There's what happens at the moment of death...maybe even the moment of heavy sedation. Maybe THAT'S what he had to clean with bleach.

Guessing LE took apart the washer, the drains, in search of other parts.

He hunted her....

I can't get past that.

The bleach thing is confusing me
I can't think of another reason than to get rid of blood or body fluid evidence
IF he just buried her after strangling, why the bleach?
It's strange huh
There may not have been any bleach. We’ll likely know for sure during the second half of today.

I think there was though, as it might explain the repeated clothing changes. Perhaps he bleached the truck bed, and anything he used to bury her body.

No, a hunter doesn't tranquilize the deer before shooting it; however, didn't BM reportedly have a "deer farm" when in Indiana?

Maybe a guy tranquilizes a deer he intends to move to his deer farm?

I'd be more likely to think it's for things like bears and mountain lions if you are out hunting and come across one. Maybe more likely to stop one and allow you to get away vs shooting and hoping it kills it. Just guessing.. unless he just kept them around for tranquilizing his wife. :(

@NoSI would be the one to ask, since that very selfie of her was shown in court today.

Hard to tell. Was mainly a face shot. Saw no straps etc because hair covered it. Chest was covered. She looked very, very gorgeous!

Right now I'm thinking the tree container was something he already had his truck from a landscaping job and he put evidence in it for travel (maybe). IMO
I’m looking at that tree being a memorial marker for her grave. But not in the grassy PP area we’ve all seen before. It’s in the woods somewhere (or maybe there’s some slim chance it’s up in that area where he laid down during the search) marking a pre-dug grave — a place he will always be able to quickly recognize when he goes there again someday to continue tormenting SM even in death. She’s hidden in plain sight if we only knew where to look, kind of like the Ark of Covenant in the Indiana Jones movie…

MOO.

I don't think the bleach has come up up yet for prosecution evidence either at the house or the hotel I think all we know is what was relayed in interviews, that he bought tabs at the pool land spa store. It may come up this afternoon or at the end of August.

Hoping someone would come out so he could get free breakfast.

That is a ploy people do to get free breakfast at hotels, they hang out around a side door and hope a guest will come out so they can get in to the breakfast buffet area without a key fob to get in the door.

I travel for work and have observed this often.

Barry's HIE lurking ostensibly to get a free breakfast (even if they were offering it during Covid) is ridiculous on its face, he was or about to be a registered guest.

Exactly. And even more, a person can't normally check in to a motel like the HIE at 8:30 or 9am. Usually earliest check-in time is in the afternoon. That might suggest he already had the room including the previous night (reserved/paid for, even if he didn't show up until morning). He should have been able to get the free breakfast as soon as he checked in and got his key.

(Of course, this might have been different during the slow times of covid.)

I suspect this is a false theory or assumption about what BM was doing. MOO

Yeah. But I was thinking, what reason would you have to go there? If you want to dump innocent trash, use the hotel.

To spread whatever it was out among different locations. Which upon more careful thought doesn't help him any, but I can see someone initially thinking that makes it all harder to put together into the full picture...

I think you're right about the level of planning and that he disposed of her body the night before.

In the past, I'd thought unlikely Megnut's suggestion that BM may have used the corpse of an elk (the antler rack which he displayed in his yard) as a coffin for SM's body, but I've changed my mind after learning of that tranquilizer dart cap in the dryer and those discarded hiking boots (laces thrown away at a separate location so as to not have the boots and laces - which likely have his DNA - found in the same place).

I think it possible BM may have had a hole pre-dug somewhere in those mountains. He may also have baited, tranquilized, pre-killed, gutted (and removed the rack from) an elk, the corpse of which would later become SM's coffin. And he may have temporarily buried that elk corpse under a small tree that came in a tree container.

Then, he may have tranquilized SM at the home, placed her sedated body in that now-empty tree container in the back of his rig, drove both up to where he'd temporarily planted the tree and elk corpse, opened back up the hole and removed the tree and elk corpse, dragged SM out of the vehicle and shot her to death, stuffed SM's remains inside the elk's corpse, buried that in the pre-dug hole, and then planted the small tree back over the top. And then he tossed the tree container over a ridge.

Perhaps he didn't even shoot her before he placed her inside the corpse and buried her under that tree. Maybe he liked the idea of SM smothering to death inside that elk corpse under that tree.

The deer farmer-hunter-landscaper's solution to "how to get rid of your cheatin' wife's body so it will never be found"
You seem to be piecing it together. Thank you @Diddian

Does everyone feel drained? This is so horrendous.

It is a thing, Leticia Stauch, Fotis Dulos. Is it some basic thinking that smaller pieces fall away and out sight?

Maybe to connect the trailer? (can't remember if he took the Bobcat to Broomfield)

Maybe he had access to them relating to volunteer firefighter duties, which might include dealing with lions or bears or dogs?

ETA: others have mentioned the darts can also just be bought, so that seems more likely

All MOO
Brilliant! Easy access. And no doubt there's a legal requirement for quantity used vs. quantity on hand.

I'm not explaining myself well. I mean if he did eat at the hotel, what reason could he give for going there? I can see myself that he was spreading trash at different locations. Its probably moot anyway, we may find out he didnt even eat at the hotel!

He knew when he received the arrest warrant and he knew when on April 25, the DA showed him the principal evidence.

And then of course, he discussed it with his attorneys. Recall that he had public defenders at first then switched.
Ironically spending most/all the money he killed for.

His whole story and actions about going up to Broomfield at 5am Sunday makes no sense. Why would you wake up so early, travel to Bloomfield just to stay in a hotel for hours! and work only 15 mins ?? His story stinks.

I think he tranquilized her, smothered her, and then dumped her in a predetermined location.

He got rid of the boots and clothing because he knew that soil testing could perhaps allow LE to hone in on that location.

No dismemberment, no blood.
Well I sure hope you’re right not that it makes her any less dead but at least less gruesome for her daughters and family. And a jury I guess. But why so many trash stops? What are you thinking was in all those bags? And why did he have to stop to clean his windshield in the middle of all the trash stops? That’s weird. What kind of incriminating evidence would be just on the windshield? Maybe it was covered in bugs from wherever he took Suzanne’s body? And what do you think about his truck backing up the driveway 95 feet at 9:25 pm? Loading Suzanne’s body? Did he shoot her with a tranquilizer dart at 2:40 something and then kill her immediately afterwards at the house? Would a tranquilizer dart keep someone knocked out for over five hours? Sorry so many questions but would love your opinion. Thanks @MassGuy!

And to think she was dead in a couple of minutes... it's heartbreaking
