Found Deceased CO - Suzanne Morphew, 49, Chaffee County, 10 May 2020 #72 *ARREST*

I am wondering if Barry was potentially suicidal on 5/8 & 5/9. She made it clear she was done.

5/8:
“I’m done I could care what you’ve been up to for years. We just need to figure this out civilly," she texted her husband on the morning of May 8.

"I promise you are wrong about all the crazy thoughts about me," he texted at around 3:52 p.m. that day. "Only a fool would stray from an angel like you. When I”m dead, which won’t be long, you guys will be taken care of.”

Potentially, he/she sleep it off and he wakes up under the illusion things are going to be ok. If they were both in the house maybe they slept separate and the cap was in the dryer from the bed he slept in. He couldn’t go through with taking his own life.

Then she turns him down on the hike request. His ego is taking another beating.
She isn’t giving into him and he potentially considers taking his own life again and walks down by the river after lunch as the possible location. He then gets himself back out of his mental state and goes to check on the job at 1:38 and run other errands.
Then he comes home to find her chatting and sending photos to her lover. He is now in rage and kills her on the spot with everything after that being to cover up his crime.
Anyhow, just a random thought on how this could fit together if there was a history of manipulation and/or domestic violence based on what little I have picked up on the case the last week.

Colorado dad charged with murdering wife found her texts with lover, prosecutors say

Does anyone know when the meeting between Jeff Puckett and Barry happened? Is it included in any timeline we have to date. I admit I had a doctor's appointment and missed some of the hearing but I've not heard anything about this meeting.

Do people skin and eat chipmunks, raccoons and squirrels? Do they shoot them with tranquilizers? I honestly have never heard of that. Seriously asking.
I know of people hunting for large game for food but not these small rodents/mammals?

I think it’s BS that he used tranq darts in small mammals. He’s covering up a murder, aka lying.

Yes, there are people who eat small mammals. Usually poor folk, but some of it has become culture of certain areas. Maybe grandpa still makes squirrel stew, like his grandpa did.

I in no way believe the Morphew family was eating chipmunks. They can be pests, and some might respond with “pest control”. Traps, BB gun…. My own dad outsmarted them with custom window well covers when he had an issue.

I would think if BM was shooting chipmunks/squirrels, it was for target practice instead of going to a rifle range, and not for eating, probably just a rural hobby. Likely some poor backwoods residents might eat them. No reason for tranquilizers except for wildlife officers relocating larger animals; I'd think they'd trap small rodents if there was any reason to relocate them or test them for disease. MOO.

I've always thought they looked suspicious! Bobcats, turkeys, chipmunks, gutted elk....what else am I missing? So many bit players who cannot speak. At least they seem to be bit players. Still waiting on that darn AA.

I will be very surprised if there is a way to prove BM is missing 70k in cash. It's BM, the guy who's buddy did 400 tours, the guy who had three 30 interviews. The guy who shot 80 deadly chipmunks.

BM and the truth are not always on the same page, IMO.

That might have been an amount SM deposited to her own account. I suspect a lot of cash has run through that safe....

And we have come to realize, Barry was a "cash" type of guy.
