I was born and raised in Michigan before moving to the south. One year we had a squirrel stuck in the garage eating at the wire of a car shot it with what I thought was a BB gun but thinking back might have been a pellet gun. No way in hell he would need a tranquilizer better chance of seeing T. rex walk down Main Street than him using a tranquilizer for a squirrel.

I think that question about shooting wildlife was in reference to the turkey BM’s daughter shot by the river. Probably not a BB gun or tranquilizer, but who the heck knows?

Well done ! It looks like a shadow of one ! I’ve been obsessing about the Fitbit or smart watch since the beginning !

also regarding their carrier for cell - if it’s Verizon - I have that and can log in and see all the calling and texting history for all the phones on my plan- it includes duration and time stamps too- so if someone wanted to know cell history on their plan it’s easy enough to see if you have access at the manager level. I believe the hearing mentioned Verizon
SUZANNE MORPHEW: Where was Barry Morphew on May 9 and 10? | FOX31 Denver
ETA
Verizon records show BM cell phone at 7:19 a.m. on May 9 receiving a signal. Neilsen asked, "Can a phone receive a signal in airplane mode?" Grusing said, "I don't know."

Biggest bombshell so far IMO was Barry leaving the car door open.....

Snuck up on her.

I truly gave him the benefit of thinking he lost it in the heat of the moment.

Only he didn't. Appears he chased her around the house.

Poor Suzanne. Her terror must have been beyond comprehension.

I’m more confused than ever about this timeline.

Wow, Carol McKinley's name is on that piece, I respect her as a journalist. What do you think, does she have an inside source, or is this strictly her opinion?

I am sure it happens in the US also, but something that we notice in Australia is that crime reporters do form bonds with police media liaison persons.

Sometimes we find out afterwards (after trials) that the media knew secret things before the trial. They were just savvy enough to not say anything, so as to maintain their close bond with the police and keep getting info.

So I hope that this is strictly her opinion, unless something was said at the Prelim that we are yet to hear. (I like her reporting also.)

I am more than confused as to why BM would dump bags all around Broomfield, when he so obviously had work there.

It is hard to comprehend that he would be so stupid as to dump evidence right where he was going to be, when he was smart enough to hide Suzanne very, very well.

I also think his confirmation that he threw away tranquiliser stuff could be because he knew/realised he had a missing tranq cap, couldn't find it, and he didn't know where it might be found.

The picture I am looking for shows her apple iwatch clearly. I searched the birthday video and the 6 month anniversary one, but I'm starting to think I'm crazy cuz it's not in either of those but I know i saw it somewhere. Driving myself crazy over it.
I also believe Suzanne had an IWatch/Fitbit and the IWatch SE and the 6 and 8 are water resistant, so I can see her wearing it in and around the hot tub.

I think the fitness tracking data was stored in her cloud which the police have access to. Maybe it showed her fitness stats (heartrate, pulse, movements, etc.) as being normal and active and then stopped completely at 2:47. It even shows if you're standing or sitting, manages sleep activity, etc.

It can call 911 if you have fallen (mostly for seniors), and don't respond to the "I'm okay" notice within a minute. Maybe Suzanne activated that feature since she was mountain biking regularly?

I used to have a FitBit that tracked a lot of detail as well.

I have seen editors make changes right before the final piece is published, and botch what was written. I’ve also seen it where they take a couple of pieces from different reporters and combine them into one misquoted piece. All depends on who has final say.

This was the last post on the previous thread, and I still have this question....

How do we know that the SM sunbathing photo wasn't from the previous summer?
This would mean SM wasn't ACTUALLY (or likely) sunbathing on the date she went missing.
I imagine that photo would have been verified using Suzanne’s cloud. It’s always possible that someone is sending an old photo, but the cloud doesn’t lie.

What is your confusion?
My biggest issue is Salida Stove & Spa. The prosecution said the employee was mistaken when they said it was 4ish when Barry was there. So when did he go? Was it immediately after he killed Suzanne? Or did he go later, like the defense said, although the prosecution said his truck didn’t move? Did he use another vehicle?

And we all saw the Mountain Mail headline their story that the Morphews had lived in CO since 2008.

An Applewatch, that might be what was sought at the Salida worksite, they were sifting.

Agree, I really liked her tweets during the PH.

Grusing said the person at the Spa Store was mistaken.
I believe there are a couple of cameras in Poncha Springs that might document if he did or didn't.

Followed and respected her for a long time. I wouldn’t say “ source” as in leaking. She was the one who was told by LE that the item found was the helmet and she quoted LE in this article from September 28, 2020.

Investigators found Morphew’s bicycle in a ravine that evening. Law enforcement investigators told The Gazette that her turquoise bike helmet was found nearby days later.

Sheriff downplays reports of remains found in Suzanne Morphew disappearance

Also she is the only who has reported from the hearings about the 4 pack of darts.

LE says that time for the spa store is incorrect. Their website says they close at 2 on Saturday. So I don't think BM was there 4ish.

I think it's pretty well known that Barry hunts. Really not uncommon in the midwest. I grew up in Michigan and they close schools for the opening of deer season. Trying to equate hunters with murders is pretty hilarious and typical of some of our You Tube pals. My husband doesn't hunt, but loves it when friends gift us with venison, elk and other game...I don't eat red meat and love Bambi.
Do people skin and eat chipmunks, raccoons and squirrels? Do they shoot them with tranquilizers? I honestly have never heard of that. Seriously asking.
I know of people hunting for large game for food but not these small rodents/mammals?

Well, the FBI agent who was testifying (I believe it was him) said it was. I figure they know how to get all the embedded data off of a photo.

It seems well-established that she was on her phone while sunbathing and texting with JL. And she took that photo and sent it to him. I believe they know exactly where her phone was during that space of time (backyard of the Morphew home) and I believe they very carefully examined the photo for its embedded data.

FBI/Prosecution says it's the last "proof of life," and I don't think they'd base that on a picture they could properly date.

MOO think that your hunting friends would find a man running around his house shooting at chipmunks like he is in Caddyshack to be wierd and dangerous.
