I think it's pretty obvious Barry has spent the last year and a half absolutely brainwashing them. I imagine he had probably been doing that long before Suzanne went missing as well -- but without her there it became much easier. I'm sure they're not even remotely concerned about his actions that day - but hey he looks good in court!
But what reason could they possibly rationalize for him to be making all the trash runs, etc?

  • #602
In some ways he seems very deliberate and smooth, then confuses me with making 5 trash runs placing himself here and there throwing away items. Wasn't he seen going through the trash after SM's disappearance? IMO

Grusing says over the course of several months #BarryMorphew never came back to agents to say he recalled what was in the trash he threw away. And with that we head to lunch. Will be back at 1:30. @KKTV11News

Grusing says after several interviews with #BarryMorphew his statements continued to change about where he was when he got the call about #SuzanneMorphew. Grusing says Barry would not tell them what he was doing inside the hotel room from noon to 5:55 when they have him on cam

#BarryMorphew goes back to his room and got a call from neighbor about #SuzanneMorphew missing. Grusing says that his conflicts with statements Barry told agents because they have him on video in the hotel. He allegedly told agents he was working at this point. @KKTV11News[/URL]

She could have drowned in the family pool after being tranquilized.

Yeah I don't think there is any evidence, short of video of him actually killing SM, that would convince the girls otherwise. We see this in many cases - denial is powerful and I do think he planted the seeds for a long time.

No, my take is she was sunbathing on the patio texting her lover. BM had his phone on airplane mode, SM had no idea he was home. His phone showed investigators he walked around the outside of his property to the back. He probably shot SM w/tranquilizer gun while she was texting & sunbathing, her unaware he was there. My interpretation. Moo

Thanks! I just found out this prelim was happening and trying to catch up.

I’m willing to give the daughters A LOT of grace. They’ve gone through unimaginable trauma. They’ve also probably been abused/brainwashed by their father as well.

They might be playing it cool until they know he WONT get out. Could you imagine the situation they’d be in if they rallied against him and he gets off? It would be awful for them. Dealing with this type of trauma from parents can take years to unpack, look at Sarah Turney.

I know there's more.

I'm physically ill.

He may well have left her to die.

Guess what. Sttill murder.

How do these people walk among us?

I know, I know.

Horrors.

I am really curious about the tranquilizer cap and the tranquilizer materials. Starting to wonder whether he shot her with a dart to disable her at the house. Hunting her down basically, while he allegedly was shooting "chipmunks." So disturbing.

At 5:55 p.m. #BarryMorphew has changed shirts again as he leaves the hotel room. Agent Grusing said Barry wouldn't say what he did in the hotel room. He mentioned watching FOX News and a basketball show

This story changed according to Agent Grusing. Early in May he said he worked at the jobsite and in April amended his statement to watching FOX News.

After 6 p.m. #BarryMorphew takes multiple trips in and out of the hotel entrance bringing in tools. Asks the front desk person if it would be ok to leave them for his workers who were coming later. These were hand tools.
Oh jesus. Hand tools. JMO

I'm reminded of the Dulos case. Remember someone said it was common for those in construction to get rid of work related rubbish in trash/dumpsters? I wonder if this happens in landscaping too? Though thinking about it, you would just dig a hole and bury it, no?
I know around here a lot of landscaping waste ends up in commercial bins.

That’s what I would expect. No way would Barry have gotten physical in front of them.

Them being witnesses to the arguments offers support for Suzanne’s texts.
Good point. Barry manipulated the girls to be on his side against their mother. So, he would only get aggressive with Suzanne when they weren't around. That goes to her texts saying that 'she was afraid to be alone with him.'

JMO.

I think the moron slipped the cap off the tranquilizer before he shot it, placed it in his pocket, and later - after he was done with all he was doing - he washed his clothes (forgetting he'd put the cap in his pocket of his pants).
Exactly!
My post was clear. So far this sounds like a crappy who dun it on tv.
Sorry, I thought it was unclear.
Not crappy but crapola!
BM is getting fried!

I just read all these tweets to my husband, he just said what you said!

I think BM's mother and sisters are continuing the brainwashing and badmouthing the Mormens.

Everything we are hearing today, BM's already knew through his attorney's, correct?

She could have fit in that container and been covered up for transport.

And shooting chipmunks is cruelty.

Most humans are cruel to animals. People pay people every day to kill animals for them. It is devastating to think about.

Hard to explain an innocent reason for driving to 5 different garbage cans when you have a perfectly good garbage can at your own home. AND you're in construction and could always use your business dumpster if necessary.

It's almost a cliché to say that it's the cover up that gets them.

IMO, regarding the $70,000, assuming it really existed (and I think it did), if SM took it, she had the combo to the safe. And cash is fungible.

I expect it would be almost impossible to prove it belonged to one or the other of them and I doubt BM wanted Forensics going through his books. (Though I’m sure they did.)

Let’s face it, there’s an excellent chance it’s all under-the-table job money. But in the form of cash it was simply a family asset — it could represent BM’s cash jobs or a part of SM’s inheritance, or 30 years of saving spare change. Again, it’s fungible. (Unless that safe was a business-only safe and BM was in the gun business. Just sayin’…)

And that said, the missing money and missing charger could still be a part of BM’s attempt to muddy the waters about what happened to SM. Bonus, he could claim it as a loss on taxes and maybe try to make a little extra off it at the same time.

Always, always MOO.

Fairly certain that one cannot claim cash was stolen from a combination locked safe as a loss on income taxes filings. There's no way to prove it was ever there.

I personally removed all of the cash in our mutually held safe deposit bank when I left the marriage. It was not once brought up in the two day divorce court hearing bc the Ex didn't want the IRS to know he was secreting cash from them.

$70k wouldn't have lasted Suzanne v long, no matter where she intended to travel. I'll believe the cash was missing only if it matches up with Suzanne's green dot acct.
