Don't know what they hope to achieve other than an attempt to delay another arrest.
Judge Domenico found that Chaffee Sheriffs office, FBI and prosecution had met the legal standard to make the arrest of Barry. He also found that despite Barry's claims of what he and Iris felt were misleading/not included there was still  more than enough to meet probable cause. Even a simple person like myself can see that ffs. I'm beginning to think Iris is making this a personal mission, this is no longer a professional duty, it's bordering on career suicide for her.

I hope that you are right and it IS career suicide for Iris.

Is she doing all of this pro bono? I am hoping that Barry runs out of money soon. Speaking of which, what is he doing for a job? Is he working odd jobs?

Just the fact that IE is NOT a member of the 10th Circuit (UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE TENTH CIRCUIT) and had to be placed on notice to make application or be struck from BM's case, is sufficient proof for me that she's all smoke and mirrors. And IE's been blind to Suzanne from day one. It's not about justice for IE, it's about winning. JMO

All about winning. A competition. Suzanne has been forgotten.
They should give BM over to us who know how to swing a bat. Guess Patrick Frazee taught us something. These very stupid men who cannot stand to lose and then a wealthy one finds an attorney who cares more about winning than the loss of human life. Could you dislike her or BM more? At least PF is where he should be.

Maybe IE and BM got closer than just Attorney/Client during all their time together??? Ewwww, gag, pfffft. <puke emoji>
Sorry for putting that horrible picture in your minds, but stranger things have happened. LOL

Sorry, but as much as I wish it otherwise:
-No arrest is forthcoming;
-just 'dad's' suicide note;
-addressed to Suzanne's miracle babies;
-'praying' for their forgiveness for such a selfish act;
-but thinking it preferable for them to be angry for leaving them in this way;
-than for them, in a golgotha gallery, to witness the passion of his judicial crucifixion.

IMO: A self-obsequious bustard* to the end.

He isn’t going to kill himself. Not him.

She's a pricey lawyer isn't she. Hope she charges by the minute.
I thought I'd read somewhere that she was stepping away from this as she had recieved threatening letters? Around the time the case was dismissed by Domenico?
Barry's probably offering himself and his Bobcat for furniture removals and disposal (in a dug hole) . What a vision.

Is he ever going to be re-arrested? I’m losing hope again.
If they can tie up the lose ends I suspect they will try again. I think they need to get him placed in Moffat with some certainty and we also know nothing about the other evidence where she was found. The BAM is a big piece since it's not a common drug combination, but we have heard really nothing else about anything else. But I do not think they are in a big hurry to attempt again.

Absolutely he is Knox, please don't loose the faith. The new DA is getting their case against him as full proof as possible. I hope that BM will be rearrested by Mothers Day 2025. :) Chimpmunks, mountain lions, deer and all of God's creatures will be rejoicing.

Former Morphew case prosecutor sued by Freemont County, asked to return $112,000 of taxpayers' money

When processors found her, Linda Stanley threw the complaint in the dirt.

The era of former Morphew case prosecutor Linda Stanley may be over, but three of the four counties she oversaw in the 11th Judicial District are getting the last word.

Fremont, Chaffee and Custer counties filed a lawsuit against Stanley, asking a judge to force her to return nearly $112,000 of taxpayers' money that she used to pay her legal fees. The fourth county in the 11th, Park County, is the only entity that did not join in the lawsuit.

It took nine days to serve the lawsuit because Stanley was living in a remote cabin in Park County,
according to an affidavit obtained by The Denver Gazette. When processors located her this past Saturday, denied who she was and threw the paperwork into the dirt, Fremont County Commissioner Kevin Grantham confirmed.

To date, Stanley has not answered the complaint. It asks her to repay $330,000 — three times the money she spent defending herself in an ethics investigation. The inflated amount is being sought because the county is allowed to seek damages.

Denver Gazette story. Wording?

@MassGuy Thx for the update.

Per DG story, the lawsuit "... asks her to repay $330,000 — three times the money she spent defending herself in an ethics investigation. The inflated amount is being sought because the county is allowed to seek damages. "

Not sure which section of CO. law is the basis for lawsuit, but imo likely the specific section authorizes treble damages for allegedly "misappropriating public funds for personal use."

Seems story should have been worded, "the county is allowed to seek TREBLE damages" (<-- my CAPS).

And if so, then the amount being sought is higher but NOT "inflated" which generally means "excessively or unreasonably high."

Not commenting on the merits of the lawsuit, just the wording of reporter or editor at DG.

Putting my editor's blue pencil down for the night. ;)

Also from the article:

New documents obtained by The Denver Gazette's news partners 9NEWS show Stanley had been long gone from her job as DA, even before she actually lost her job.

It was so bad, incoming DA Lindsey submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court about Stanley’s work ethic.

Stanley was elected as District Attorney for the 11th Judicial District in November 2020 and assumed office in January 2021.

“She has not been seen in the office since early Spring of 2024,” Lindsey wrote.

“The state of the office is currently chaotic and there is no hope it will improve,” he added.

Stanley did not respond to a request for comment.

Wishing everybody a safe and healthy joyous 2024 Holiday week! Cheers... xx

I'm enjoying some quiet time this evening and in reading Chapter 7 of Matt Murphy's "The Book Of Murder," he cites some applicable stats regarding domestic violence deaths but I particularly liked the following quote, and wanted to share the same:

American 1950s Beat Generation author William S. Burroughs -- who, in fact killed his second wife in a death later ruled to be manslaughter-- once famously said, "No one owns life, but anyone who can pick up a frying pan owns death." He wasn't wrong.

It is estimated that in 2021, 34 percent of female murder victims were killed by an intimate partner. Given all the cases I saw, I would have guessed the number was much higher.

Hey all,

Wishing everyone a healthy, happy, love and laughter filled season's greeting. Hope you all get to spend the festive period with those nearest and dearest to you ♥
For Suzanne and her loved ones, wishing for justice to be number 1 on prosecution list - they've waited long enough.
For Barry, I'm wishing for an iron cage.
For Iris, am wishing that santa brings her some flipping sense.

Dear Websleuths Members and Guests,
It is truly hard to fathom the gut wrenching pain people feel who don't know what happened to their missing loved ones. Especially this time of year. What's so frustrating is there are hundreds if not thousands of unidentified bodies/remains all over the country waiting to be tested but because of budget issues no testing is taking place. Their families are suffering waiting to find out what happened to their loved ones. You can help those families get the answers they deserve and, at the same time, make sure those obnoxious ads stay off of Websleuths.com. Become a monthly subscriber to DNA Solves.com. The amazing people at DNA Solves work night and day to identify the missing.
