@Alethea Is it normal practice or did Barry get special permission to wear civilian clothes in the PH? Patrick Frasee and Chris Watts wore their stripes IIRC.

In the states where I practice defendants are allowed to wear suits or civilian clothes during hearings and trials. It is to show respect to the Court. I'm not sure if it's different in CO.

Incoming....Barry's whereabouts on May 9 & 10th!

Let's go.

If Barry had $70k in cash in his safe, why did he feel the need to apply for a questionable Covid Relief loan?
TARP funds were to pay employees. There is a difference between personal and business assets.

Agent Grusing is now being asked about #BarryMorphews truck based on the data. There were 625 pages of the report to be analyzed. The data included when the door opened, closed and when brake lights were on, etc.

Yes. This is what we’ve all been waiting for. I suspect he’ll be on the stand the rest of the day.

I don't infer from the circumstances that the daughters are "covering" in the sense that they have information that would prove their dad killed their mom. They are probably obeying their dad's direction not to talk to investigators, issued when he concluded that his attempts to mislead them were not suceeding.
Obeying. I keep thinking of the Mother's Day sermon at the Morphew's Salida church the day Suzanne was reported missing, <modsnip> It probably doesn't even occur to the girls to question their father's version of events. I feel so profoundly sad for them right now.

IMO, none of the stuff the defense is focusing on or bringing to light is exculpatory or even relevant to whether evidence exists that warrants binding BM over for trial.

Their agenda is twofold. First, to simply to make sure everyone knows that SM wasn’t the saint that media portrayed her as. (I never believed she was. She’s an imperfect human as are we all.) MSM will latch on to the salacious revelations at the expense of the boring but important details that will make the case against BM.

And second, to delay the progress of the PH by using as much time as they can get away with in their cross and by raising topics that they hope the prosecution will spend precious time on rebutting or clarifying.

Judge Murphy is being far too lenient with them IMO. But I trust he is able to sort the wheat from the chaff. It’s still the states game to lose, for sure.
Why wouldn't they run out the clock..,.if they are allowed to?

I'm assuming JL has a solid alibi or we'd have heard about him long before now.
So then, for those who follow cases and know how this little game works, what exactly is the defense's strategy bringing all this up? I mean other than to bash Suzanne and make Barry look like a poor victim.
Perhaps that she had reasons to run off and disappear?

WOW, it kinda makes you wonder how ANY crimes get left unsolved these days with the tech available!!!!

BM very clearly needed the finer things in life... guess having a nice truck is gonna bite him in the butt.

edited a word oops

I hate to say it and this is not what I want to happen but I'm calling it now, he's going to walk. This might go to trial, but even if it gets that far, I don't think the state has a solid case and Barry's lawyers are relentless. The DA is no match IMO.
I said this the day the prosecutor gave her presser.
