There was quite abit with the snippets of data we saw that bothered me from the first time we saw it. The biggie is there is nothing that showed he turned left in the early AM onto Hwy. 50...the elk story was something he claimed when Grusing said he had data that showed he turned left but we didn't see that left turn in the defense data exhibits. So is it there or not there? I was bothered by doors that seemed to indicate they shut but nothing that said they opened...little things. I was looking forward to at least the trial which might have had more comprehensive data. If that is everything defense got...then I suspect something was held back by prosecuction in discovery...BUT I believe defense had more than what they used in the preliminary and probably had everything. The motions mostly related to not receiving the Range Rover data and not that they were missing data from Barry's vehicle.

You might not get anything if there is no logged event.

In other words the GPS is tracked continuously, but only saved into a specific logged event or perhaps into a route mapping application. As there has been no mention of route mapping, either the truck didn't support this, or BM was not using the function somehow.

There is something very off about the defence exhibit the more I look at it.

It's partial, just like the DNA non-match in the glove box. It's unfortunate the judges couldn't differentiate between evidence and smokescreens

The judge wouldn’t need to “guess” if prosecution had everything ready before the arrest or at least the preliminary. I won’t blame a judge for a poor prosecution. Given what he knew and was presented to him he sent it to trial just said there was not proof positive. That was the right thing to do.

I wouldn't expect this level of detail to be covered in the prelim - we need the full exhibit of the data plus the analysis. Not a small excerpt relating to some defence point.

Anyone seen this hearing before?

Maybe about the voter fraud case? Was there also a separate case for something about one of the guns being illegal? Not sure why that is tickling my (poor) memory...

Definitely not the voter fraud case, as this is under the murder case docket.

Nope -- those cases were heard in Chaffee County. This is linked to the murder case slated for trial in Fremont County (Canon City). Possibly seeking the return of evidence or unfinished business. It's not lost on me that this hearing will be with a new Judge (not Lama) but we know that IE is good at that. JMO

Don’t know about unfinished business but can he legally seek the return of evidence?
Isn’t the case against him still open?
If IE was able to have ANY evidence returned to the murderer, doesn’t that destroy the future filings against him?

This new hearing, would it have something to do with the influencing a public official charge at all?

Just nice to see some movement surrounding the murder...thanks for the info

In April I remember a statement from authorities saying they were close to finding her remains but had to wait for the snowpack to melt, and then I never saw an update. Anyone have any info?

IMO, defense counsel is good at asking for things. Doesn't mean she's going to get what she asks for. Actually, more like demanding things. JMO

Gravy Train:

Gravy train is an American term, dating back to the early 1900s. It is popularly believed to have originally been a railroad term, referring to a train run that paid well with little effort on the part of the crew.
Barry Morphew = The train run that pays well
IE = The crew

JMHO naturally :p

IMO . I believe the murder case has been reopened as of 8/16/2022. Is that possible without the public knowing?

Why that date specifically?

I really hope so. I want to see Suzanne get justice
