Not for a lack of trying am I able to determine when Barry accessed the Forensic Files episode(s).

Would listening to the episodes be included as possible planning and support premeditation charges, for I recall one, in particular, that he listened to involved a Missing Person who vanished while on a bike ride?

If anyone has a link to toss my way, merci.

Pure speculation that it is the case of Jill Behrman, an Indiana case of a woman that went missing while on a bike ride. This link contains a podcast (but not Forensic Files.)

I'm trying to catch-up, reading @NoSI's excellent report from the prelim last week.

Did y'all see the "hydro" being spoken off was hydrocodone and not cannabis?

Phew. Thank you so much for the clarification @NoSI:)

Well, honestly, that was my impression. Again, looking through this with my own lense... It was mentioned with the other meds, so it was my impression that he was talking about hydrocodone. It was not confirmed. So take with grain (or block) of salt... :)

Can someone clarify: testimony was that SM took a selfie while sunbathing. Is that based on the actual background of the picture - i.e., the yard, hot tub, and/or lounge chair were visible in the photo - as opposed to assuming she was sunbathing because she was in swimwear (or possibly nude)?
I believe the AA is probably the source for "sunbathing" and this was probably taken from SM's communication with JL and possibly corroborated by BM. BM may have stated that SM was sunbathing when he left for Kims Gym or DSi to change the bobcat blade. I believe @NoSI confirmed that SM was wearing swimwear (chest covered) albeit her hair, draped forward, prevented one from determining if she was wearing straps. MOO

ETA: Confirming FBI Agents are telling the court that SM was sunbathing.

I reckon there's a chance BM had an affair in Indiana, this may have prompted the move to Colorado jmo
On this topic, sort of…. BM was seen gadding about with a younger woman with long reddish hair last fall? I mentioned at that time she must be a “honeypot”. She was, in fact, FBI? I don’t believe the FBI would stick a “honeypot” on a target, unless they were fairly certain the target would bite. IMO there had to be enough in BM’s history and/or character that they “read” him that way and allocated resources accordingly.

All this is to say, I’m agreeing with @Lyanna there had to be a history of affair(s).

*****

The redhead=FBI came up in the live Tweet chatter on WS. It was hard for me to tell exactly the phrasing from the witness on the stand. Maybe someone knows?

She’s a mutual friend of Suzanne and Barry, from Indiana. I think her testimony and recordings are going to play quite the role here.

Prior to the preliminary hearing, AM reported that based on BM's personal anti-drug stance, he was very much opposed to SM bringing medical MJ into their home-- even though it's widely known to benefit chemo patients.

I believe SO's texts described how BM feared "hydro" would cause SM to act differently (not fear of opioid addiction). I don't know if hydrocodone causes one to act differently. I recently had oral surgery and did not take but one hydrocodone because it caused me to sleep for 16 hours and I needed to be awake to keep icing my jaw!

Unless specified during testimony as "hydrocodone," I'm inclined to believe SM's repeated reference to "hydro" means hydroponic cannabis. I could be wrong but it just seems odd to me that SM would continue to discuss hydrocodone with both SO and JL.

Hydroponics Definition & Information - Weedmaps

Simply put, hydroponic weed—often called hydro weed—is cannabis grown using a hydroponic method. Typically, hydroponic weed is grown indoors in a fully controlled environment. This approach gives cannabis growers complete control over the plants' environment, which can produce more reliable crops, more consistent buds, and faster harvest cycles.

[..]

The use of hydroponics is believed to date back to 600 BC, where the cultivation method was used in the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Hydroponic techniques were also used in the 10th and 11th centuries by the Aztecs to grow crops at Lake Texcoco, and references to hydroponics were found in the writings of Marco Polo following his exploration of China in the late 13th century.

Wow! What exactly drew them to Colorado, did they have a connection there? I think I read it was a "fresh start" but why Colorado? The cost of living is quite high, not exactly a lot of bang for the buck.
IIRC, they had vacationed in the area many times and liked it. Like you, I still don't think SM especially wanted to move there, mainly because her marriage had been garbage for a while and she was thinking of ending it.

SM, Getting Away?

If defense tries to plant seed about her running away, either w or w'out "company," to an exotic island to sip umbrella drinks on the beach all day, to Ecuador, or Antarctica, I'd guess SM's passport would have disappeared along w her.

Any mention of her passport yet? Not yet that I recall yet but have missed some posts.

SM & BM's soc media pix show them on vacay in foreign countries w'in the last several yrs. Must have had a valid one, up to return from most recent trip abroad.

Not that I’m aware. I’d be shocked if it’s missing though, as Barry wasn’t staging a “Gone Girl” scenario. That’s merely an argument his attorneys are making after the fact.

From SM's social media, they had vacationed in Colorado well in advance and liked the area. A daughter applied to Colorado School early and was in her 2nd year when the parents and younger sister relocated to the area.

Anyone else hoping that they showed MG the boots and camo coat that BM binned in Broomfield? Perhaps he was wearing them at worksite Saturday?
This is where mind goes in to overdrive, the camera on my phone is used A LOT and some of the time for work related stuff, perhaps MG did this Saturday morning for some reason? Maybe thats why BM allegedly sent some friends to give a not so friendly reminder that she didn't need to hand over her phone - BM's boots and camo coat could be seen on it?

Really unlikely but just as plausible as some of BM's theories as to what happened o_O

That makes a lot of sense. I should change that in doc. If i could only figure out how to change it without the link changing...

That recording of the FF episode found on the spypen was I believe recorded in February 2020. I think it could have been considered a part of the premeditation. How crazy a coincidence that THAT specific forensic files episode was caught on the spy pen! I'm curious what other tidbits he picked up and applied to his own crimes. It seems to me he listened/watched crime shows to see what evidence caused the perpetrators to be caught and then tried to do better than them. Jmo

The family moved to Colorado with knowledge of SM's cancer and the fact they didn't have a landline always staggered me. Long before cell phones, landlines were a necessity and not a luxury. We know the previous owners had a landline as did the Ritters.

IMO, BM did the calling. He hired individuals that he could dominate and "took orders." If and when BM called, they were expected to be ready. A perfect example was MG, CC, and first-timer JP that departed to Broomfield because BM commanded they go there!

ETA: Airplane mode does not prevent wifi and I think most in the area communicate via text versus phone because of the spotty cell coverage.

And the way MG jumped out of bed and started getting ready for work just because she heard Barry’s truck outside. The way she told that story made it seem like she didn't even check her phone to see if he had called or texted her, just jumped outta bed at the sound of his truck... seems kinda PTSD-ish to me. I think she knew better than to question BM or keep him waiting. Jmo

FBI Agent Harris is now being asked about the spy pen. One recording is of Barry Morphew driving and the truck radio is heard speaking on News clips, forensic files like criminal cases. This is February or March of 2020. A recording of someone going missing while bike riding.

Totally agree. If he was trying to “save battery” he would’ve stated that as an excuse already. As far as I know, he hasn’t has he?

How many people here DON'T have a car charger? If he was that worried about battery loss, he would have picked up a $10 car charger. The airplane mode bs is to cover his tracks. I also wonder how often he did this and when he started doing this. I think BM had intelligence in some areas, but crime was not it. Back to your day job, Bear Bear!

Ok I missed that he was listening to a show about a person going missing while bike riding!
OMG...in Feb or March...
interesting.

That's rich.

His wife is missing.

He's just leaving his hotel room and then he's en route, and he DOESN'T take a call from LE?!!! TWICE?!!!! Are we kidding?! The rest of us would be eager for any word! Has she been found?! Is she okay? Is she hurt?

Stunning.

JMO

He probably had it in airplane mode...

The irony of that spy pen capturing BM listening to a FF missing biker show and a (lovers) conversation between SM and JL is mind blowing. It's truly as if Suzanne's orchestrating this from her grave (wherever that may be)

I can't wait to hear what else it captured.
