wise words @Alethea - If that is one lesson her death can teach all of us - it's this. Just leave. get yourself and your kids out. If only .....

Sadly, as your avatar picture shows, sometimes having an abundance of money and the ability to get out, doesn't always work either. #justiceforjennifer #justiceforsuzanne

Was she speaking of amicably or was this a discussion of a civil divorce (as in not in the eyes of the church)?

Probably amicably bc she already conceded I don’t care what you’ve been doing. I don’t know of any church granting a religious “divorce.” You can annul a religious marriage, to be able to marry again in the faith. That’s probably based on church canons and probably once a civil service marriage is terminated by a decree of divorce.

I suspect Suzanne’s rings were the “trophy.” I wonder what he did with them? Was she even wearing them anymore?
He better be careful, though:

Which Diamonds Have Serial Numbers?
Diamonds graded by the GIA have serial numbers to prove their authenticity. The serial number on the diamond corresponds with the number on the certificate, so you know it’s a match. The number is engraved on the girdle of the diamond, which is the area of the stone that separates the top from the bottom.

You might worry having a serial number on the diamond impacts its quality or performance, but the opposite is true. The serial number is laser-inscribed on the diamond, so it can’t be seen with the naked eye and is so small it doesn’t affect the diamond’s light performance or sparkle in any way.

Testimony is he only washed the windshield.
Testimony is he only washed the windshield.

RTD stop which is a loop off the road.
HIE: camera-less side
McDonalds: pushed trash down
Car wash: (Trash? Windshield wash only?)
Mens Wearhouse: 40 minutes
HIE dumpster: coat, boots, teal black clothing and 2 trash bags left on curb

Yeah, that does make a lot of sense. In any event, it’s interesting that the prosecution hasn’t mentioned that stop yet.

If this was before Mother’s Day, it makes sense that it wouldn’t be mentioned, as perhaps he made purchases that go to premeditation (which will be covered during the next two days).

If this was on Mother’s Day, it must be significant for another reason.

Salida Supercenter Walmart is located on Hwy 50 -- BM probably passed this store every time he left/returned home to PP. Also, if BM went to/from Tailwind to Kims Gym on Saturday, he'd pass it again.

Cashier: “Hi. I see you’re buying lime, an axe, trash bags and bleach. What are you doing for Mother’s Day?”
BM: “My poor wife’s just buried. I thought I’d help.”

Has anyone ever asked Barry what he bought Suzanne for Mother’s Day?

I don’t remember that ever coming up.

By the time of that last, sloppy dump, he must have been awake for as many as 36 hours (or more), with perhaps a bit of cat-napping in the HIE.

I wonder if that last dump provided the "tranquilizer material." If would be great if he also left Suzanne's biking clothes there. Obviously, they have surveillance of the event, but I wonder if HIE employees would have heard the news about Suzanne's disappearance by, say, Tuesday (and actually retrieved the stuff? They'd probably already moved it into a trash bin and were wondering about this particularly messy guest...Barry Morphew...)

Since MG and JP knew about Suzanne's disappearance on Sunday, early evening, as they were arriving at HIE and checking in - I wonder if they mentioned it to hotel staff. I know I would have.

I say this without any victim blaming but I wish she would have just picked up and went to her sister's or someone else's house. Ending a relationship is the most dangerous time for a person involved in an abusive situation. Waiting until you're alone together may seem like the adult, mature, civil way to do it (like I am sure SM thought), but it's dangerous. Pick up and leave and then tell them you're not coming back when you have some distance and protection. Obviously it shouldn't be like this but it very often is.

Family lawyers and some people know this but unfortunately, most spouses are unaware of the deadly statistics when divorcing an abusive spouse, especially where domestic violence has occurred throughout the marriage. I suppose any high priority item like finances, ownership, or children can set off the other spouse and result in harm or death. As lawyers, we can inquire and advise but as for LE who come to an abusive scene, what can they say without saying too much? Awareness spread to victims by various groups would seem to be the answer.

Ah almost forgot about something Lauren said last night. Morgan told her that on the evening of May 9, she spoke to Barry and he said he had to put out a fire. In hindsight, hard to tell if it was literal or an idiom.

Have started typing up notes and came across this. I am sure it made it on a tweet, but wanted to make sure.

Spy pen: “relevant” as per Special Agent Kenneth Harris. They listened to the files on spy pen.
# Recording 1: Unintentional recording of radio when BM was driving F-350. News from 2/3/20 on radio. BM also listened to a/part of a Forensic Files episode were a woman went missing while riding her bike.

Now think about this.... Forensic Files would not be on the radio. With the poor reception in the area he would have had to have chosen that particular episode and downloaded it. Things that make you go hmmm....

Satellite radio like Sirius?

Let’s see:

Barry arrives home, and there is frantic activity in the backyard. Barry is dumb enough to all but admit to this some nine months later, with the hilarious “Alvin and the Chimpmunks,” story.

Suzanne never shows a sign of life after that moment, but Barry sure is a busy boy.

He conceals the location of his phone, and wipes the his vehicle data. One of these things could be a crazy coincidence, but two is astronomically unlikely.

Then we get to the good stuff. Barry claims to have set his alarm for 4:30, but he’s active a good hour before that. His phone is in the vicinity of the bike location, and his vehicle activity supports this massive lie.

Then of course, Suzanne’s phone goes dark before Barry even leaves the house that morning. Weird right?! We will surely hear more about this during round two.

It’s Mother’s Day, and Suzanne’s phone never comes online. Not only that, but she doesn’t communicate with a soul. Not her lover, not her daughters, not her best friend. No one.

Meanwhile, husband of the year is dumping trash, changing shirts, spending 11 minutes at this job site that he left incredibly early for, and most importantly, lying through his teeth to the FBI about it.

He claimed he worked all day, and actually received the phone call from the neighbor while he was at the job site. The evidence shows that this was a stunning lie, and he spent most of the day in his hotel room (probably napping, as he wouldn’t have slept since the prior day).

I’ll stop here to answer your question, “is it possible one of them went to his house on Mother’s Day and caused Suzanne’s demise?”

I would argue no, as Suzanne could only be murdered once.

*clarity

yep. And the big thing I’m waiting for is if LE on the evening of May 10 saw anything indicating if Suzanne even got up on Mother’s Day. Her morning coffee stuff, breakfast plates, lunch debris, her sleeping cloths, her day cloths, wet shower towels, ANYTHING online since maybe the FIRST thing she did on a normal morning would be check her phone and then go on the internet!

Barry wouldn't need to go to a carwash if he was only washing his windshield, he could do that at any gas station. I agree with past discussions that he was there to clean the undercarriage so that if any vegetation was collected by LE, it wouldn't lead back or link him to a clandestine gravesite. I believe Chris and Mike posted a pic of the carwash early on perhaps as a message to Barry that LE knew where he had been.

In the same interview, LS also said that JP was highly suspicious of BM and had instructed Morgan to start writing down everything she could think of about what she observed during the past week when working with BM. I don't think it is any surprise that Morgan ended up meeting with investigators 5 times!

This was indeed Mass Guy's point ('you were there, Barry, was she drunk or not?'). That 'drunk' comment also shows that BM's reflexive action toward anything SM does/says/sees/talks about/looks like is to DENIGRATE HER. This is what abusers do automatically, without even thinking about it. He wasn't worried about SM, he knew what happened to her. He didn't even have the wherewithal to proactively defend himself by responding to the last photo of his 'dear wife' by showing a sad face, crying, etc. -- nope, he says she looks drunk. As if he were talking about some random person he didn't care about. Which, regrettably, was true. MOO
I can’t imagine very many men would have a positive reaction to an image their wife took to send to her lover.

In regards to the carwash...we have carwashes in Indiana where you can choose:
A. focus on one part of your car, as well as full body wash
B. focus of 2 parts of your car i.e. wheels and windshield or underbody and wax, as well as full body wash
C. the works, all of the other options done to your car as well as a full body wash.

If Barry went to a carwash like this he may have chose option A and asked them to focus on his windshield. This usually consists of a rain repellent, or a special glass treatment being added on the windshield, as well as the normal wash.

This is my theory on the "windshield was the focus" idea from the car wash.

When BM asked the hotel staff about leaving tools in the lobby, he had by that point (I think) already received the call from the neighbor, therefore he was "allowed" to know SM was "missing". Who knows what he might have mentioned to the HIE staff about why he needed to leave before his employees arrived? He might have just said "family emergency" if he said anything at all, but maybe he said more...

MOO

JL also said he was nervous about his family and job.
JL's inactivity was a tremendous help to Barry's defense, imo. How much of a difference it could make....who knows?

Great observation.
6 times to trashes
and a visit to a car wash and his truck is still messy!
If it was a trade in...then moving the old truck out of state made sense...after all, wasn't it the old truck that LE was tracking?
