I have posed the same question....why no bobcat in Broomfield? Another thing....If the job in Broomfield was supposed to take a couple of days...why did Barry book only 1 night in the hotel? Did he know he was returning to Maysville the following night? Why would he know that?

Not that I want to offer BM any support, but yes, he probably would have stayed only the one night, even if it were legitimate. On the original job, he directed, but was not part of the crew on the jobsite. This time he said he went there to "prepare" the site for the crew, for the redo/repair.

Lighter thoughts: I am compiling a little zoo for us. So far we have a mountain lion, a bobcat, 85 chipmunks, and of course big bucks. Anything else?

I'm willing to go down this road with you, but how and when did he get this borrowed truck? No way he had a buddy bring it over while his wife is dead in the backyard.

^RSBBM

Not impossible. Patrick Frazee went to his mother’s house on Thanksgiving with Kelsey Berreth’s dead body in his truck.

“Her beaten and battered body is in that box, which he keeps on the back of the truck while he eats Thanksgiving dinner,” said Reid.

Frazee found guilty of killing missing fiancee, sentenced to life w/o parole

You call it the hate of a person. I see it as his love of money was worth the risk for Barry. With Suzanne gone, he was about to have to become a real working Joe for a living. This was a guy used to expensive homes, expensive cars, expensive vacations, you name it.

Suzanne leaving with her inheritance money would sure put a damper on his "rich and famous" lifestyle. The more he thought about it, the more he blamed her for wanting to screw it all up. He wasn't about to let that happen.

Notice how quickly he moved to get his financial affairs in order and take over Suzanne's wealth after she disappeared. No time for much of anything else except maybe his push-up contests.

JMO.

Did anyone here follow the Michael Chambers case?

BM's activity really reminded be of BC.

If anybody else is wondering about WhatsApp -- seems it's owned by Facebook and used by more than 2 billion people! Available for cellphones and computer desktops. It's a messaging, voice, and video call service. The service features end-to-end encryption, which makes it harder for people to hack into and see conversations. User can set their chat messages to self-delete.

Hmm.. LS tweeted that the FB codes were reset on May 8.

https://twitter.com/laurenscharftv/status/1425185309285928966?s=21

Between 8-9 p.m. on May 8, #SuzanneMorphew Facebook codes were reset. She friend requested 23 people in total 20 were men. Investigators asked Barry if this was him and he said no.

The only other tweet I see says this:

https://twitter.com/sydneestelle/status/1425203938261938181?s=21

The night before #SuzanneMorphew was reported missing, her Facebook codes were reset and people started friending her -- 23 old friends from Indiana, 20 of them were men.

Carol McKinley’s tweet says Saturday night. So, was the Facebook friending on May 8 or May 9? I hope this date gets clarified in the second two days of the prelim, else in the AA.

So far, he appears to be king of the non-answer answer.

Even when he's incriminating himself. "So, Mr. Morphew on Saturday afternoon, shortly before your wife disappeared, you were shooting a 22 rifle?" "Yes. I shoot chipmunks. I've killed 85."

Looking forward to the interview playbacks in court. And the chipmunk evidence.

Not sure the bobcat fits anymore. How about
Barry the Buffoon?

JMO

Yep. He answers every question …. with non-relevant information. Hyperboles. Distractions.

Everything but the truth.

“There is nothing that I am hiding. I have given three – 30 hours of testimony to the FBI and the CBI [Colorado Bureau of Investigation]. I've answered every question. Every single question,' he stated.

So if the BOBCAT skidsteer was not involved in Suzanne’s disappearance, that must mean they know what WAS involved.

Can’t wait for the AA to be released.

Just a note about Whatsapp. Where I live the mobile/cell reception is really poor, very difficult to send or receive regular texts messages. So we use Whatsapp all the time, in place of texting. If they have a tricky cell phone signal at PP for instance, Whatsapp would be very useful.

Seems to me prosecution needs to lay it out better in order to keep this case moving forward. So I agree...looking forward to the next two days of the prelim. I don't think at this point the AA has any real value and if the case moves forward I imagine it will be released in redacted form at the point the judge said he would review in early September. If the case doesn't move forward as expected, I don't imagine it will be released.

OldCop

Is there a time we know when he returned to PP?

And when he departed HIE?

The big show of returning hand tools to the hotel and asking the desk clerk if he can leave them for employees is all for show, clearly. Seeking to imply he was working all this time and establishing a time when he left HIE.
5/8 - re: SM sister's response, according to the witness. We have Melinda's interviews that say she responded she would pray about it before fully responding.

It took him 40 minutes from getting the phone call that his beloved wife is missing to leave the hotel room? I gotta say, I get a call that my wife is missing, I might not even bother to put on shoes.
Agree.

I believe LS was just making an observation.

I think you have to take the tweet in context with the actual stage of the prelim hearing at the time LS tweeted. Take note that one minute before LS's tweet about the "bobcat very active," the reporter also tweeted the referenced AA page number where the state ruled out the bobcat being connected. In other words, the defense seemed to spend a lot of time crossing the state's witness about the bobcat's maintenance on Saturday, May 9-- considering this equipment was ruled out being connected to the case.

Lauren Scharf@LaurenScharfTV

The BOBCAT, also called the Skidsteer. On page 41 in the affidavit, it states #BarryMorphew was not connected to #SuzanneMorphew disappearance. #FindSuzanne

This rumour appears to be being passed around as fact on SM. I have been digging around for any evidence that this occurred. I have not found any as yet. There were claims that the journalist LS mentioned it in one of her live Prelim recaps. I rewatched them all and I could not find any statement that matched the rumour.

That would be a massive smoking gun, if true. Sadly, I think it's a case of wishful thinking.

Below is what a search came up with regarding the tweets. (Snipped name down to initials). To repost the information that was modsnipped, please include a link to source statement.

Suzanne's Phone was last pinged at 4:23 a.m. on May 10, 2020, on the Poncha Springs tour. MH was coming out of the garage when deputies arrived to the Morphew home.

M explains he is one of the daughter's boyfriends. He noticed that Suzanne's car was home, but bike was gone. He told deputies that Suzanne typically brings her car with her when she goes mountain biking. (Bodycam video)

M and his father describe places where Suzanne goes biking as well as what she typically wears. The deputy asked M what Barry and Suzanne's relationship was like, "They've had some problems in the past. They have talked about separating. I've known this through Macy."

In an article:
When authorities reached the Morphew home that day, MH, a boyfriend of one of the Morphew daughters, was walking out of the garage. He told deputies that the Morphew daughters were not at the home, and he had searched for Suzanne there, but came up empty. Hsaid she had never gone up the trail where her bike was found because it was a “crazy climb” with a large elevation gain.

In a separate body camera video, a deputy asked H if Suzanne and Barry had problems and he said they had some in the past but called it normal husband-and-wife-type stuff.

Thank you, both.

I’m not on social media, so maybe I dreamt it? I’ll continue searching for the link to what I thought I read, but I did wonder why no one was talking about the “smoking gun helmet.” My apologies.

Thanks OldCop. So looking at this timeline BM's truck does not move from the home during the time that the Defence allege he was at the Salida Stove and Spa store.
That is correct.
Defense is also stating that there were 18 miles missing when BM went to Broomfield and that is probably when he went to Salida Stove and Spa. That makes no sense because they are alleging he went to Salida Stove and Spa sometime between 4:00 and 5:30 on Saturday. He didn’t go to Broomfield until Sunday morning.
Furthermore, Salida Stove and Spa closes at 2:00 on Saturdays.
Defense is relying on memories of owners rather than electronic surveillance or store receipts at this point. We may get further clarification during the next phase of the preliminary hearing next week.

Mrs Libley has my sympathy - though I doubt if she wants to be thought of as a poor betrayed wife forever. I hope Mr and Mrs L will recover from this, and find happiness again. There are no winners in this story, that's for sure.
Really? You would want to remain married to a piece of work who withheld from LE potential motive for murder and would still be in hiding if LE hadn't discovered HIM?

To me, his lack of character borders on criminal. I would not stay married to such a person. He cheats, he hides, he's completely self-centered.

Does he remind you of anyone else in this case?

And his last name is Libler, he lives in MI and he has 6(!) children who are impacted by his actions.
