Ohh... When BM was asked about leaving in the morning on 5/10 for Broomfield....

He would have turned right on US 50 to head towards Denver metro area, but said he turned left (towards Monarch Pass). Freudian slip? I am pretty sure this was said today, but did not write it down. Hopefully vehicle data will help...
Thank you. They closed Hwy 50 (at Monarch) for 8+ hours searching for SM. I recall reading this was considered a major move by CCSO to shut down commerce for a "missing person."

Lauren tweeted: Investigators never found Suzanne Morphew's phone or the charger she leaves plugged in next her bed. So investigators had what was backed up on the iCloud as well as phone records from the phone company. Eytan asked, if Suzanne had a simcard. Harris said no.

So does this mean Suzanne's phone could not ping off of towers? How is this possible? If she just used wifi to make calls, would it use a tower? How can a cell phone not have a sim card?
My guess is that something was lost in translation, as Suzanne’s phone would have had a sim card. Her phone last pinging off a specific tower is proof of that (I believe).

I imagine the question and answer had to do with if Suzanne’s SIM card was recovered.

Another domestic violence advocate I follow on Twitter likes to say, "In case you were wondering, we call ourselves survivors because not all of us make it out."

Suzanne was a survivor. She fought cancer and she fought to find love in her life and a way out. She dreamed of a better life.

Like too many of us DV victims, she didn't make it out. He made good on what I'm sure were years of threats and took away her power to leave him and find happiness and freedom. But she found some comfort and happiness first... and I'm glad. She didn't make it out, but she was a survivor.
She didn't make it out. That's what I want to get back to. BM's constant domestic violence that was taking place by him in his godly loving home.

Wouldn't asking about an SD card (extra storage maybe backed up to a cloud) make more sense? JMO

Yes that bothered me as well. I didn’t like that Harris said no. Expecting Eytan to turn that incorrect answer around somehow.

Yup... But left without her CamelBak and sunglasses... Not needed...

On a bike that needed to be repaired for a locked front brake. Lordy.

Something was "up" with front tire and LE moved bike with holding front tire up, brake was in locked position, and everything worked after brake was unlocked.
BM and GD had to be told "Don't touch bike with your hands please" by LE.
RSBM.
IMO, upon arrival LE was investigating a missing and potentially injured person. They brought the bike up out of the ravine and that was a reasonable thing to do at the time. But it’s also clear that they quickly switched to treating the bike as evidence after it was recovered. (Likely because of the locked front wheel.) And it’s really interesting that they needed to admonish both BM and GD for handling the bike. (The story we had until today was that it was GD admonishing LE for how it was handled.) I really expect to hear more from GD before this is all over. If not via LE’s records during the PH, then at trial.

MOO, as always.

How did those sunglasses end up staying with her car all the way to Indiana? Wouldn’t they have taken in Suzanne’s car and catalogued everything in it?

I'm not a biker but is that how you would load and transport a bike say inside your vehicle so the front tire doesn't move? TIA! :)

It has happened to me once while cycling in Spain. If you "ride" your brakes on steep descents it can overheat and lock. It is frightening but requires repair to be ridden again. I can only speak for cork brake pads on a carbon fiber wheel and a road bike. Not for her specific bike. Until it is fixed, it's not moveable.

TN eluded to this in the phone interview he did before he went radio silent.

Didn't Melinda say Suzanne's Mom was Methodist and they were raised in that church? I think it was also where she took her very last selfie. The look in her eyes and her expression is haunting. Almost as if she's taunting Barry, I wonder how he felt when he saw this photo.

Did I read correctly that this photo was taken as a selfie on 5/9/2020?

Yes. This was day after helmet was found, 5/15. Search on both sides of US 50 from 225 to Monarch Mtn Lodge. Talked about Line Searches.

Barry told authorities, “There’s not a more special, wonderful person in the world.” He said they did have “spats” about him working too much and he wanted her off a certain medication she was taking, but “it wasn’t like they didn’t make up,” Nielsen said.

Barry did not protest when his house became a crime scene, and his truck was picked up. He mentioned to deputies that Suzanne had been cleaning because the daughters’ friend was visiting, and Suzanne had changed the bed sheets for the friend.

In July 2020, Colorado Bureau of Investigation detectives began working again in and around the Morphew home. This search was extensive, with numerous items seized and hundreds of photos taken, Nielsen said. Blood was found on a tampon, but nowhere else in the home.

Nielsen read a section of Barry’s arrest affidavit on the prosecution’s theory, which included data from Barry’s Ford 350 truck. The affidavit reads, as read by Nielsen: From 2:47 p.m. May 9 until 5:37 a.m. May 10, he took steps to dispose of evidence of Suzanne’s disappearance and death.

THE LAST COMMUNICATION FROM SUZANNE was at 14:11 on May 9 between her and Jeff Libler on Linked In.

At the end of his testimony, Stanley asked Walker to confirm Barry claimed he left his home for Broomfield at 5 a.m. on May 10. Walker said this was true. Stanley also confirmed through him that the data in Barry’s truck showed “door activity” at 3:26 a.m.

So ultimately Suzanne lost her life May 9th between 2:11 pm and 2:47 PM? Is that what we can conclude?
In my own opinion that is what I understood.

Why are we obsessed about the affair? JL isn’t the problem, infidelity isn’t the problem BM killing his wife is the problem!

Headlines are obsessed.

Sorry, obviously have missed this. When and where was bike found? Did we hear about that before today?

The prosecution then showed a selfie that Suzanne took sometime before the morning of her disappearance. In the photo, she was wearing her turquoise helmet, which was found 0.84 miles from her bike after her disappearance. Walker said the helmet had normal wear and tear, but no damage.

I thought there was a more specific answer, which was the day before she went missing. But I can't find it now, just the above.

That definitely seems to be the window.

So the 211 obviously makes sense as that was her last communication. Something clearly happened at 2:47, and it’s documented somehow.

Is that when he began pretending to be Suzanne (if that happened)?

Or did he leave the house and make some purchases?

I’m sure there are tons of possibilities.
