She is trying to imply that all those missing people were kidnapped by a lone serial killer. And that is a wild, crazy conspiracy theory, imo.

The area that SM's remains were found is known dump site for dead bodies. There is no reason to believe they were all killed by the same person.

In LA County we have the Angeles Forest and the high desert in Bakersfield where lots of bodies are dumped. They were not dumped by one or 2 killers. They were dumped there because it is a remote area on the edge of a crowded region. Much like Moffat area.
Not only that, but the lady they are looking for probably wasn't even murdered. This is one very strange serial killer, especially when you consider the victimology differences. I just want to know why got rid of Suzanne's journal, and how he got Barry to tell all those lies, and get the chipmunks, deer, elk, bear, coyote, and dead turkey to cooperate...

It was reported that investigators were out there for three days and found all they could. If so, they can’t babysit the area. And their search ended before it was announced publicly that Suzanne was found. They have what they need and aren’t talking.

edited for clarity

This is how it appears to me ... LE is playing it smart and they are NOT showing their cards. All must be onboard because nothing was leaked.

Eh, BM...he had everything, a beautiful house, a wife that suited him to a T, two girls, even game to shoot all around. He could have absolutely normally, civilly divided it in a divorce. Given that he is decent-looking, working, not an addict, he would have found a nice woman like SM and probably be settled now. Instead, think where all these money went.
Except that you don't get to "divide" inheritance in Colorado...it is equitable distribution state. So bear-bear would likely maaaaybe get 1/2 the house and then 1/2 of his business. Big ego/pretender guys like BM...that does not work for them.

As insane as that theory is to us, there are people out there that will eat it up. It's actually not a bad play on her part, as I'd guess that a large percentage of people will actually entertain this theory, as they just don't know any better. We've followed this case from the beginning, so we know the facts. Some people just watch too much fictional tv.

Would it be possible that LE searched the area because they were tracking Barry? Barry may have repeatedly gone back to visit ..
They have said that wasn't the case. They were supposedly searching for another missing person. IMO

Pix of Puma Path House?
^requested in a post by @minusfour
@minusfour

The 45 house pix NOW on redfin.com show copyright year "2020" and PPML. Imo BM's r/e agent submitted these to MLS when he listed it. It sold in Mar. 2021.
This is at link @charminglane :) posted and likely will prove helpful to you.

I don't know if it matters to your review, but ---
There are other sets of Puma Path pix.

The media thread may have a link to another realty website showing (possibly different) set of house pix when listed by BM.

I've also seen pix showing house from 2018 MLS listing, when owners prior to Morphews put house on mkt. Sorry no link.

The 23 pix NOW at realtor.com show a copyright year-stamp of 2015 and also include a bedroom/playroom for a young (pre-school or grade school?) child. That site also shows prop. was listed for sale in April 2015.

Cuomo on NewsNation now discussing the Morphew case.
Playing the infamous Barry ‘oh Suzanne’ video.

Sara, a criminal defense attorney is discussing missing pieces on the case.
3 theories: strangulation, firearm or tranq dart.
Avid Hunter.

David Aronberg, attorney, discussing the DNA in car doesn’t help prosecution. Need his dna under her fingernails or something.

”chipmunk defense is bogus“
”why phone in airplane mode”

Cuomo is indicting prosecutors for not turning over exculpatory evidence.

ugh.
Maybe I am missing something or not understanding but I've seen this a few times from commentators..why does everyone think that DNA in her car is so important and like this defense attorney says "doesn't help prosecution". How do they think it ties into her murder? Are they just not really following the case from the beginning? Personally I think its irrelevant.. If she got "kidnapped" while riding her bike..there would be no reason for the killer to find his way back to her house and into her car searching for something. Her credit cards were left in the car (according to the AA)

Cuomo needs to turn the page then keep his eyes open because that and much more will be turned over.

I just learned from Nancy Grace's guest that the hyoid bone is among the most difficult to locate when remains have been dispersed. It's an inarticulated bone, meaning it's not connected to other bones. I guess it just floats....holds the tongue in place.

Please let there be enough of her remains to reveal cause/manner/method of death.

JMO

All due respect, why are you so obsessed with the hyoid bone?

Part of me agrees that he may have moved her there later sometime. But then again, they had their eyes on him big time after she went missing. So IDK?
again I just think he's too lazy but maybe. I also think he shot her with the tranquilizer and then killed her in the house. Remember the broken door frame? Unless that was from a previous time ( and what would that say?) he was M-A-D. not sure he has guts to strangle her, but if that dart got her he could easily sit on her and put a pillow over her face.
To me he's a lazy, selfish coward....just look what he is putting those two lovely young girls through.
Anyhow, I pray there is justice for Suzanne and that BM rots in jail. I'm afraid the daughters will still cling to him though.

This is a nice thought and all but it seems like a lot of residents of Moffat reported that’s where CBI was digging ‘waste deep’

But also, low key annoying they would leave their trash out there. Doesn’t make much sense to me.
Folks in town may well have had a rough idea, but if they weren't allowed down that road, LE could simply place the crime tape a few yards away and no one would be the wiser. Though I've seen photos of the crime scene tape, I don't see evidence on the ground, i.e. churned around.

Why wasn't this search completed before they released that she was found? These people just love giving Iris ammo.

They probably were looking for more remains. The remains seem to have been scattered. In the meantime, they had the dental evidence and knew the identity. I'm not sure why this would give anyone ammo?

I’m sorry, but Snagglepus, the mountain lion, is by no means exculpatory evidence. That being said, I wouldn’t have minded if they put him on the stand during the prelim.

That's what is bothering me right now.
I feel it's absolutely imperative her remains are returned to her Moorman family but I think bM will claim rights and use it as a circus to promote his innocence etc..
Hope he is re-arrested before her remains are returned to her loved ones, and at least one of her daughters is released from her father's control. The girls must be questioning some of his behavior, but maybe their afraid of of BM?

If Suzanne’s death is determined to be a homicide, they may wait to announce it - first making sure they have one solid eye on BM’s whereabouts.
I know what you mean about waiting for an official announcement, but what else could it be but homicide? She's in a shallow grave 40 miles from home.

You aren’t missing anything. The short story is that IE made a huge deal out of the generally misunderstood DNA, turned the judge, and it was part of the undoing of the prosecution’s case.

That’s my own opinion and layman’s version from the peanut gallery. There are entire threads of analytical discussion about it in great detail.

here is what I have in my notes. Taken from early articles.

CBI agents located human remains (dry bones found in a shallow grave (3 ft. deep) in a dry field of sagebrush on east side of Saguache County) in the area of Moffat in Saguache County (which is 45 miles south of Salida) near mile marker 113 on Hwy 17 on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 during an unrelated investigation (CBI was searching for 55-year-old Edna Quintana who had gone missing in the region on May 3, 2023) . The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified the remains as Suzanne Morphew (dental records & her cancer port) on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023.

Does this look correct? Had to skip a few posts... do not have all day to read the 300 plus since last night! :D
Linked newscast has them walking the ground next to tattered crime scene tape at Mile Marker 103. South of Moffat.

I've linked the intersection of 17 and Road 'R' (linked below) ... white house up the road matches with footage / stop sign / dead end sign /phone poles/ fence posts etc.

I just hope he wasn’t such a coward that he tranquilizer her and then buried her alive. But some part of me can see him rationalizing this in some way and thinking he didn’t kill her but left her alive….albeit 3 feet underground.

True. The manner of death would seem to have to be homicide. Would someone stage an accident or suicide to be a murder, then bury a body? Unlikely, but I still wonder about Caylee Anthony.

I am worried that the cause of death might be undetermined.

Any time someone brings up that DNA, I want to throw something. I say this because if they understood the reality, they wouldn’t mention it at all.

A partial profile so degraded that it couldn’t be entered into CODIs without performing a “keyboard search,” which is a manual process. CODIS only has criminals, so you’re bound to find a few matches when you’re only looking at a small sequence. It had almost certainly been there a while.

Not to mention the location of the DNA, which fits into no scenario. Sure was nice of the offender to reach into the car, touch the dash, take nothing (cash, credit cards), and then leave.

That’s the downside of how sensitive this technology now is.
