I’m not at all sure what’s up with this. I wanted them all in one place so y’all can help me lol. They say cables were missing and then they say LE found the missing cables ( I wonder where? ), Maybe BM disabled the camera in the garage so he wouldn’t be seen taking the bike out?

I guess the Defense is countering back that only SM DNA on the cables and she’s the one to disable . Maybe so she could steal money from the safe or hide something else to do with another man ??[/
Things that came up regarding the home security cameras.

Agent Grusing spoke with Sheila about #SuzanneMorphew list. More examples of grievances: concerns about recovering from cancer with #BarryMorphew still in the picture. Concerns about cameras in the garage. Accusing Suzanne of Boyfriend. They spoke with Barry about this.

Surveillance system was not operating the day that #SuzanneMorphew went missing. Investigators say the people living in the house before installed the system and it was not operating for several years. @KKTV11News

According to investigations, #BarryMorphew told investigators he could bet $100,000 that "she" was the one who unplugged the cameras. He says he had a crew come out to fix the cameras and he didn't know if they worked or if "she" tampered with them. @KKTV11News

Nielsen says DNA shows that there was a strong probability #SuzanneMorphew DNA was found on the cables that were unplugged from the system used to support the security cameras. #BarryMorphew @KKTV11News

In case you were wondering, there is no surveillance of the Morphew home from 5/9 or 5/10. The DVR was missing. Lots of talk about whose DNA was on the DVR cords. DNA test showed moderate support that Suzanne's DNA was on the cords, but Barry and their daughters' DNA excluded.

https://twitter.com/laurenscharftv/status/1424779242684960771?s=21
Now speaking about the surveillance cameras on Morphew Property. They were installed by the previous owners. The defense is referring to page 97 in the arrest affidavit. They are speaking about missing cords that LE found.

Neilsen said Barry never touched the cables missing from the DDR. LE took swabs of the cords. DNA from Barry, Mallory, and Macy were excluded. She is now showing Walker discovery of the DNA report of the DDR cables. GREY S cable.

Neilsen said Barry never touched the cables missing from the DDR. LE took swabs of the cords. DNA from Barry, Mallory, and Macy were excluded. She is now showing Walker discovery of the DNA report of the DDR cables. GREY S cable.

So the defense is showing that it was likely Suzanne who touched the cable. Now they are talking about a blue cable to see if Suzannes DNA was on that cable. What about the Power Cable... DNA mixture of two. Likely Suzanne and an unknown male individual.

‘Strong possibility’ …it was either SM DN or it was not.

What does the shop do with the old bobcat blade? Do they keep it or the owner takes it for scrap?

Would it be large enough to secure a body to and sink it in a body of water or a river?

Just some odd thoughts.

  • #203
I wonder if there were others around to attest to exactly when the bobcat was damaged. Or if the damage was sustained when Barry happened to be alone? Or if he gave any explanation about it when he changed the blades?
Or, if it was even his that he was having that work done on. It looked like there were a couple pieces of heavy equipment kept on site at that riverfront job, so it might have even been a piece of equipment rented and charged to that job.

Or, he might have used rented equipment from the riverfront job to dig a hole somewhere in which to later place SM's body, damaged something on it while doing that, then traded out that damaged part with a non-damaged part from his Bobcat, and had it replaced once it was on his machine. Would that account for the heavy equipment running that the neighbor of the riverfront site heard in the middle of the night?

I hope I'm wrong but I hope again Suzanne did not have someone at their house Mother's day.

I think the odds of that are slim, as dead people aren’t typically able to do that.

Compounding the issue, Barry appears to have taken Suzanne’s phone with him when he left that morning.

Suzanne is the best witness in the case, imo.

FBI Investigator on stand confirms Suzanne would track Barry through his phone and find my phone app. At times, she would tell her lover Barry was coming home so that they could stop talking. Barry would sometimes put his phone on airplane mode so she couldn't track him #9News

FBI Agent Harris testifies Barry said he and Suzanne had a “perfect night” day before he left for Broomfield and she disappeared. <sbm>

----

This evidence is gold. Suzanne has told people (or a person) this fact before her disappearance - this is knowledge about his M.O., not stated to influence LE or a jury in her own disappearance and murder. It's not LE having tunnel vision - assigning an inculpatory explanation for his phone being in airplane mode for 7 hours while he is having the "perfect" evening at home hiding his location from Suzanne, it's straight from the mouth of the person who lived with it and knew him and his thinking better than anyone else. He just moved his sights from trying to outwit Suzanne to trying to outwit LE. There's no one else with an interest in tracking Barry Morphew.

Thanks, @Tortoise for laying out Ashley's texts:

Add to these texts the fact that three days before SM disappears, she put BM on notice that she was done with him and now only wanted to keep communication civil. I think SM probably moved out of the master bedroom on this date too (most likely began sleeping in Mallory's bed).

As expected, BM immediately resorted to suicide threats, love bombing, and also made efforts to keep up his 'happy family life' appearance to others.

BM and SM had been at this junction countless times before: we can see BM taking the "home temperature" only to find that this time, SM was not crumbling. What? SM had not weakened -- instead, she seemed stronger than ever before!

In BM's mind, I believe Saturday could have gone either way -- all depending on SM. On Saturday morning, BM purposely extended an olive branch with his invitation for them to go biking or on a hike. However, the invite was short-lived the moment that SM attempted to turn the invite towards a mutual meet-up location. Again, BM saw that SM was not allowing him to take control.

It was probably at about veggie stew time that BM decided that SM was giving him no choice but to carry out his afternoon plan. BM made sure to carry out his 2 pm (alleged) appointment at DSi to change the bobcat blade and return home by 2:43 pm. I'm unsure whether or not BM also stopped at Kim's Gym (and Tailwind) which I don't think is significant.

I'm also betting that the daughters had no idea when they left home that BM was planning to work on Sunday. More important here is that I don't see any evidence that SM knew BM planned to work out of town beginning Sunday. I think we will eventually see that SM's texts with JL, SO, and MBM, never mention that BM was leaving town early Sunday for an extended period to work along with his crew in Broomfield.

Nope. BM made up that Broomfield job schedule on Saturday afternoon. He believed that for the sake of appearances, he'd covered up the relationship-ending fight of May 6 and could claim that all was loving and perfect in the Morphew home when SM vanished.

BM's bobcat was equipped with GPS and probably why investigators could rule out its use in SM's demise.

However, OP brings up an excellent point that BM could have easily used the equipment of others (equipment noise heard by witness Branson)!

Just like BM keeping his own F-350 parked in the driveway.

Could the previous owners of PP have taken it with them in 2018? Not sure cameras inside the house ever worked or recorded are we?
MOO
From earlier days, I was also under the impression that the home surveillance system was inherited from prior owners, and probably required a service contract that BM was unwilling to keep (similar to no landline). I think this may have been discussed in the early days on one of the approved YT.

The hike could have been to push her off a mountain.

So what do y'all think happened?
I don't think he shot her with a dart...I think he got her away from the phone..maybe in the hot tub...and jabbed her with it. And maybe she got away and he chased her down.
Why was he down by the creek...did he drown her there...did he put her there for a while?
Maybe I can't figure it out because I'm not dumb enough and evil enough to think like him.

A person who had an Indiana deer farm would use the air rifle or .22 to fire the medicine dart. That person would know there’d be a big bruise so death could not be blamed on drowning in a hot tub as there’d be a huge bruise. She was moved.

Where was Suzanne moved to and when/how?

Well, the difficulty of making quick stops at multiple trash dump sites, with a trailer on the back of your truck, is a factor (and he'd be way more obvious). Just finding a parking spot (HIE probably had plenty of parking for vehicles with trailers, but it would have been hard to find such a spot at WalMart or Home Depot, and the dump sites).

You have to drive more slowly with a trailer, it takes longer to find a slot to gas up at the gas station - everything is more awkward. The chances of LE noticing a truck with a Bobcat are higher, too. Supposed to drive in the slow lane through Denver, etc. My dad towed a trailer to CO for years, and as a man who preferred to drive fast, he disliked it intensely. The parking issues got worse and worse as Denver got more and more crowded...

During COVID, it would have been easier, but Barry probably wanted to travel swiftly and be able to maneuver quickly as well.
Exactly. And BM knew all along this was going to be a short day trip.

They are positive the Bobcat doesn’t factor in, but I’m wondering if they can prove that another piece of equipment does.

I’m convinced that we will hear a week from now, that not only could they place Barry at that Salida site on the night those noises were heard, but they may also be able to trace another piece of equipment to him, that he used to dispose of Suzanne.

So I’m expecting to hear of another vehicle, and machinery or equipment other than that Bobcat.

This rumour appears to be being passed around as fact on SM. I have been digging around for any evidence that this occurred. I have not found any as yet. There were claims that the journalist LS mentioned it in one of her live Prelim recaps. I rewatched them all and I could not find any statement that matched the rumour.

That would be a massive smoking gun, if true. Sadly, I think it's a case of wishful thinking.

I don’t know what was deleted… by chance are you looking for the statement by Miles Harvey that Suzanne brings her car with her when biking? Here are some of the tweets with MH statements.

Suzanne's Phone was last pinged at 4:23 a.m. on May 10, 2020, on the Poncha Springs tour. Miles Harvey was coming out of the garage when deputies arrived to the Morphew home.

Miles explains he is one of the daughter's boyfriends. He noticed that Suzanne's car was home, but bike was gone. He told deputies that Suzanne typically brings her car with her when she goes mountain biking. (Bodycam video)

Miles and his father describe places where Suzanne goes biking as well as what she typically wears. The deputy asked Miles what Barry and Suzanne's relationship was like, "They've had some problems in the past. They have talked about separating. I've known this through Macy."

I haven't read the entire thread and missed a few pages of the last one. I love my life but its interrupting my favorite hobby right now.

Court TV has video of Barry tossing bags of stuff. Begins at 2:40

They’re comparing Fotis Dulos’ trash dump with Barry’s. The video is of him (Fotis).

I sure hope the AA will have a lot more on the Broomfield job.

It makes no sense at all.

How did he get this job in Denver when he works in the Salida area?

When did he get this job?

What was the scope of this job? It sounds small and very limited.

Did he go back and do more work there after Mother's Day?

Here’s what LS found out about the wall job.

SM's Sat. Messages?

@Seattle1 sbm rbm Thx for your post. Good point. What specifically do SM's Fri & Saturday texts, messages w others say? {{EDIT Anything about BM bring away for Broomfield work Sun?}}

On Sat, didn't the sunbathing-SM's message to JL say something like ---
Guess who is here by herself this afternoon?
Q's to Seattle1 or anyone:
Was that from SM? Was it sent Sat?
If so, did SM send message as ---
--- A lament (poor me, being ignored/mistreated, either seriously or lightly in jest)?
--- A tease (maybe we can exchange some naughty pix.
--- Or both?
