What a disgusting and manipulative man BM is.

Totally USED his daughter in that situation - placed her between himself and Lauren, trashed Suzanne's family (who are also his daughter's family) in front of his daughter, scared and angered her and then blamed Lauren for it, and made his daughter HIS protector from the scrutiny and inquiries of the press. Says one thing to Lauren and leads his daughter to believe something totally different.

EVERYTHING Barry said was to pull his daughter closer as his protection and to alienate her from others.

I hope they gain enough distance and separation from him that they are finally able to consider and see how they have been used by someone from whom they deserved so much better. And that they then consider whether some of those from whom they have been alienated (like Suzanne's family) might have been treated just as despicably by their father, so they should engage on their own and form their own opinions.

If Barry and those who enable the worst in Barry are all you have, you need better.

ETA: P.S. When he convinced the eldest daughter she needed to sign that petition for guardianship, it was himself he was serving. And at both daughters' expense.

Stunning manipulation from Barry here. He sends his daughter outside to chase Lauren and her friend off. When Lauren shows her the text that Barry has been communicating with them, she offers to go inside and get Barry.

Both emerge from the house, and the daughter is very emotional. Barry weaponizes this, by saying “look at what you’re doing to my daughter.”

He knew they were outside, he knew the reporters only wanted to talk to him, but he put her in the middle in order to turn the tables and basically make himself a victim of overzealous reporters who were traumatizing his family.

What a guy.

When the daughter left, Lauren and her friend tried to speak with Barry again. They could hear the tv, but he never answered the door.

As they were preparing to leave, the daughter suddenly returned. So they speculate that Barry once again tried to use her to run interference.

Funny how things can be interpreted differently. I imagined what it would be like if it were my kids who were upset with media parked outside our door. One of mine would close the blinds and ignore and one would be right in their face. But I always appreciate Lauren’s videos and interviews and look forward to any unedited interviews she releases.

It really has no bearing on the case how often or who Suzanne was in contact with in her blended family but this case has been fraught with this kind of peripheral stuff. She is the one who introduced Barry’s statement.

Yes. Andy said he contacted Suzanne, and then went as far as to show the video he sent her.

The fact that Suzanne had spent Christmas with Gene and the gang in Florida, also refuted Barry’s lie.

FWIW, we all know it couldn't have been 3 years. Gene loaned him 100K in April of 2018. Gene was obviously in touch afterwards because rather than sign a note he told Gene to take it up with Suzanne.

I suspect the way that came about was there was a delay in selling the Indiana property and they didn't want to lose Puma Path. So Gene freely loaned the money. When the property in Indiana finally sold, it was with a delayed settlement for the following year.(2020) At that point Gene thought it was good business to have note to protect his estate for himself and all his children. Makes perfect sense to me.

To run down the Moorman family, apparently.
Because that's what you do I guess when your spouse goes missing.
You run down their family to any media person you talk to.
(this has bearing, IMO because it points to BM's character.)

This has bearing I believe, because demonstrates once again, Barry's familiarity with lying like a bobcat fur rug. Of course it hasn't been 3 years since Suzanne was in touch with her family. She heard from Andy on her birthday, 10 days before she was disappeared, she was texting with Melinda 2 days before she was disappeared and she spent time at Christmas with the Moormans just 5 months before she was disappeared. Sure it's possible BM didn't know about the text messages with her brother and sister, but I'm pretty sure Suzanne didn't hide a trip from him, around Christmas time. I'm not sure how he thought he could pull off a lie like that but then again, this is a guy who wanted the public to think a bobcat was to blame.

LS attached that Christmas pic to her tweet on September 24, the first day of AM’s search when announcing she wouldn’t be able to attend. I’m sure she had really been looking forward to meeting AM. Shame she couldn’t be there. I think maybe the pic was a message to someone.
