I hear you....so many times I wish they had another option like perhaps "agree"?

Although, with that theory, it coulda been a mountain lion afterall!

Maybe that's why he.... oh, nevermind.

It is close to the bottom of their driveway. It belongs to the HOA.
I would imagine that the Morphews (my opinion) used the nearby dumpster frequently. Is there regular garbage pick up, or is the dumpster their only means of trash disposal? Are there rules governing what gets deposited into the HOA dumpster? Most people that I know that live in areas without garbage pickup would be thrilled to have a dumpster so close, and it would probably be incorporated into a daily routine-anyone leaving the house would make a trash run to the dumpster on their way out. Or maybe Barry was the house garbage guy, throwing it into his truck a few times a week and dropping at the dumpster. No construction materials or yard/landscaping waste is the usual request in the rules in my area.

Why didn’t Barry use the nearby dumpster? Too close to home, and he knew that LE might throw some crime scene tape up and have it hauled in to examine the contents?

BINGO! Exactly where I am going with this.....MOO

Trapped in a corner and had to think of something quick maybe?
Yes, I also think LE may have tipped BM off to the tranquilizer and the case missing one dart. Did they even tell him of finding the cap in the dryer lint trap in one of their last interviews with him in April?

Maybe they were giving him a chance to confess and avoid a trial to spare his daughters the details of the horrible murder, and I do believe it was gruesome and horrible.

But Barry, being Barry and all, is too much of a NARC to spare anyone's feelings, even those of his precious daughters.

Maybe they were expired doses.

I'm not sure if you're playing Devil's advocate or you're serious but I would assume BM being a volunteer FF for Chaffee county he'd know good and well there are drug take back locations right in his own back yard Prescription Drug Safe Drop Box (3 Locations) | Chaffee Resources - Your Health and Wellness Services Hub

Of course... one of those locations happens to be the CCSO so... yeah, makes sense he'd take expired tranq darts to Broomfield and improperly dispose of them there. o_O

On page 41 in the AA Walker said that BM’s Bobcat doesn’t appear to be connected to SM’s disappearance. He doesn’t say that any other Bobcat isn’t.

The thing I would like to know is why he volunteered he threw away the tranq and why a tranq cap was left in dryer....could he be scheeming some defense? Yet can't remember any other dump? Just seems said for purpose.IMO
I think they had him backed into a corner somehow; otherwise there’s no reason to admit to something like this.

There’s likely way more coming…

Being in possession of tranquilizer darts requires licensing. Even if he had a deer farm back in Indiana, which allowed him to tranquilize and capture deer there, that wouldn't work in CO and he knew it.

Since it is my opinion that the most obvious source of Barry's darts was the Fire Department, it would not surprise me to learn that they found the cap (almost immediately), checked their locked medical supply cabinets (both in ambulances and at stations) and found a box missing. These are highly controlled substances. People steal ketamine to use as a date rape drug.

So Barry just turning up with a package of 3 darts would have been a bit...suspicious...to say the least.

I am now wondering if this missing box of darts is one of the reasons that the entire group of firefighters was banned from searching. Dart cap found in dryer at home of missing person; dart is the brand used by firefighters to tranquilize bears and mountain lions - so it's strong; missing dart box was then noticed at Fire Station.

Do you think it's possible that he (stupidly) either broke into the Fire Station or otherwise skulked around near where the darts were kept? Perhaps caught on camera?

I suppose that they could have pointed out to him that a box of tranq darts were missing from Fire Station #5 (or some other fire station). That a cap matching the missing type of dart was found in his dryer the day that Suzanne went missing.

He'd have to say something. Unbelievable that he didn't lawyer up sooner. A DIYer to the bitter end. And a skinflint.

I bet they found the other 3 darts in the trash, probably at HIE. Can't wait till a jury hears all this.

I have a sneaky suspicion that the 50 lb feed bag is going to come back into the scene.

Stay with me on this one....think "FOOD CHAIN".

Spread feed out in a well known area of deer & their prey. Place a body in that area to lure an additional scent to the prey. Could be just a matter of hours before the evidence is taken care of. MOO
I’m not a fan of this. Attracting animals is the exact opposite of what most of these guys want, as that scatters remains, making them easier to find.

In fact, many killers take measures to prevent this by burying a body deep. Some pour concrete on top to further protect disturbance.

Then again, it is possible he didn’t mind her being found, but just wanted to conceal cause of death.

Barry is a strange bird after all.

Is the State able to track the geolocation of BM's truck for the time period after he re-booted the battery? If yes, it's odd that there seems to be no geolocation testimony re the truck leaving PP in the early morning hours of the 10th.
I hope so. Most of the testimony around the time we think BM left PP was centered around the cell phones. Testimony got really bogged down with defense questions about phone pings. We know the prosecution was not able to call all their witnesses because they ran out of time.
Hopefully, we’ll get some clarification next week as the prelim continues.

Good point about the FF being turned away from searching. Although that happened almost right away, and we don't know yet when the dart cap was discovered in the dryer. Either way, Barry is still entirely full of carp.

Very little would surprise me at this point, so I’m totally open to something like this.

I wish we knew the date the dart was found - firefighters were banned early on I believe ?

ran across this old article - interesting to see his words at that time knowing LE was building their case methodically

Another thing I would like to know more about is the "appointment" at DSI to repair the Bobcat. Barry never mentioned the appointment to Suzanne when he asked her to go hiking, as in,"I have x amount of time to hike because I have to take Bob in at 2:00". Did he take Bob to the beach jobsite that day? Did he mention the "appointment" to MG and the reason for it? I thought JP stated that Barry came in to use DSI's shop to make a repair to Bob, the owner of DSI was out of town and JP found it strange that Barry was asking him about working for him on Monday, knowing his boss was out of town. JMO.

I agree @Hair of the Dog. I'd love to know more about the Bobcat repair, too. Mainly because this was something he got caught lying about to LE back when he was first questioned by them. (He said he "forgot" to tell LE that he did a "mechanical thing" to his Bobcat.) Why lie about this? There has to be a critical reason he left this info out in his 3-30 interviews!

Also, is there any way to prove there was 70,000 bucks that is now missing? I wonder if BM had that cash on hand for "hush-hush" money. Ya know, just in case.

Going over text messages between SM and her best friend SO about SM wanting to leave the marriage. SM says she needs to wait until youngest daughter is out of the house, etc.

Then SM says she can’t do it until they get the money from the sale of the house in Indiana and she thinks that should be January.

19:56

Also at 22:00 SM texts SO that she had finally got him off the idea of building a house.
What day are these texts on?

<snipped> AM quoted in above article:

“They did ask us, ‘why can’t we find any coolers at the house?’ And I said, ‘well I have no idea. I don’t know how many they had to begin with,” he said. “But I assume, as a hunter and a guy that maybe camps, he would have a few, and they couldn’t find a single one.”

Good to refresh @oviedo, I know we hashed this out way back when, I find it hard to imagine not 1 cooler. There's just 2 of us here and we have about 8 in varying size.

Thank you, both.

I’m not on social media, so maybe I dreamt it? I’ll continue searching for the link to what I thought I read, but I did wonder why no one was talking about the “smoking gun helmet.” My apologies.

LS mentions a helmet in the house in passing at about 5 minutes here

The meat will be exposed in the preliminary to reach the presumption great test so the AA will have less value after the preliminary and that is when I think it will be released.... if this proceeds to trial...in redacted form. If it doesn't go to trial it has no value as the prosecution will need to tighten their case before they obtain another arrest warrant.
No I dare say the meat will be exposed a the Trial.
