Perhaps that she had reasons to run off and disappear?

...and miss her chemotherapy appointment?
That's the big roadblock to the voluntary disappearance theory, IMO.

I don't infer from the circumstances that the daughters are "covering" in the sense that they have information that would prove their dad killed their mom. They are probably obeying their dad's direction not to talk to investigators, issued when he concluded that his attempts to mislead them were not suceeding.

I believe SM and BM made efforts to conceal their conflict from the daughters and the local community. Any information we can speculate the daughters might have about marital conflict would be surplus IMO, in light of the recorded evidence which is much more effective. They are not likely to be called as witnesses, and like the DA I do not expect these children to turn on their parents.
I understand. But they heard the fights and the words that were said. Yes he has directed them to stay quiet. In the end, it will destroy them.

Maybe he did sent in anonymous tips. We just don't know. Maybe we will learn more about what he did in the weeks/months after.

I wonder if he knew Barry from high school also?
I don't think they knew each other from high school. Barry was older and SM met him outside of school, Barry was in college when she met him, IIRC.

I wonder if they mean “text” messages or messages sent via LinkedIn platform which may have taken longer to get.
Good point.. maybe I'm taking their wording to technical

@RussellHaythorn
Barry Morphew stands and smiles at his mom and daughters who are in the courtroom again today. One of his daughter’s whispers to Barry, ‘You look so good.’ Barry tears up.

No doubt their heart belongs to Daddy. Manipulated and brain washed his own daughters to turn against their Mother. What kind of person does that.

TARP funds were to pay employees. There is a difference between personal and business assets.

Employees that he didn't even have. Since, if he DID, there'd be no reason for a last minute scramble to put a random crew together (one member, JP, who never even worked for him before) for the Broomfield job, a week after he applied for the PPP loan. For those 9 employees he didn't have.

Is it possible to tell when something was deleted?

I’m not sure, but if they could, deleting it 10min after receiving/sending something vs two hours after SM went missing ... is far different

Never underestimate the FBI's computer forensics personnel! Not only can they track what's been deleted, but they can also recover it, and restore it!

Not to be confused with E&N's tech guy that could not access the mirrored data provided them by the DA's office.

I don't know that it's wasted. I think the defense is the one wasting time. They have 8 more witnesses and why not leave the most damning evidence for last. it will be the last thing the judge hears. We haven't even gotten to any of the events of this past spring which is when I feel Barry misled investigators, he likely slipped up speaking to them. They haven't even touched on tampering with evidence stuff.. if they have proof he destroyed evidence from the 9th till he was arrested, then that evidence hasn't been shown. We are going to get to the stuff that finally gave them enough to arrest. So far that stuff hasn't been presented or he would have been arrested right after she went missing.

Exactly. The defense is wasting time in an effort to reduce the time the prosecution has to present their evidence.

For those thinking this is going in Barry's favor, remember the prosecution hasn't had a chance to present much of their case. You can thank the defense and judge for that.

How is this critical to the case? And if it is, I stand by my earlier statement, he'll walk.
It could happen but we haven't seen the good stuff yet- unusual behavior in the electronic record that doesn't jive with BM's statements
