Arrested on 5/5 and charged with 5 counts. Could all just be coincidence.
Well, they did say to keep waiting and hoping for the number five. I think they just got lucky though.

I apologize to all of you that saw this earlier and then it was deleted. @Tiff23fr reminded me that because it was shared privately, LS may not have wanted me to share it. I just heard back and she approved me sharing it with all of you..
"ME:
Hi Lauren- I was wondering if you knew the answer to this question? Did Barry privately hire E & N as his criminal attorneys or did the PD bring them on?

Lauren:
11:59 AM
He privately hired them... the better question is did he call them or did they call him.

ME:
1:06 PM

Exactly!

1:30 PM
May I share this fact with my Webslueth friends?

Lauren:
2:38 PM
Yes
Thanks for asking.

"
So, BM did hire them privately. The bigger question is did he call them or did they reach out to him??

Thanks for sharing that. I assume the big question of who called who is:

If BM called them then it shows a lot of cash available to pay.

If they called him, it might be pro Bono work and speak to them wanting to perform their jobs in the spot light and BM not having the funds.

And of course, BM having or not having cash after all his sale related transactions in the past year is really intriguing.

I got a little bored and started wondering if the Chaffee County VFF Station #5 might have any vehicles that BM could have borrowed that wouldn’t have GPS.
Chaffee County Fire Rescue
As it turns out, their engine 5 (small, wild fire fighting vehicle) is based on a 1979 F150.

Now, I could see all FF vehicles being outfitted with GPs regardless of age, but I also doubt that CC VFD has tons of funds laying around to do that.

I wonder if that truck was ever searched?

Interesting that it's engine #5. MOO.

Arrested on 5/5 and charged with 5 counts. Could all just be coincidence.

If it is once a year, there is a long time to go yet ... unless Suzanne's family are able to push the envelope.

In September 2020, Morphew petitioned for permanent guardianship of Suzanne. He was granted letters of permanent adult guardianship from the Indiana courts on January 2021. Colorado recognized those papers of guardianship shortly thereafter.

BM first was granted temporary guardianship in Indiana to close on the sale of their home there. That was around June 1st, 2020. At that time it was granted and they scheduled another court hearing in Indiana for September 1, 2020 for permanent guardianship ( 90 days from the first hearing).

I wonder if he's able to request his peanut butter on the side with his meals?! He's probably missing the tanning on his patio too! But most importantly, he's probably having separation anxiety from missing his Bobcat.
I think he's probably freaking the F out and will be PLEADING with his counsel to "GET ME OUT OF HERE!" He will have them pushing for bail. He won't be able to talk about anything but bail. He'll be obsessed with bail. He is so entitled that I'm sure he's dying in there, haha. MOO.

What will happen to that Guardianship if he's convicted? Will someone else have to petition him to be removed?

Im starting to shape an opinion that BM was a bit of a puppeteer and manipulated some of the key names we know (MG, GD, TN) and convinced them to do things that would help him. However, at one point or another they all started to see through it and realize what was happening and work with LE.
Exactly.
Very well said, @EggSalad !
Anything more will likely come out at the trial.
But for now... I think many people might be angry at how BM used and manipulated them and even worse -- possibly involved them in Suzanne's death without their knowing !
I'd be livid !
And I'd be extremely helpful to LE.
Barry, you're going down.

How I wish he'd take a plea and let Suzanne's family have her remains.
But he won't. Imo.
He's too selfish and wants to control her even in in death.
MOO

I disagree. If Suzanne was “scared of their finances” then why was she meeting with a DV group? It wasn’t financial issues that Suzanne was afraid of...it was Barry.

Probably won't matter by then anyway. Who knows? But the sale of the PP house was after that so that money will have to be accounted for. Can't fathom that he would be allowed to spend it on his defense. MOO.

I thought her sister said that Suzanne was afraid, but stopped short of saying exactly what she was afraid of. She talked about them living above their means and how they hadn't quite come to terms with it, and Suzanne's frame of mind based on her text messages on the Friday before the murder.

She may have been afraid because of their situation, she may have been worried about him, afraid of what he would do if she asked for a divorce, or afraid he was going to hurt her. We don't know because her sister didn't go into detail. Imo
I agree. That is my interpretation, too. We need to keep an open mind while appreciating the sister's willingness to speak out. Has anyone else in SM's family given us a detailed picture of their relationship? Not that I have seen. It's all been pretty vague though I have appreciated anything they were willing to share. If any Websleuther has, please enlighten me. I would especially like to know if the family knew about increased conflict in the marriage around the time they moved to CO. The impact of SM's distance from family (which she had never experienced on that scale in her adult life) combined with poor Internet reception on keeping close ties with someone should not be underestimated. Good video. Thank you.

Melinda makes it very clear that Suzanne was not scared for financial reasons or any other reason. It was BM's 'dominance and intimidation'.

So, it truly sounds as if something had happened, something was going on, that made Suzanne fearful of how BM would dominatingly and intimidatingly handle it.
This reminds me of Morgan Gentile: "I’m scared of Barry, I don’t want to see him again, ever again.”

Very good Skype/Zoom video Melinda Moorman interview I’ve not seen before.
SM was afraid of Barry, per Melinda. She says it outloud, no hesitation when asked!
Melinda Moorman “My sister had sent me a text Friday morning before Mother’s Day. It was very lengthy, very powerful, very revealing. She was ready to reveal some things she had been keeping close to her vest.” “Suzanne was scared of Barry”.
Short 2 minute video from Inside Addition
EBM
Oh yes she was afraid of him.
Bam!!

Has it been verified that Suzanne was meeting with a DV group? I don't think it has.
This is my concern regarding DV and the two attorneys BM has retained. It may come down to a he said/she said concerning domestic violence, unless LE verifies that Suzanne attended groups.

I think Suzanne’s sister’s texts and conversations with SM will be very revealing, as well as the best friend conversations. If SM was that scared, I’m sure her sister isn’t the only one she told. MOO

Somehow I did not remember reading this first portion of the interview with AM:
BBM
“We had to process some evidence yesterday that we found up on the top of the mountain. I’d hate to speak too much about it. I can just tell you, it was close to the Morphew residence and we’re not sure of the importance of it, but we did get the CBI on it and they are processing that scene as we speak,” shared Moorman.

FOX31 and Channel 2 asked Moorman if Barry Morphew, Suzanne’s husband is involved in the search.

“Yesterday we ran into him as we cross that mountain top of where we found the evidence and he was out hanging trail cams and he had a shotgun on his shoulder and warned us not to go any further because we were about to enter private property. And to answer your question, no, he’s not involved in the search,” shared Moorman.

Moorman said he learned while searching for Suzanne that she was “working with domestic abuse meetings.”

Listening to Tom Owen right now on Chris’ show, there is going to be a lot to discuss. He also did confirm that on either Friday or Saturday night, older males were FB friend requested by Suzanne, quite a few of them-Tom specifically said via her phone. Yet Suzanne did not respond to her friend whose child was being married the next day.

MOO kind strange to work your children into a marketing piece about successfully defending accused murderers.

My exact thought as well. ( Ugh...I'll zip my other thoughts )
