I wonder if LE looked Barry’s hands/arms/face/body over - real up close and personal like on the evening of May 10? Someone enlarged screenshots of 1 of Barry’s hands from the Tyson Draper interview. There appeared to be some swelling & maybe a cut. I’m sure FBI & CBI would be able to get stills from that video & examine closeups. I pray she didn’t know what happened. I can’t think about her knowing it was him killing her. My mind won’t go there. Calling it a night. Sleep tight. :)

I own a hot tub and can say that the way I drain it is to use a small pump to pump the old water out (which I just pump into my yard) - that takes maybe 45 minutes (I used have a a larger pump that did it in half that time). That always leaves some water still in the tub, so to get all of it out and cleaned, you'd need a large sponge and several towels. This would likely take more time than actually pumping the water out. To refill the hot tub with a standard garden hose takes maybe 90-120 minutes.
I'm skeptical the hot tub is in play - but if it is, every hot tub has a filtering system, so presumably no matter how well BM tried to clean it, if it was where a crime was committed, the filters would likely contain evidence. It's possible to replace those filters, but usually one wouldn't just have spare filters laying around - they last for a long time and typically you'd just clean them when you refill the tub. MOO.

BBM If the water source is a well, the filling time would depend on the gallons per minute the will produces.
I'm skeptical about the hot tub being in play as well. The shower or bath tub makes more sense.

I just wonder whether the black RR was even there the night that LE came for the initial call. Somewhere back in time I remember an inference that the cars present that night could be important. Obviously BM is very cunning and manipulative. Could he have kept that car (black RR) enough out of the picture for the time being ? Saying that it was being used or belonged to one of the girls and using that to explain where it was around this time of Suzanne's disappearance. It sure seemed important to Chris in his video to talk about it and to rather make a call out to who owned it now in Indiana. Stating ' You know who you are.'

Seriously ?? BM sells the black RR only 3 weeks after Suzanne goes missing and to someone in Indiana ?? Plenty of folks with means around Salida - or in Colorado in general - who could have snatched up a good sale on a RR !! Especially if he needed the money fast. Maybe he had a good line on someone who would want to buy it from him in Indiana. Still !! Why was that even a concern at that point ?? His precious wife had been abducted !!! He is spinning in lies and trying to cover tracks. And behind the scenes ?? IMO - getting rid of evidence.

Yes, this was indeed a great video with lots of good, interesting information. That trailer of Barry’s full of packed boxes etc., looks like it was packed haphazardly by someone scatterbrained and disorganized wanting to get outta dodge in a hurry. The Beverly Hillbillies analogy is definitely fitting.
At any rate, kudos to Chris for fulfilling the promise he made to Gene Moorman that he’d never give up on Suzanne. He is keeping Suzanne’s name in the spotlight, digging into everything, determined to see Suzanne receive her due justice. I finally caught on that he can be cryptic and facetious at times, and think he definitely has some inside info and been careful about what he shares to not interfere with the integrity of the investigation.
I like Mike King too and enjoyed when Chris was Mike’s recurring guest on PE until he branched out on his own. It was always interesting watching the dynamic between the 2 on PE. They obviously have 2 very different styles, and I think of them kinda like the brains (Mike) polished, pensive, calm, cool, collected, and the the brawn (Chris), excited kid on Christmas morning, chomping at the bit, fierce interrogator, potential loose cannon lol, that might need to be “reeled in” every so often.
I think Chris definitely has to work a little harder than Mike to keep himself “in check”, if that makes sense. Not to say I don’t think Chris is smart, he obviously is very intelligent to get to where he is today. It’s just a way in my mind I compare the 2 gentleman. They are both esteemed former LE with impressive credentials, track records. Persistent, tenacious, dogged and determined to get justice for victims. I have the utmost respect for both of them for their passion, steadfastness, resolve. Chris is traveling now and literally boots on the ground, good for him.

I’ll admit it did take me a little while to warm up to Chris at first, and I can see why people get annoyed with him after calling out LE during Andy’s search which IMO emotions were running high and may have been some miscommunication and Chris jumped the gun calling out LE without knowing all the details/having them correct, and for hyping up his “interview” with Barry only for viewers to hear Barry hang up on him. Argggh. Personally, I’ve forgiven Chris and let it go as IMO, nobody’s perfect and he does more good than not. The video last night featuring his wife Karen as co-host was very informative. I had heard him mention his wife Karen in some of his other videos, but didn’t realize she’s a former crime reporter/journalist. They seem to be a good team and doing good work together pursuing justice for victims.

To make this idea even more interesting, the woman who was shown in the photos hanging out with Barry and grabbing Mexican food, pictured recently in the Daily Mail, is the same woman who now owns Suzanne's black RR, if I'm not mistaken. (I could be. I might have my red-heads mixed up.) Imo, that is why Chris said "you know who you are."

IMO MOO - In CM’s last 2 Live videos, and factoring in the deep dive video into BM’s background that he did, I get the sense CM is alluding to BM having “serial” tendencies.

Since his childhood days, BM is very comfortable with tracking, hunting, killing, skinning, cleaning large wildlife as a passionate life-long hobby. Wildlife often times much larger and heavier than say, a 115lb woman. Plus he picked up more value-added skillsets volunteering as a firefighter and being a degreed landscaper. Add to it what we now know and continue to learn about BM’s personality, character and harsh upbringing by his Father’s hand, and you easily have a recipe for someone who likely has been around the block a couple times, possibly building up or practicing his...craft.

We now know that BM was an addicted true crime fan. There was also mention at one point by Mike King that LE was looking into presumable activity on the black web by BM. Nothing good ever comes from that. It may have been crime related, sex related maybe. Plus there is all of BM’s very obvious odd behavior and actions in the last year. To me it easily adds up to a particular profile that CM is alluding to. I feel CM’s experience and trained eye are easily sizing up BM’s true nature and behavioral pattern. In the majority of instances, the signs are there since childhood and CM is making us aware of his assessment little by little with information nuggets.

I further believe this with Chris releasing the hillbilly packed-up moving photo to show that BM was eager to get out of dodge...running from something, possibly a situation that was starting to catch up to him, out of his control or starting to shine too much light in his direction. He hastily was leaving behind his and his wife’s childhood home and family without the complete consent of his wife and to the confusion of his community, extended family & friends.

It’s also very telling that in the last year, BM has uncharacteristically refused to be on camera, have his voice recorded or appear in person at publicized events. IMO he is hiding from something or someone that is very damning to some sort of past wrong-doing BM may have committed.

I can’t wait to see what is in the AA and then the details that will be divulged at trial. It’s always fascinating to peer into the deranged mind and lifestyle of the egotistical criminal.

Maybe the landscaping biz was not his main source of income:
His early and lifelong experience in killing and / or the processing of carcass maybe led to a more lucrative yet criminal source of income?
Or involved in some kind of illegal trafficking?
Lots of possibilities if you know the wrong people.
JMO and sorry if this has already been discussed at length.

I believe he has money hidden in his daughters name. Barry probably thinks he’s getting out and doesn’t want to waste his money on a trial attorney.

You should watch this video streamed yesterday. CM knows more about this case other then LE, he has many connections he’s a former homicide detective. Him and his wife a journalist went to Indiana and Salida interviewed many of Barry’s friends growing up and people that new him. They told a story of what he did to his pet raccoon which doesn’t surprise me. They know all about his finances. Now that he’s been arrested he posted never seen before video and photos. He drove past BM’s house the night before he was arrested. BM’s truck was towing another truck and a loaded up trailer parked in front, oddly all the windows were opened up they saw Barry looking out the windows surveying the front like he was paranoid appears he was getting ready to flee. He was arrested in the morning.

Thanks for the link. I don’t usually watch the videos ( poor internet reception) but this one sounds especially worthwhile.

I know, right! Made me get chills. The fact Barry could kill and skin a “pet raccoon” as a kid grabbed my attention too. The reason for skinning it was to sell the skin for money! OMG.

That is truly disturbing and indicates a coldness and disconnect from a young age. I personally could never hunt, but I don’t have a problem with people who hunt for food and use as many parts of the animal as they can. I do have a problem with trophy hunters and fur trappers. But I have no words for or comprehension of someone who can skin a pet. That is horrifying and sociopathic to me.

Re: Alexa

Usually we need to say Alexa (or Google or Siri, depending which device the home has) prior to a request. To get the device's attention, turn it 'on'.

Which led me to questions.

- Does screaming turn the device on, or only screaming that could sound like the device name?
- Does the device say anything back ... like "I don't understand" "Do you need help?" "What the heck is all that screaming about?" "Do you want me to call 911?"
- Does the device quietly record all the time, not just when its name is said?
- Is the device programmed to turn on if there are sounds of anguish?

On Friday, I watched the 20/20 episode on mother Gretchen Anthony. She tried to scream for 911 through her Alexa device but it didn't work because you have to program it through your Alexa device in order for it to work. I guess they were able to get the data through her device and found out that she tried to scream for help. I found that very interesting.

May 10, 2021

A year ago today Suzanne Morphew - a beautiful women inside and out - was reported missing. It’s a sad anniversary.

The day which should have been a day to honor Suzanne as a mother became a day when family and friends had to hear she is nowhere to be found.

A monster has cut her life short and made her remains disappear denying her family and friends the possibility to say goodbye and to be able to lay her to rest with dignity.

It’s a long road ahead, but with each day we are one day closer to the punishment of the responsible party. Let’s hope the case against BM is strong and he will get punished for what he did.

Hopefully after trial and conviction the road to healing can begin.
Although a conviction won’t bring Suzanne back, it might help everybody affected find some peace in knowing he did not get away with it.

There is a lot of love coming from a Moorman family towards M & M, maybe one day they will realize this and will reconnect with them in honor of their mother.
I wish everybody affected strength to get through this.

I now also think about BM’s mother and family and feel for them. This must be so difficult and confusing for them too. How can one comprehend something horrible like this was done by the son, brother, uncle they love?

Dear Suzanne, fly high and feel free at last! RIP

IMHO

Beautiful post @Orgona! It touched me & I feel the same emotions.

Oh gosh, can you imagine? I had no idea her lymphoma was connected to golf courses, but not surprised. #chemicals
Ummmm I live beside a golf course and have not heard of this cancer connection. Scared to Google it. Still catching up on all the great posts from yesterday. My daughter is still in the hospital :( so I’ll be there again all day today. Thanks for your prayers. You guys are amazing! xo

The most incriminating evidence at trial will be M and M. IMHO SUPER MOO! BM FALSELY told them he did it...nobly - at SM’s cancer-pain motivated request, out of love, not withstanding the legal risk to himself

I’m so intrigued in what BM told his daughters. The family appears to have liquidated Suzanne’s personal items (her clothing and her car), and seemingly went on with their daily lives very soon after Suzanne’s disappearance. Never searching or attending vigils or memorials even when personally invited to by friends. It really makes one wonder what Barry told his daughters?

Colorado End-of-Life Options Act

In 2016, Colorado voters approved Proposition 106, “Access to Medical Aid In Dying,” which amends Colorado statutes to include the Colorado End-of-life Options Act (hereinafter “Act”) at Article 48 of Title 25, C.R.S. The Act:

  • Allows an eligible terminally ill individual with a prognosis of six months or less to live to request and self-administer medical aid-in-dying medication in order to voluntarily end his or her life,
  • Authorizes a physician to prescribe medical aid-in-dying medication to a terminally ill individual under certain conditions, and
  • Creates criminal penalties for tampering with a person's request for medical aid-in-dying medication or knowingly coercing a person with a terminal illness to request the medication.

In theory, display or sell them.

Unless you're a psycho who has a fixation for antlers.
Lol :D Maybe he was going to make his own antler archway at Chez Barry? The ultimate macho entryway for his new bachelor pad!

Does anyone remember the part of the timeline where JP and MG are called into action? Isn't it Saturday afternoon? Or is MG asked to go to Broomfield on Saturday morning?
RSBM. From my notes, @10ofRods :
BM worked with MG Saturday morning at the “beach” at the Salida dig site.
He seemed anxious and nervous
He ended the workday early (approximately 11:30 am) saying he had to go home to make SM happy and take her hiking or biking.
MG says he was seen shopping all around Salida by himself on Saturday afternoon.
He did not mention the Broomfield job that morning. MG did say that they were supposed to do this repair job a couple of times prior, but it was postponed. It was supposed to be just MG and BM who would do the work.
According to JP he ran into BM on Saturday afternoon in Salida.
BM asked JP if he would be available to do a job in Broomfield and that the pay would be good.
JP did not say that SM was with BM at the time.
On Sunday morning, BM called MG and told her to get a crew together for the Broomfield job.
He told her to include JP.
He told her he would meet them up there. He was going early to do some prep work so they could get an early start on Monday morning.
MG said he called them around 6:00 pm and said he had to leave for a family emergency and that he had left the tools for them to work with.
According to MG, they did not have the proper tools and it looked like he had done “maybe 30 minutes” of work at the Broomfield job site.
Allegedly when they got to the Broomfield hotel room, it reeked of bleach or chlorine, there were a bunch of wet towels on the floor, the bed looked like it had been slept on, not in, and JP found a piece of mail belonging to BM in the trash.

Back when Chris/PE was talking about the cars, I had a theory that I wish I could fully remember.

But it was basically that the cars themselves weren’t important, as they’d all be expected to be at the PP home, but it was how they were parked. My guess is that no cars were parked in the garage and instead they were all parked in the driveway, with the suspicion that BM pulled a vehicle into the garage to load SM’s body covertly, and never parked the cars back in the garage. Perhaps it is odd that a nice black Range Rover that is always in the garage, wasn’t in there when LE showed up.

Somewhat related to that theory is that the pics of the PP home when BM put it up for sale, did not include pics of the garage, mud room entry or kitchen. So it made me feel like those rooms were really important and possible completely torn up by LE.

Strangulation = Clean Scene?
@MsBetsy bbm sbm Yes, agreeing w you that strangulation may leave a bloodless crime scene but does not necessarily leave a "clean" crime scene w no DNA from vic or perp.

1. Involuntary loss of bladder & bowel control may occur during strangulation, both fatal & non-fatal, per this medical evaluation protocol material.* Yes, may, not always. Loss of control may occur within one minute duration of strangling, per page 5 of infographic.
2. In trying to gain control of vic resisting, perp may inflict other injuries on vic who then bleeds,** leaving blood evidence at strangulation scene, possibly in transport vehicle, if used.
3. If vic is able to resist, strangulation scene may have signs of struggle between perp & vic, such as furniture & objects thrown about, in some cases even perp's blood or bodily fluids.

If LE has located the strangulation site, they may have some or all 3 of above. ^ Maybe more. my2ct.

Sometimes a "clean scene" but not always. my2ct.

* pages 1, 5, 10. PHYSIOLOGICAL CONSEQUENCES OF STRANGULATION
Yes, but those things are easier to clean up than blood spatter or large pools of blood that can leak into floorboards or transfer to other objects. It wouldn't take long to put furniture or other items back in place after a struggle.
