I don't see any difference.
I also don't see eyelid surgery.
I think folks assume he's had some vain cosmetic procedures done while being busy not grieving for his missing wife.

If it turns out that he did in fact have these things done, well, no one here will be surprised.
I'm sure a few fellas in prison will be delighted with his attempt to look youthful. Ahem.

I agree and if anything the stress and aging people see on Barry are indicative of stress and living a lie. I too have hooded eyelids and his are worse than mine if possible. Genetic? Maybe? Stress induced? Likely. His one eye in my opinion looks like he may have a sinus infection because it’s clearly swollen. I have in the past had one memorable sinus infection that literally swelled my eye shut. His eye looks inflamed to me.
Not denying he may be vain but I’m seeing something entirely different and just cause for a blepharoplasty procedure in his future. IMO

Barry Morphew accused of voting for missing wife Suzanne Morphew | 9news.com

"I felt I should contact the sheriff when I saw the name," Lori Mitchell, Democratic Chaffee County Clerk told Next with Kyle Clark. "It was stunning to see that ballot in our batches."

The ballot was provided to the sheriff's office and seized as evidence.

It did not have the signature of the voter as required and instead, the affidavit says, the name Barry Lee Morphew was handwritten on the witness line. Even when a witness signs, the voter needs to make a mark on the voter signature area.

Normally what happens when there is no signature or a signature discrepancy, the clerk sends out a letter letting the voter know there is an issue with their signature and they have up to eight days after the election to "cure", or fix, the issue. In 2020, it was nine days because the eighth day was Veterans Day.

Suzanne Morphew was sent one of those letters.

"We still completed our statutory requirement by sending out this cure letter, and no one responded," said Mitchell.

When no one responds, or responds by saying they never filled out a ballot, the clerk is supposed to turn over the sealed ballot envelopes to the district attorney to investigate. With Suzanne Morphew's ballot, the clerk called the sheriff.

"He sent a deputy over, and I made a chain of custody log, turned the ballot over, he bagged and tagged it, but it was sealed when it left my custody," said Mitchell.

Until a signature is verified, the envelope is never opened and the ballot is not counted.

"Sometimes it's an honest mistake. It could be a household switch. But in this case, it couldn't have been a household switch because Mr. Morphew voted his ballot as well," said Mitchell.

The Colorado Secretary of State's Office confirmed for Next with Kyle Clark that Barry Morphew cast his own mail ballot for the November election, the only time he has voted in Colorado.

Sadly, I don’t think his daughters believe he is guilty. They mouthed ‘I love you’ to Barry in court. They have gone from being this picture perfect family to living this never ending nightmare. I pray they get the help they need.

What a dumba$$
OMG
Now that he behind bars, we need to focus on where the heck Suzanne is ??
We need to trace his steps, as much as we can, with what we know, and find her.

Here’s another screen grab posted on Lauren Scharfs Twitter page. It does look like he’s had eyelid surgery after he allegedly killed Suzanne. Cough cough
The right eye looks swollen to me, not like a shadow.
Also, what's in BM's chest pocket?

Changing his appearance so he wouldn’t be recognizable in Arizona, Mexico or wherever, perhaps. I agree he looks totally different. I also thought in his fake “plea” video he looked different from the various pictures that were online. Jmo
He looks thinner and has more wrinkles and bigger bags under his eyes. His face looks leathery from the sun. I think Andy's attempts to get under his skin worked well. The stress over the last year has aged him.

Now if he will only confess and tell LE where Suzanne's body is, it might be a huge burden lifted from his shoulders.

Maybe some of his church friends can convince him, since he claims to be such a religious man.

Looks like a really bad pixelated screen grab from a video to me. I would guess those are reading glasses in his shirt pocket.

I think it’s his yellow disposable face mask

I am still questioning that degree. I need proof.
It is published that they got together while they were both at Purdue and if I recall that was in their wedding announcement. I don’t know if it has been said which degree he had Landscape Management and Construction or Landscape Architecture. It was reported he was also interested in Michigan State which has equivalent programs in both areas but ended up attending Purdue. I believe Suzanne received a teaching degree and did teach for awhile after they married.

Hi @OldCop, no worries! :)
Isn’t that the worst though. I know the feeling. One time after spending a couple hours working on a post, when I had it done/ready to post, my fingers slipped or something and the entire post got wiped out, totally gone, disappeared into the abyss. Ugh, so frustrating. Since then, especially when I post from my iPhone, I type longer posts in my Safari notes first as notes are auto-saved there, and copy/paste works great. Live and learn lol.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts when you get a chance.

Disappointed we didn’t get to read the AA today, but not surprised at all that BM’s team objected to it being unsealed.
Anxiously awaiting 5/27/21.

Okay, @fcavanaugh. I’ll try again to respond to your thoughts with some of my own.

I said I fell on the Friday side of the fence but I forgot to mention that my coattail got caught up on a picket and I’m kinda just dangling here.

Suppose BM hurt SM quite badly during the bad Friday night fight. He knew he was in big trouble if he took her to the hospital. He would be arrested and SM would divorce him for sure.

Suppose he did nothing to help her all night. That was why he was such such a wreck on Saturday morning. He was trying to decide what to do. He left the job site and went home where he found she had died or he went home and finished her off. (Sorry to be so blunt.).

He spent the rest of the day as we discussed.

Going back to the beach area at the Salida job site. If in fact BM was attempting to or had actually buried SM there, I don’t think he would remove her from there because he knew he was seen or heard by a neighbor when she turned her light on. That beach area has been niggling at me since I found out he worked there Friday night and that he had MG rake it out on Saturday morning. If SM wasn’t placed there, I think evidence might have been. I have asked before and I have searched through the photos of the 3 day search at the slab, but I cannot confirm that LE searched down by the beach area. All the photos I have seen show the areas that were cut from the slab and from several areas adjacent to the slab. I wish I knew for certain that they also searched the beach area.

LE must have been very interested to learn that BM was responsible for prepping the area for the concrete pour which I believe took place on 5/11, the day after SM disappeared. That together with the reports of machinery running late at night was probably enough pc for the search warrant.

As far as moving her body if she had been stashed elsewhere, it is true he did a lot of driving back and forth between CO and IN. CM said he sold the black RR to a friend in IN. He also purchased a truck there that he drove back. Who’s to say he didn’t have SM’s body tucked away in a nice big cooler somewhere and put it in the back of the RR so he could dispose of it somewhere in IN or anywhere along the way. Was it CM who also said he has a second Bobcat in IN?

Finally, regarding 24\7 surveillance, it takes a lot of manpower and it is very difficult especially if you are trying to follow someone from one state to another. CCSO has limited resources and while they have been assisted by the FBI and CBI, I’m not sure they could do a 24\7 surveillance over any length of time. We know BM snuck off by himself on Tuesday, just 2 days after SM went missing, to rifle through the trash at the Poncha Market. That was when AM and several IN friends were in town. I wonder how many other nights did he sneak away in those first days and weeks?

Unfortunately, I think that Barry probably has badmouthed Suzanne's relatives for years. The kids may be brainwashed to not like them for totally fictitious reasons.

They believe in their father's guilt. So, that, unfortunately, may drive a bigger wedge between them, not bring them closer.

It is a very tragic situation that crime watchers have seen played out over and over again in families. It seems that the families of the victims that are oftentimes the ones that are ostracized the most. It's something that I've never quite understood.

JMO.
Do we know if Suzanne and her siblings were close before the move to Salida CO. Andy,Melinda and David speak affectionately about Suzanne, but I would like to know if BM was a barrier between them in years prior to move.

I'm skeptical. Look at the difference in position of his eyebrows. I think the differing eyebrow position is what causes his eyelids to look different in each photo. MOO

Was that photoshop? His girls are blocked out as well.
Certainly doesn’t look photoshopped to me. I’ve seen the photo without the girls cropped out.

You are right.
MOO If buried it will have to be somewhere he has been before at least once.
Moving her body around? Moving a body would have worked for Leticia Stauch, had she hit water below the Escambia River bridge.
