It is published that they got together while they were both at Purdue and if I recall that was in their wedding announcement. I don’t know if it has been said which degree he had Landscape Management and Construction or Landscape Architecture. It was reported he was also interested in Michigan State which has equivalent programs in both areas but ended up attending Purdue. I believe Suzanne received a teaching degree and did teach for awhile after they married.

Thank you for the information but I already knew this. What I am not sure of is if he really graduated? A lot of people say they do when they don’t. MOO

I just googled to see if Barry has a degree from Purdue but the only thing coming up is Barry being charged with first degree murder. Oh well.

I'm skeptical. Look at the difference in position of his eyebrows. I think the differing eyebrow position is what causes his eyelids to look different in each photo. MOO

To me it looks like he has had upper lid blepharoplasty done - but what I noticed most is how cold and dull his eyes look in the picture

It was included in their engagement announcement so if he lied all his friends and family must have known. I thought he had a degree in Horticulture Production, though.

I think Barry was ambitious throughout most of his life. Andy described him as being driven, almost to the point of obsession when it came to working.

I think his dream was to be a professional athlete and when that didn't work out he became a landscaper. He probably felt insecure because he never lived up to his expectations. Imo

I'm not sure he's even capable of telling the truth. He's lied and deceived everyone for a year, while focusing on how important God is to him and his family.

If anyone can convince him to confess and reveal where Suzanne's body is, it would probably be his daughters or his mother. Or maybe his pastor.

I think the only thing that will make him talk is fear of his future. He will probably cut a deal if the evidence is overwhelming (which we know it is).

I agree @JosieMae. What every Narcissist fears above all else is to be exposed.
Power and control is the name of their game, and amongst a host of other things they “hold in their arsenal” are gaslighting and divide and conquer. Suzanne’s amazing brothers and sisters have essentially extended an olive branch to Suzanne’s daughter’s, and I can only hope they reach out to Suzanne’s lovely family as they can offer so much love and support to M & M.
My fear is BM will continue to try and manipulate his daughters even from behind bars. Ugh #jaded from following too many other cases where evil monster parent continues to try to control and gaslight their adult children from behind bars. We see BM as the monster, his daughter’s love him and only parent they have left. I will continue to pray for the Morphew daughters, that they eventually see the light, like the shining bright star, loving light guiding them, and reach out to Suzanne’s brothers and sisters for comfort, love and support.

The sad thing is that Barry will manipulate the girls with the same techniques he used on their mother.

Yeah, I would think they keep the murderers separate from other inmates.

He's probably still on suicide watch as most are when first arrested so probably got in a scrap with a guard. I don't feel sorry for Barry as he faces more and more consequences of taking the life of his children's mother. Why should he have an easy life among normal, non-violent people?

The engagement announcement says he was supposed to graduate in the coming May 1994. He hadn't graduated yet.
But yes, he was apparently going for a degree in Horticulture Production at the time.

There is no reason to think that he didn't graduate, considering his line of business. Having a degree doesn't necessarily make him a smart man, it just makes him a somewhat educated person - in a specific subject. imo
