Why did SM send a message "Get Hot Tub stuff" and later the Hot Tub stuff was discovered in her own RR? Doesn't make sense to me.
...and in the photo I recall seeing this purchase seems to be just chucked into the car. That's a demonstrable Barry move.
Where in Hades are the receipts?!? Dates/times/ signature all vital.
Good grief Charles Brown!

Can anyone shoot down my hypothesis? -- that Barry went to get the pizza, did in fact make all those stops, but without Suzanne, and yet in her vehicle.

Do we have any evidence that Suzanne herself was anywhere near the pizza place, spa store, work sites?

If I could make a wager -- Barry drove her vehicle last and I wish you we could wayback it in search of seat/mirror positions.

It's my understanding that the message to JL said (per the PH) something like, "He's gone for a bit." This implies that Suzanne was at home and Barry has gone to get pizza.

IMO.
....Or that Barry just stepped out of the bleeding car to wait-in-line for the bleeding pizza! Infatuation is IMPATIENT. LIKE ME!
Oy!

You're right. My own experiences with a (former) controlling husband led me to value covert communication very much (no cell phones back then, though). I remember nights when I fled to a house of one of his friends for safety (they knew him; they admired him; they sympathized with me).

What a woman wants when she's leaving an abusive relationship is...any support she can get. For many of us, we also do not wish overt harm to our (abusive) spouses. We just want to leave.

IMO.

If Suzanne had not communicated with JL & SO on Saturday, I would have thought that Barry murdered Suzanne on Friday night. That last week of Suzanne’s life is hard to make sense of. They were “done”, yet Suzanne talked about going for a hike together. Apparently they had Moonlight Pizza together. I remember there was a house for sale that was discussed. Suzanne confided in her sister, she was ready to move on. I know that it’s not necessary to have a plausible story for a jury to follow in order to get a conviction, but this is all hard to follow. Yup, Barry did this, but I would like some holes plugged.

Agreed

So much weirdness

I so wish we had the RR telematics and her phone records
Did not we [NOT ME!] ascertain that the RR had no telematics?
Or if it did, these were inadequate for tracking/sensing purposes?
So...
Would not said circumstance augur well for the notion that in a pinch the RR would be optimal for the BM's 'Moffat Meadowlands - Models to Open Soon!" odyssey?
Oy II !
[Apologies to all. I must eat more regularly. A mere bagel and cream cheese this am...]

The old RR = pre GPS.

Exactly therefore she can't have taken a pic of him, standing in line at the Pizza place.

That Suzanne is waiting in a car, while BM in plain sight is getting Pizza (pre-ordered by phone?), and tells JL, that the husband is gone for a bit, would be strange also. It would be misleading for JL because of the very minimal time, they would have to communicate. - But who knows: maybe they both found it exciting to use even a few minutes?

YES ! ! YOU ARE SO SPOT-ON ! !

It was dark outside so in CO on May 8th 2020 the sunset was at 8:28 pm.
Something sticks in my memory. Remember SD making it a point to say how much she looked like Suzanne?

Was that SD sitting in the passenger seat of Barry's vehicle that night when he picked up the Moonlight Pizza? A female silhouette after dark (pardon the pun)?

Hmmm

I'm a little fuzzy on the timing of SD's comment. At the time, I thought it was an odd comment to make. Anybody else remember that comment?

I am not sure if DailyMail is an approved website but nothing new here..just an opinion by a forensic specialist.

Suzanne Morphew's remains make it 'very hard' for spouse to clear name

But I do have a question about that one picture with the FBI standing around. It's labeled " A group of investigators search near where Suzanne Morphew's remains were found in late September". Is that an old picture? I can't seem to figure out where they are standing at with those vehicles in the background.
I think this might be one time The DM got it absolutely right.

I recall it, plus much related discussion.

I never thought she was making a passing association or even a generous boast.

I've wondered similarly if she wasn’t trying to distance herself from knowing Barry prior to MD. As in, that wasn't me. That was Suzanne. People say we look alike but *ahem* I wasn't swapping Bible verses with Barry back then.

Wednesday night's walk by the dumpsters.... Barry and his deer-blamed zipper....

I have my suspicions.

Mentioned this upthread -- I think that's an archived photo from a search in September, 2020.

Yep! Per AA, they haven't been completed yet . Not sure if anything came out of the preliminary hearing.

I know we said it before.. but I do find it really strange that Barry got rid of her RR so fast.

  • Now, a forensic expert says the condition of her remains makes it unlikely that her husband, Barry Morphew, will be able to clear his name
The title says one thing, but the article sounds less optimistic ?
At least they have her remains, and the flurried amount of activity via Barry in that time frame, seems much more than just a 'red flag'; imo.

Eta @SteelCity91 ; Thanks, you beat me to it, :) yes, it's an approved source, & the links are the same.
So thankful Suzanne was found.
Hoping there will be useable evidence.

Or SM is alone in her RR waiting on BM while he's in line to collect the pizza and salads on Friday night.

I think you (and others) are probably right. It looks like a grainy cell phone picture shot from inside a vehicle (to me).

So...Barry waiting in line is a kind of reprieve for Suzanne and she can communicate with someone she likes.

I wonder what Barry is doing on his phone.

I do remember her making an unnecessay point about that.

From the Daily Mail article:

”Forensics specialist Joseph Scott Morgan, a Jackson State University professor, said a significant amount of DNA evidence will have been lost from Suzanne's remains - making it harder to define whether or not her death was a result of any wrongdoing.

Well, if you ask me, how can it NOT be the result of wrongdoing?? She didn’t bury herself! Sheesh.

They drove separate vehicles on Friday night. Suzanne supposedly met Barry at his job site then they stopped to pick up pizza IIRC
Even this sounds fishy to me now.
