I was just reviewing the Judge’s order on the AA’s release being delayed, and “protection of the Morphew daughters”. It made me think about protection of JL’s family, including his daughters. I get that their mother wasn’t murdered, but what’s the deal here? What are we protecting the Morphew daughters from?
My guess is the AA has way more details than we have heard because if it’s just an affair - while a stain on their mother’s memory- it really doesn’t rise to sealing it unless there’s some really horrific information to come- perhaps regarding method and biological material?

Unless he used another vehicle, the older RR or ATV, to dispose of Suzanne. Gosh I hated typing that. :(
Yes, definitely. But regardless of that, at some point he got in the truck at PP and left. It would be nice to know when the truck moved from PP. Not when his cell phone moved, but when the truck moved.

Colorado has Victim's Rights Laws, which the Judge invoked, or at least alluded to, in his order to explain why the AA was sealed.

JL's children are not victims of the crime which has brought everyone to Court.

Curious whether people think the daughters already knew about the affair. I think it's clear that Barry did - although I don't know when he learned precisely who the person was, where they lived, etc. If the girls did know, they didn't know much and it must be very hard for them, either way, for that to go public.

It's one in a long series of such shocks, I'm afraid.

Barry already told them about the affair - right??

I have a sneaky suspicion that the 50 lb feed bag is going to come back into the scene.

Stay with me on this one....think "FOOD CHAIN".

Spread feed out in a well known area of deer & their prey. Place a body in that area to lure an additional scent to the prey. Could be just a matter of hours before the evidence is taken care of. MOO

Yikes.
Although I appreciate your great thought, that is a difficult post to "Like". :(

I hear you....so many times I wish they had another option like perhaps "agree"?

No tranquilizer darts were used in shooting chipmunks. They are what is known as a "foil tactic." And a most absurd one, at that.

The 22 rifle owned by BM can shoot tranq darts or bullets. The drug used would be a controlled substance.

As I've said before, this tranq to shoot chipmunks myth is not in evidence nor is it logical. It also drives me personally crazy for some reason (anyone else?).

LOL and JMHO (very humble)
It doesnt drive me crazy. I think as a notion, it's as absurd of many of his others which actually have been put forward but you're right, it's not in evidence.

It would be interesting to know if LE found bullets or recently deceased chipmunks in the grounds though.

The thing I would like to know is why he volunteered he threw away the tranq and why a tranq cap was left in dryer....could he be scheeming some defense? Yet can't remember any other dump? Just seems said for purpose.IMO

Trapped in a corner and had to think of something quick maybe?

They spoke to the lady at the dumpster. How close is it to their house that he wouldn’t use it? Is it on a map?
It is close to the bottom of their driveway. It belongs to the HOA.

The meat will be exposed in the preliminary to reach the presumption great test so the AA will have less value after the preliminary and that is when I think it will be released.... if this proceeds to trial...in redacted form. If it doesn't go to trial it has no value as the prosecution will need to tighten their case before they obtain another arrest warrant.

I cannot imagine the Great State of Colorado allowing a man to go free without a trial while knowing he likely chased his wife with a tranquilizer gun on the grounds of their home. Just the thought of Barry performing this horrific activity triggered my PTSD that was further impacted by him holding a gun to his head as my X had done. I had to back away for a few days.

I want to read every valuable word of the Investigators summations in the AA. The devil is in the details.

Could the defense be using misleading tactics by stating it was not BM or his daughters DNA found on the wires and it is highly probable that it was SM (by process of elimination) rather than by any proof it was hers? If it was SM they would be blaring it from aloud.

Mrs Libley has my sympathy - though I doubt if she wants to be thought of as a poor betrayed wife forever. I hope Mr and Mrs L will recover from this, and find happiness again. There are no winners in this story, that's for sure.

No sympathy from me. He strung SM along (the affair made him nervous about losing his family and his job). He had no intention of marrying her or being with her. He did not help with the investigation. If he had he could have requested anonymity. He is a cheat and a coward.

From what we've heard so far, there's a chance Barry rendered Suzanne unconscious. That's very dark. Horrific possibilities involved here. Even if the details are not entirely known, so far the evidence would lead almost anyone to some nightmarish possibilities.

Then why not take it to a medical center or vet that has medical waste disposal facilities? Why drive with it all over his patch of CO? He just happened to find the expired doses in his pocket during his trash dumps?

I figure it's because it's certain that those places will have monitored cameras. Medical waste is supposed to be kept locked up/difficult to access. The place where I work (not a hospital) monitors its larger trash dumpsters via CCTV from 7 am to 10 pm, and then just records in between those hours.

Medical waste pick-up is expensive. Some members of the public, as we see here, think it's okay to use private or public resources for their own benefit. So, at our college, we used to get a lot of dumping near the back of the cafeteria areas, done at night, people leaving bags and bags of trash if the dumpsters were full. The camera is very obvious and two other cameras catch cars from both directions of approach.

I'm guessing many hospitals and vet clinics do the same. The set-up usually alerts the person who monitors the cameras when there's motion near particular places (there are monitored cameras all over the place - in businesses, hospitals, schools).

I'd figure that a hospital would be more likely to be monitoring, even on weekends, and that a Men's Wearhouse might not even have a camera at all. The RTD stop didn't have a camera, which doesn't surprise me at all. There are various clues as to whether cameras are in use at strip malls...Barry was kind of hit and miss in his avoidance of cameras. Makes me wonder what he tossed first. He was hoping trash pick-up was daily at that RTD spot, but I bet it wasn't, during COVID.

I wonder if we'll hear next week that Barry tossed duct tape.

IIRC, the dumpster they saw the cleaning lady at was relatively close to their home.
Yes.
To add to that, if Men’s Warehouse was closed/not open to the public, trash bins probably weren’t scheduled for pick up on a regular schedule. Just speculating, but LE may have retrieved one of his trash dumps.. That, or surveillance was good enough that LE was able to zoom in and identify items he tossed. I don’t know why BM would’ve fessed up to disposing of tranquilizer material if LE didn’t have something on him (other than the tranq cap). My2cents
Agree.
He cant remeber anything else.
Well.Mr. Libler really did a bad thing, they would have been much faster in the Broomfield investigation knowing the circimstamce.

That is why I had asked about hog farms close by. Dump a body with a bag of feed and they will eat it all. If the hogs are all contained then it couldn’t happen.

We were horrified when Picton in BC did that.

I doubt the remains of deceased anything stay on the ground in that territory for long... which is why BM's claim to LE that he was "looking for a turkey his daughter had recently shot" when he spent time down by the river midday on the 9th is ridiculous.

While it may have surprised the girls that SM was involved with someone else, in time I believe they will have an understanding of what she had gone thru and completely understand her being human, if they already haven't. Imho there is nothing to forgive. There is understanding tho. There is absolutely nothing she did that should have amounted to an excuse to murder her. NOTHING!

If LE found a cap in the dryer and knew he had thrown out tranquilizer material, I would think they would want to know what he was using it for. I'm curious what his answer was.

Me too.

Another thing on my "I can't wait to hear THAT" list.
