his daughters bedding (where the tranquilizer dart may have originated), did laundry, did not have time to make the bed before police arrived.

Looks like he sawed the barrel off ?

I'm sure the Salida Morphews would be happier than a clam to have her buried far away. Her grave is likely to become a beacon for those wanting to pay respects to a lady who had to lie dead in a field and get "scattered" for 3 years. Pretty sure her grave, if in Colorado will be a Mother"s Day pilgrimage. Anyway IMO it is up to her offspring to decide if they want her buried near Salida. So we can learn from that.

Imo
My fear is that it is really up to BM himself. And I worry that his urge for total domination overrides any grace, and he will bury her close by and make a circus out of his visits, one daughter in each hand, every mothers day.

Surely even Barry isn't that stupid?
It seems very plausible - that he began to make serious plans to do something to Suzanne - after her text. Asking him to deal with everything in a civil manner. Heck no. Way too much money involved !!! I think that text was the final trigger. I do not think that he knew about JL or their affair at all. I believe that he had his own set of affairs. Other women basically. And in the very end ??? Only one person is still living. WOW. Still playing to the cameras. Latest interview and his sad - sorry - cowling face ??? Rewind to his pathetic Facebook plea when she disappeared. I have actually prayed for years that he would finally confess. Would not that be finally wonderful !!! As heart - wrenching for the girls especially - that would be the truth for them. Finally !!! He may be incarcerated - but they would finally know the truth !!! I imagine that while they support their father - they have deep, silent doubts !!! Praying that Barry can just finally tell the truth

Who puts their phone into airplane mode unless they are flying. I bet BM never did this unless he was traveling by air.
Actually, when you live/visit rural areas with poor cell signal, it's common practice to use "airplane mode" to save your battery. If a phone device is not in airplane mode, your phone will keep refreshing/trying to find a cell signal over and over-- killing your battery.

However, a phone in airplane mode is still able to connect to a Wi-Fi signal for messaging, texts, and even making Wi-Fi phone calls. Nonetheless, BM's use of airplane mode at such odd hours is very strange. We just turn our phones off overnight-- especially if we know that there is no cellular signal. It was well established that the Morphew residence in Maysville did not have cell service but BM had cell service whenever he left home and headed to Salida, Poncha Springs, etc.

On Hwy. 17, turn signs for Saguache County Landfill?
Edited to add relevant post by

@jaeljoh :
" It appears she was "buried" pretty close to Saguache County Landfill signs. That seems well thought out. These signs (one on each side of hwy 17) are between mile marker 112 and 113. Sorry if this was already mentioned. MOO"

@jaeljoh Thx for your post.
Someone may give better description or directions than mine below.
Even on linked map w details, not easy to see the road names or numbers.

On Hwy. 17, where are turn signs for landfill?
For drivers going either north or south on Hwy 17 making a run to the landfill, a logical place to turn is west onto County Road AA.
Then if going to the landfill itself, must turn north onto County Road 55, then east into the landfill.

This map, at Sagauche County website, showing landfill location & town of Moffat may (may not?) be helpful.
That’s my understanding too.

Exactly- there is really no good reason to be looking for an older lady who was hiking 30 miles away in that field where the bones were found. Maybe there is but it isn't obvious. I posted the same earlier because I wonder if this wasn't as much an accidental discovery as it is being presented. Remember that it is very common for LE to search an area with a complete intact body out in the open and miss it after multiple searches. But they walk into this random field and find scattered bones from a high profile case on the first try? OK. Maybe.
This evening I watched a YouTube video uploaded by a retired Law Enforcement Officer. He stated that he believed that the location of Suzanne's remains was provided to LE by a confidential informant. It makes a lot of sense.

Yes, it does make sense.

Interesting.

We seem to have two versions of the mile marker (113 near the Landfill and 103). Both similar kinds of terrain (and not at all the kind of terrain where the searchers actually looked - so maybe Ole Beary isn't so stupid, hard to say).

Took 3.5 years. Way better than 3.5 days or 35 days (for Barry, not okay for Justice).

AA mentions them finding a tranq dart in dryer.View attachment 450088
Needle sheath was claimed to have been found. Dna testing found Suzanne’s and one daughters dna but it was in the dryer for an unknown amount of time as it was found several days after the original search that included the dryer.

I wonder if BM was originally planning to put her in the landfill himself but changed his mind for some reason. Maybe he even drove to the landfill and circled back so if his location was tracked, search efforts would be focused there.

How did they identify Suzanne so quickly? Was it something she was wearing, her hair, her engagement ring? Once they matched her dental records or put a rush on the DNA, it would be fast. But I don’t think they run every body against every missing person in the state, correct? Something pointed to Suzanne right away, I think.

And as we’ve learned location could actually be in totally different direction. Sometimes locals are not accurate in details but I’m often too trusting and still tend to listen.

Reporter Spencer Wilson --CBS/Denver, reported last night that he confirmed SM's dental records were used for positive identification. I've since read today other networks are citing dental records and SM's cancer port.

"It's very hurtful to lose your reputation and your integrity," Barry said.
It was so shocking to hear him make that statement, even having observed the extraordinarily selfish man over a year or so at that time.

A man whose wife and mother of his two miracle daughters has disappeared. And the first hurtful thing he mentions is the harm to his reputation and integrity (the subject of his $15 million lawsuit). It's like Iris is the little horned devil on his shoulders and he has become so accustomed to what she is whispering in his ear that he actually believes, and believes others will believe, her shtick.

That would be a huge game changer!

That's what is bothering me right now.
I feel it's absolutely imperative her remains are returned to her Moorman family but I think bM will claim rights and use it as a circus to promote his innocence etc..
No doubt. BM will never allow Suzanne's remains to be placed beside her mothers. BM doesn't care about her Father's dying wishes. It's such a sad shame. Perhaps someday, after Barry is convicted of her murder, their daughters will move their mom's remains beside their grandmothers.
