I do the laundry and always check my husband's pockets before washing his pants or shorts. I even check the washer and dryer afterwards. Old Barry must have been in a rush to complete his checklist.

I'm wondering if he washed those sheets along with his clothes before discarding them.

I like that theory. I’m trying to figure out all the things he would have thrown away in all those locations, and sheets are as good as anything.

That's what I thought that I read; that she was sending a photo to JL at 2:44 p.m. just as Barry was arriving home and he came around back.

I think that he snuck up on her. Something happened very quickly; and I think that it was planned.

I think BM probably snuck up on SM often.

We learned from conversations between SM and SO that SM used the "find my phone/friend" application to determine BM's location and learned that BM would frequently disable his phone to prevent SM from knowing his location.

I believe BM would probably put his phone in airplane mode to disable the service and also prevent SM from phoning him (calls directed to voicemail). We heard during LS recap on Monday that BM did the same when he returned home early from a hunting trip while SO was visiting at PP-- causing SM to call 911 to report a prowler before she identified BM as the person in the driveway.

I think BM probably put his phone on airplane mode when he arrived home Saturday to avoid doing this in front of SM if they left on a hike together as they discussed via morning texts. MOO

Saving laces is such an Indiana thing - I grew up around guys that did that - weird - the boots would be worn through but those laces? Hanging on the coat closet …

Good point. He probably used airplane mode a lot, and if questioned, blamed it on poor reception.

Would winter tires more capably handle rough terrain on mountain roads?

I wouldn't think so. Winter tires have tread patterns designed for traction on snow and ice (if so labelled), rather than to shed water or maximize speed and handling. and are made with rubber compounds that stay "stickier" in colder temps than all-season and certainly summer tires. I'd guess that the LR came with all-seasons that would be better optimized for non-snowy or icy terrain, unless the planned drive was above the snowline -- that's how our 2018 RR came anyway.

If he really intended on going hiking with SM when he got home, I think he probably put the phone in Airplane mode to avoid receiving calls from his gf, and also not have to disable the phone in SM's presence. It was probably force of habit for him! MOO

After learning more details from the prelim. I'd like to hear whether everyone feels Barry planned in advance to kill Suzanne that day?

I believe he planned well in advance to murder Suzanne on Mother's Day.

• He knew his daughters would be away that weekend - and that (as others have already said here, they would be worried that they couldn't reach Suzanne and would phone him)

• He needed time to either put together a tranquilizer gun (maybe that was a search on the computer), find an old one of his (from working on a deer farm) or buy one (using cash)

• He scheduled work around that time to give himself time (and alibis).

• He made sure the cams weren't working before the time, especially the cameras in the garage so when the bike was moved - it wasn't recorded

• He listened to podcasts in his truck about victims "disappearing while on a bike ride", according to the information from the spy pen.

In my opinion, the thought of killing her was in his mind for months and after awhile, he began to formulate a plan to actually carry it out.

“I’m done”: Texts between Suzanne and Barry Morphew reveal troubled marriage | FOX21 News Colorado

Suzanne’s selfie was shown to the courtroom. The Morphew’s two daughters, Mallory and Macy, cried as they looked on.

Grusing also said, during a search of the Morphew family home, he found the cap of a tranquilizer dart in the dryer.

Morphew has said he left Chaffee County for a job in Broomfield during Mother’s Day weekend of 2020. In court on Tuesday, the State said Morphew made several “trash runs” while he was away.

Morphew apparently made another trash run after he arrived at his hotel in Broomfield. Morphew has confirmed doing so but has said he doesn’t remember what he threw away.

Surveillance video at a Broomfield McDonald’s showed Morphy making a third trash drop just before 9:15 a.m. The video shows him pushing trash down into the can with both hands.

Later, Morphew spent 40 minutes at a dump behind the Men’s Warehouse, also in Broomfield. The FBI said they also captured a video of Morphew making a fifth visit to a dumpster. They said he mentioned he had thrown away tranquilizer material

What on earth was he doing for 40 minutes? Also, is that dump as opposed to dumpster? Cuz if it's an actual dump, like a landfill, then yikes!

A juror may also feel like me, if it goes to trial.
With the 'finding fault' with LE evidence in first 2 days, I hope more definite results can be verified.
I dread Defence summing up, presenting 'what they will label as mistakes'.
